He is a great guy and, if it's possible, an even better dentist. The same goes for his wonderful staff! Lauren took me back for my X-rays; she was very friendly and easy to speak to. She even took the time to explain to me what the dots were on my X-rays - fillings, of course. I should've guessed. Next, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Shannon. So very nice! It turns her daughter is my SO's intern. Small world. I'm always impressed with the customer service and the latest technology at Louisiana Dental Center. Certainly worth the drive.

If you haven't been to dental school, go somewhere else. The long. Had a crown placed yesterday. Last night, discovered my retainer (of 15yrs) no longer fit on the ONE tooth behind the crown. (Presumable bc the crown is hitting... Which the dentist said when she put it in and left it bc it wasn't bothering me AND it hit evenly... Fine until the retainer didn't fit.) I happened to be taking the kid in for Ortho consult today and asked about the retainer. I was informed that "we can make you a new one for $350 bc you're not an ortho patient" but otherwise "there's nothing we can do bc you didn't tell the Dr you wear a retainer." Uh, it should be in my chart. I've mentioned it multiple times. But obviously it either wasn't read, or wasn't charted. Either way, it's a problem. I've had two crowns and two implants placed since I got this retainer ... Including one crown in this office last year. And it fit fine until yesterday. Never a problem until now. When I asked how would I have known that I should've told the Dr, shouldn't the Dr (the EXPERT) be the one to ask the questions of the patient? Not the patient being the one expected to tell the Dr what she needs to know? The employee shrugged. And smiled. And said "sorry. We can't do anything. You can pay for a new retainer." That's a lie. They can replace the crown. They can shave the crown down. They can make a new retainer no charge. They are choosing to make the drs mistake the patients problem to pay for. (And I know all those are options... I asked my retired dentist of 40yrs... He confirmed these are all viable options his former office would've taken... NOT telling the patient to pay for a new retainer.) But this office won't fix their mistake. They expect the patient to pay for it. So. If you read this far, go elsewhere unless you know all the potential things you might need to tell the dentist to ensure you get thorough care.

Having two small children "spend their day off at dentist" we were honestly dreading the wait; however, this dentist office was ready for us! They have a great immediate wait room but the icing on cake is the wait room for families in the back. It's close to where dental work is being performed. We could hear the RDA tending patiently to our stubborn 5yr old while entertaining our 8yr old. Its not just a great waiting room. The dental service was thorough and kids felt comfortable. I was told they had multiple appt times available. We chose 2pm. I set everything up with the woman on the phone and she told us to arrive at 1:45 to do paperwork. Sounded great. About 30 mins later, I got a call from a different number, another lady from their office saying she needed to verify some info about the appt. She asked about what my husband needed and confirmed that he was cash pay. She then said his appt was at 1:30 and we needed to arrive at 1:15. I hung up and called back to confirm if the appt time was at 1:30 or 2. The same woman (Tracy) said the appt was for 2 but we could come at 1:45. So we arrived around 1:30 anyway. My husband filled out the papers and waited. Multiple people were taken back before him. A little after 2 he asked the women at the desk how long it would be. They told him that they were just running behind and that it would be a little longer. So he waited. Around 2:30, he asked again and was told that his appt was actually for 4pm so he would have to wait. He got irritated and stated how we were told his appt was for 2. Another lady jumped in and said that she heard them this morning book the appt for 2 so she didn't understand why they were saying 4. Anyway, he complained so a few mins later they brought him back and did xrays only to tell him they couldn't do his cleaning that he asked for because they were trying to make him get a bunch of other more expensive services when all he wanted was a basic cleaning. So I guess the $129 service that we were quoted for over the phone wasn't enough and they wanted more. Well, they got nothing and lost a patient. Super unprofessional and unorganized!

They do not care. They will rip up the mouth. They care about money. that's it. This is the first review in Yelp in a decade, I thought everyone should know how horrible they treat people. They aren't patients, let alone people in their eyes. We are inconveniences at the most.
