When I telephoned the call center I was very clear of what I needed. I should have know that it was going to be something. At the front desk the young lady, had her donut half covered with her personal iPad on her desk. Secondly, I phoned the call center and they told me that take almost all insurances. Well guess what they don't take all insurances. And on top off that if you know you can't verify insurance on Saturday, why not ask the new patient for the insurance prior. I went in the office with the exception of getting x-rays and a teeth removal due to my crown failure and decay under the crown. The dental assistant was very professional and helpful. Dr. Williamson was nice but in all my years of dental services I have never had to get a medical release signed by my PCP. So it's evident that the practice must have been sued before cause he stated " he has to protect his license." As a professional in the health field, inform your patients of everything up front and don't have your receptionist inform them. So, I guess I should have stayed in my bed this early appointment on Saturday morning. I'm out of $29.00 for x-rays with an explanation of what could have occurred. My advice if you have time to waste and money then go at your own risk. So, I will continue to search for a professional dental office that will perform the services I needed. read more

I went to the Aspen dental clinic in on Millerville in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Very nice staff. They saw me the same day as I was in pain. I had to get my tooth pulled. Which was OK. I did not have a lot of pain but a couple of days afterwards, and that was it. I did not take hydrocodone. Then I returned for a scaling cleaning. I didn't think it was necessary, but I let them go ahead and clean my teeth. Everything turned out wonderful my teeth are pearly white. So I'm satisfied with this company. This company may suggest things to you, but as with every company if you feel, it's not necessary, you should always get a second opinion. read more

I'm 63, and retired. I went to Aspen dental on College for emergency repair since I recently moved to BR and haven't located a permanent Dentist. They have a motto that " Smiles are Contagious", but do not practice. I was refused service after waiting one and a half hours. I never raised my voice, I never raised my voice, I never cursed, I didn't threatened. I paitently waited for one and a half hours. I was shuffled from room to room. I only asked when I would be seen, which I think anyone would after such a long wait. then I was called to pay, and told I needed to come back two hours later for the re-cementing of bridge. of course I asked why, and was then told my thats my appointment was only an evaluation. I described my initial call to set up the appointment, that it was an emergency and cementing a bridge, she said that's not "her fault". I put my head in my hands out of frustration and gave her my CC. after a couple minutes the office manager and two others rallied around her and said I should go someplace else. I asked why, was told member of staff was "uncomfortable" with me in the office. I asked what "uncomfortable" meant and received no explanation. I stated I didn't understand since I had not raised my voice, threatened, cursed or was in any way threatening, and no one said I had. They "huddled" said for me to pay and return at 1:30. I paid and left, and on my way back for my 2nd appointment, received a call from them. The "office manager" then stated I was not welcome in their office and they would "refund" the payment. Again, I asked why and for some explanation, but never received one. I hate to draw conclusions but am left with no choice and I will tell you why. Every member of the staff was Black, and every other paitent that was treated in my visit also was. I am White. I hate to think in 2024, with a National Dental company that this is acceptable, but they apparently are the exception. read more

They don't return phone calls. Ive waited for over two months for them to get my bill straight so I can schedule my next appointment. I have left two messages in the past week with no return call. They finally called back after this post but the problem still has not been resolved. read more

I went into their office a week before my appointment to discuss what I needed with them. I returned for my appointment and was left in waiting for over 30 minutes. Then a young lady came for me and rushed me to an xray room where she did a complete xray of my entire mouth. She did not explain anything to me. Then I was herded like a cow to a room and this Asain lady came in and told me what she wanted to do. She completely disregarded previous notes from my visit. She was very PUSHY and would not listen to me. I finally asked her to be kinder and she became condescending and rude. I told her at that time I didn't want her to touch me and left. Very unpleasant experience. read more

All I have to say is know your insurance benefits before you ho there. I was in pain and went there for service. I was told I needed a root canal. The service I received was horrible. In the end ,I was advised it would cost me $4,000 out of my pocket. I knew this was wrong, and I was told it was correct based on my insurance. What they didn't know is I'm a retired benefits manager, and I knew exactly what my out of pocket should have been. Long story short, they had obtained the incorrect insurance quote. I found an excellent dentist and had my root canal with no out of pocket. Warning: Do not get any services done that will cost you anything without a pre determination from your insurance company who will tell you exactly how much you need to pay. Let me close by saying the office manager was extremely nice, even if misinformed by her employee. read more

I am appalled by my visit here. I moved to Louisiana last year and wanted to get my teeth checked after not going for some time due to college life, but I still have always cared about my oral hygiene. I never had too many cavities growing up or any real issues whatsoever. But during my visit, I was told I had over 10 cavities that were located between my teeth, so I needed multiple crowns and also a root canal. During my cleaning, I was advised to let them remove my permanent retainer because of the cavities it can cause. Then I was told I had gingivitis and would need a procedure that was over 300 dollars, and in two separate visits I would have to return for, and with little detail or time to think, I was set up to schedule it. With some hesitation, I canceled the gingivitis procedure appointment after leaving the dentist's office and made an appointment with my hometown dentist, whom I trust for a second opinion. I have now seen my hometown dentist, and my diagnosis was a couple of cavities that are "complelty normal for an every day college student." I have now seen the other reviews left by people saying this dentist chain is just out for your money, and it's undeniably true. This establishment should be ashamed of itself--anything to benefit them at the end of the day read more

I waited for over 2 weeks for my dental appt to arrive. I suffered with this toothache and many sleepless nights for even longer than that. Received several appt reminder msgs and emails from the ofc; ONE SENT JUST THIS VERY MORNING!!, assuring me that my appt was still scheduled and even though the phone lines were down, they were still ready for me to arrive at my appt. All of this, only to show up to my SCHEDULED appt today at 330p @ Aspen Dental On COLLEGE DR, to the receptionist taking my name and number down to give me a call back to RESCHEDULE my appt. I said, "excuse me, you said reschedule?" thinking i misheard what she said. She said, " yes maam, reschedule! Our system is down and we cant take any appts." I informed her that i had received several appt reminders and how I have been suffering in pain waiting on this appt. She apologized and said it was nothing they could do. I walked outside, out of frustration and then re-entered and asked, "well is there an emerg dentist somewhere that you think you can refer me to, in the mean time?" She says, no im not sure of one and the ppl in the back wouldn't be aware of one either! I am not only upset and frustrated but BAFFLED that something like this could happen!! I know the phone lines were down and you could not call, but why text and email someone that you assure them that you are all set to see them for their visit today? It is completely unprofessional and shows that you lack compassion for your future patients, since this would have been my very first time with your clinic, after such a horrible experience with another clinic. My faith in dentists has gone completely down!! I promise I wish i didnt have to go at this point. You could have at least had someone else to refer to since your system did not allow you to help me at a very painful time... I am now stuck having to find another dentist and it was at that time 335p, a time where most dental ofcs are closed or closing. Soooo unacceptable !! I never do these types of posts but i was left with no choice but to respond, after my experience today!! read more
