I came across Codona Flooring while searching for floor suppliers and decided to give it a try. I…read moredid not know I needed an appointment but once I got inside Milos said it was fine and allowed me to look around. He also gave some advice which I appreciated. I took pictures of the two floors and said I'll let them know. From this point on for some reason, I can no longer reach Milos but only Oliver, which to be honest I didn't care so much so long as we could get the work done. At first it was alright, we had a few text exchanges and decided to move on with ordering some flooring from them and asking them to do the installation. Then it went downhill from there as Oliver was not very responsive to my messages and took him a while to give me the WSIB and Liability Insurance. Anyhow we managed to get through. Then came the day(s) of installation. Oliver first told me he would bring 3~4 guys and finish the job in a day, but he showed up later (late too) with only one more guy and the job did not finish in that day. Then about one or two weeks later he finally was able to come and finish the job. Overall it was good and I appreciated his and his coworkers' hardwork, but the smaller details were certainly lacking. As seen in the uploaded photos the little gaps between the floor planks and between the floor and window frame Oliver never came and fixed; there was also a few other places that the baseboards were missing. The job was "done" in about March, now it is almost June. It was a misfortune that throughout April I caught COVID, and Oliver ( and his girlfriend) was not feeling well. I've got to be honest here and say that it felt as if Oliver did not want to come anymore, that he was making up excuses, because I was always the one making calls and asking him to schedule, only once did he call me and told me his availability on certain days. Finally we decided on a date but he said he did not bring his material so he will not show up. To me that is just unprofessional that you just don't show up, I'd rather you show up late because at that point I've pretty much expected him to show up late anyway. Then later we booked for another date and he just never showed up at all. Very unprofessional and unresponsive. Another confession though, I certainly should not have paid the full amount, knowing that there were problems he needed to fix. But aside from this issue it conveys to me the unprofessionalism and lack of workmanship / responsibility in Oliver. Codona Flooring may or may not be a good floor installer and supplier based on Google Reviews (4.9 Stars, wow, I wish I had that kind of service), but I could certainly say that Oliver did not match up to this 5 star standard. Oliver, if you are reading this, I want to let you know that you win, that you've successfully tired me out and I no longer wish to deal with you and your delays. To gents and ladies if you were to use Codona Flooring, from my POV I suggest finding Milos or somebody else in Codona Flooring (to avoid Oliver), or find a different contractor. The floor collection was nice, but not the service. Edit: Got a call from Oliver on Saturday May 22nd who told me he could come by that day. Came on Sunday instead due to the thunderstorm and power outage. and he fixed the floor and covered the gaps for me. Thank you for coming by and finishing up the job.

His work ethic was outstanding. He was punctual, organized, showed attention to detail, and worked long hours to keep the project on schedule. His team of skilled professionals was equally reliable and did excellent work. The entire team was very respectful of our home and tidy. Rob was the only one to respond positively to my request. Several businesses did not respond and another said my job was too small. Rob answered in a timely manner, requested more information and several photos to evaluate the job. He came up with a plan and costs that fit my budget. Set a date for work and he was on time and ready to work. Also had a few smaller jobs he was able to do for me at the same time. Very pleased with his work ethic along with what I felt was a fair cost for labour and parts supplied. I will be calling him again when I need future work. Definitely a person to contact for your projects.

I purchased engineered hardwood through Nick with an installation date of Oct 29/30. I was living…read morein a hotel due to a flood and was not in my unit when the floor was installed. When I moved back in on Nov 12 I discovered glue all over my floor, chips, scratches, dents from dropped tools, holes and saw marks and none of the doorstop moulding they applied was installed correctly. To date I have sent photos to Nick 3 times, spoken to the manager who appears to be completely out to lunch and have called Nick numerous times to have this resolved. each time Nick promises to call be the next day at a particular time to resolve the issue and to date he has not called back once, I have to keep calling him. The installers were Adam Kharaman and his son from Kharaman Flooring. I asked Adam to come back to repair the floor and remove the doorstop moulding so I could have another company come in and do the job properly, he removed most, not all, of the doorstop and destroyed my baseboards, which will now also need to be replaced. I had to ask him to remove the nails, which he said he would hammer in. He did sort of hammer a few over, but most of the nails are sticking straight out of my baseboards now. The floor has not been repaired and replaced where necessary and every time Adam comes into my home he causes more damage and is now not allowed back. Take a look at the photos and decide for yourselves whether this is a job you would want done in your home. So far, I have been offered a"free" box of flooring, which does me no good since A) I am recovering from a spinal fusion, and B) I"M NOT A BLOODY FLOORING INSTALLER; I PAID FOR A BLOODY FLOORING INSTALLER TO DO THE JOB! I want this done so the restoration from the flood is complete, and I can move on with my life. At this point, I'm going to have to get a lawyer involved. This whole experience has been a bad joke. UPDATE: Jan 06- Nick Granita made an appointment with me to come out this evening at 6:00 pm to take a look at the shoddy workmanship and discuss repairs, as expected; he did not call or show up at my home. UPDATE: Jan 07 - I called The Hardwood Flooring Store and asked to speak to the owner; Ron Ander who told me he was with a client and couldn't speak to me and then had a meeting but would call me back in 45 minutes. Fair enough, but as expected, like NickGranita he did not call back to discuss the issue. UPDATE: 08 - I just spoke to Ron Ander who tells me this has nothing to do with him or his company and unless I remove this revue he isn't going to do anything to have the the job that I paid for completed and that he's going to post a response saying that I'm some sort of crank. Well, Mr Ander, Kahraman Flooring was sent out by your company and as the owner the buck stops with you. I have been trying to come to some sort of resolution since Nov 15 2024, this review wasn't posted Mid-December, your company had plenty of opportunities to turn this around but chose not to. Again, look at the photos of their work and ask yourself who the crank is and if this is the kind of work you would want in your home. Jermaine came out right away and took measurements and got details of what I wanted. He later gave me a call with a very reasonable quote and I confirmed that I was happy with the quote and wanted to move forward. I advised Jermaine that I needed an official diagram of the work that would be done so I could have it approved by my condo board. After signing an agreement that I am going to be working with them, I had a beautiful, detailed diagram to present to my condo board for approval. Once I had the approval, we signed our official contract and went over the payment schedule and Jermaine and his crew completed everything from start to finish in 5 days. I was extremely satisfied with the whole experience. My fence is beautiful. Jermaine is very hard working and professional, friendly and polite. Shana handled all communication and emails and inquiries I had during the whole process and her customer service was amazing as well. I highly recommend this company to anyone in durham. They are outstanding. I've already requested them for my next job of redoing my patio and laying fresh sod and I am excited for the end results, because I know Jermaine will do an amazing job. With 2 large dogs, we cannot let them get out of our yard, and we had held our collapsing fence together with several beams of wood and large pots filled with rocks. I contacted 6 companies. Need A Hand was the first to respond. Jermayne, the owner, showed up soon after to measure the fence, ask us our preferences, and gave us a quote on the spot! Eventually, we had a few other quotes, and Need A Hand was the most cost-effective of all, and they had several suggestions for strengthening the fence so that it was not as susceptible to winds (we live in a wind tunnel!). Jermayne and his crew were pleasant, responsive to suggestions, and built a very beautiful fence in timely fashion. They left the yard in pristine condition, and even managed to preserve some of my plants, including heirloom roses. Those have nasty thorns, but they willingly worked around that. The results were great. For a professional job, pleasant and reasonable workers who will listen to you, and offer you a reasonable price, Lend A Hand may be the place for you to go if you need home repairs. Located in Oshawa, they quite happily worked on our Pickering location. I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking to make outdoor or indoor repairs or improvements.
