He and my husband immediately started talking about sports, then family and finally dental history and health. The environment is very relaxing. The ladies are very sweet and helpful. Dr is not rough and informs you of everything he's getting ready to do or doing at that moment. He takes most insurances and their prices are very reasonable. At first the name turned me off because I thought an artistic dentist has to be pricey, but NOPE not at all ! My family and I have been patients at Artistic Dentistry under Dr. Roussell since the early 2000s. My children were in elementary school when we first began going there, and they are now in their 30s. Throughout all of those years, we never had a complaint and had a great deal of trust in the practice. Unfortunately, my recent experience under the new owner, Dr. Loftin, has been extremely disappointing. I inquired about Invisalign to close the gap between my front teeth. During my consultation, I was given a detailed explanation of the process, provided a quote, and shown a 3D simulation illustrating how my teeth were expected to move and what my smile would look like at the end of treatment. Based on that information, I committed to the treatment and followed all of the instructions I was given. After paying thousands of dollars, wearing Invisalign for months, and completing all of the trays provided, the gap between my front teeth is still there. It is essentially the same size as it was before treatment. Looking at my smile, you would not know that I had undergone Invisalign treatment at all. What has been especially upsetting is that, after investing so much time and money, the solutions offered to me were either veneers--which would require spending even more money--or possibly adding something to the back of my mouth to shift my teeth forward. I understand that dental treatment does not always produce perfectly predictable results. However, after being shown a 3D representation of the expected outcome, paying thousands of dollars, completing the prescribed treatment, and following the instructions, I expected a meaningful improvement in the issue I specifically sought treatment to correct. The hygienist, Heather, was thorough, gentle, and detail oriented. I am so happy to have found Artisitc Dentistry! I originally picked them out of my insurance lineup, and scheduled a regular checkup. A few days before that was to occur, a cusp broke off one of my molars and lodged into my gum! I called them freaking out and the office staff calmed me down and got me in to see Dr. Roussel that afternoon. I learned that Dr. Roussel always takes time to sit down and have an in-depth consultation with each patient. I also learned he has high tech equipment that allows him to make permanent crowns while you wait! So, in one afternoon my broken tooth was replaced with a permanent crown, and I have a future course of treatment planned that will resolve my other more minor problems. Dr. Roussel is an extremely knowledgeable dentist, who takes the time to let his patients know what is involved in their treatment. He and his staff are also very personable, and easy to work with. Let's just start off by saying I love going to the dentist.......said no one ever!!! Artistic Dentistry changed my mind on that thought though in my two visits there. The staff is very accommodating and everyone knows what they are doing. I mean you can sit in the dentist chair and look outside to their little courtyard area and watch squirrels run around.....it definitely takes your mind off of all the metal objects poking around inside your mouth. I had a terrible experience with this place. I had a root canal treatment, followed by a crown. They told me that my insurance covers the cost of the entire treatment. However, they then claimed otherwise and billed me for over $2,500. Unfortunately, this is not the end of it. Almost a year later, the crown, Roussel claims to hold over a decade, fractured and I ended up losing my tooth. I refused to pay the amount and tried to explain it to them. These people are so shameless that they end up sending the bill to a collection agency. I not only ended up paying over $4,000 for tooth extraction and an implant but I now have a collection stain on my credit report. I certainly do not recommend them to anyone. read more

Like many people, I had a fear of seeing any dentist. After our former dentist retired, Dr Roussel was chosen to care for our retired dentists former clients. . This is not your typical Doctor( yes, dentists are doctors). His calm and reassuring manner is genuine. Just feeling comfortable and at ease in the dental office will lead to a more enjoyable experience. His staff or team go out of their way to welcome clients. Dr. Roussel is experienced in dealing holistically during client care and interactions. One could not ask for or expect better care than you will receive at this office. Best dentist you'll find anywhere! I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana but have lived in Texas and now live in Virginia. Even living in Virginia now, I still travel back to go to Artistic Dentistry! Micheal Roussel DDS and his staff are great. They are a very positive group. If they have to tell you bad news(gum disease, tooth decay, etc) they will follow it with good news(how to fix and prevent the problem). I'm always in a good mood when I leave that office.
