To start, i visited their website and submitted about 36 questions about the simple procedure i needed to have done. I have severe dental anxiety and made sure they knew that in the message! I got a call no less than 30 mins later from them! Brianna (sorry if i spelled it wrong) was amazing!! She answered every single one of my questions and made me feel comfortable. She was able to get me in to be seen in two days! She was also able to get me in for a consult AND i.v. sedation tooth extraction ALL IN ONE VISIT!! That just blew my mind! After we get there, i begin filling out the new patient paperwork (which was minimal) i go hand the paperwork back to the girl at the front desk. "Okay, you all finished?" "I think so!" Door swings open to the back and a young cheerful dude says "alright, well let's go then!" Once back in "THE CHAIR" i got the immediate rush of "oh, god.. oh god oh god!!" Until Ross began talking to me, he talked to me about what tooth was bugging me, where my dental anxiety stemmed from, where i was from, he went over every single thing that would happen today and even gave me an option i didn't even know existed! He definitely knew what he was talking about and had the best interest for my teeth! It was very professional but with a light and happy atmosphere. I was in and out in about an hour (only because they kind of had to squeeze in my extraction). The i.v. worked amazing!! And Dr. Cummings was like a magician! He was so fast! He has a very, very calming demeanor to him and overall just let's you know you're in good hands. You can tell they've all worked together for a long time and like to laugh a lot!! Which makes the whole experience so much better!! I could not have asked for a more amazing dental experience and i will be back!! GUYS.. they can even sedate you for CLEANING!!!! It's a dream come true!! Aaaaand they work with you on financing! I seriously am just blown away with every aspect of this place! OH AND THEY GAVE ME A BLANKET WHEN THEY STARTED THE I.V.!! I love blankets, they make me feel so safe! I have never, ever, ever hugged anyone on a dental team in my life until today. Thank you, Ross and Brianna for making this whole experience the absolute best that I could have ever imagined!!

Unfortunately I was informed that they can no longer (for the time being at least) do i.v. deep sedation for cleanings/fillings. This scared me a lot at first. Like, I wanted to leave as soon as I heard it. The dentist and I talked about alternatives to i.v. sedation and landed on oral sedation. I have had it before and didnt have a great result.. but, that was for a root canal, this time it was just fillings. So I figured I could manage. We got everything set up with ease and everyone was great throughout the process. Morning of the appointment I took my sedation pill and didnt really feel "sedated" but I also didnt feel like I was about to cry. Haha i put on my noise canceling headphones and the dentist and tech went to town, checking on me from time to time. Everything went great!! I'm so proud of myself for this small victory in the step of maintaining my teeth. Some people need way more help than others and everyone here is unbelievable. They really only want what's best for you, your teeth and your nerves! Love everyone here!

After all that the dental assistant was kind enough to let me know my x-rays would not be covered. I was told further by admin the dentist would be incapable of reading a scans from another office and I would have to pay a ridiculous amount out-of-pocket. I've been a loyal patient of Lamendola's Dentistry since they opened (seems like it's been almost…read more10 years now). Dr. Lamendola and his staff of hygienists and office crew are bar none the best in Ascension! I started out seeing Dr. Whiteside and when she switched practices, I began seeing Dr. Bourgeois. I have some of the worst anxiety about going to the dentist and this place goes out of their way to ensure their patients are comfortable. The environment itself is cool, clean, and calming (nice soothing music playing). You can get a weighted blanket, ear plugs with music playing, and there are TVs in each room to hold your attention elsewhere. Years ago, I remember even being offered paraffin wax treatments for my hands during my appointment! While they haven't offered me that in years, it was amazing and also did a good job of distracting me! I refuse to go elsewhere! If you're not 100% comfortable and 110% pleased with your dentist, scurry on over to Lamendola's and let them pamper you AND your smile!
