For the initial quote I met with Behtash Adib. He was punctual, professional and took the time to answer any and all questions. While deciding on the scope of the job Behtash was consistent with prompt responses and information. The basement waterproofing was done by Ade, Shy and Vandyke. During the project they noticed a potential problem in the same room unrelated to their work. The team notified me and even paused while they had a specialist stop by and check it out. This was above and beyond and extremely helpful. The second project was my front steps. Over the years the cement steps cracked and started to settle into the ground. The concrete repair team fixed this quickly, with excellent results. Andrew and Russel took the time to confirm my expectations of the job and answer any questions I had. Before booking with groundworks I read only stellar 5 star reviews, and I am confident in saying they are all well deserved.

After waiting for the stated period, got a call from the office saying that the work could be started. The next day, Crew-Esbum, Simpson arrived early in the morning. It was one of the hottest day in the year, 33+ degrees! The crew worked very fast and were very friendly. By noon, they have finished digging and sealing the crack on the foundation wall. In another 2 hours, they had refilled the hole compacted it and cleaned up the site. All was done efficiently, it was a great job! Hopefully, we will have no more water leak in the basement!

They are SCAM....In April 2026, I searched online for basement waterproofing contractors through…read moreadvertisements and Facebook. A representative of HRC Waterproofing inspected my basement, provided a quotation, and we agreed on the price. We signed a written contract (copy available). The contract was dated April 10, 2026, and the company agreed to begin the work on April 12, 2026, with payment of the remaining balance upon completion. At the time of signing, the representative specifically requested a cash deposit. I only had $50 available at home and paid that amount in cash as a deposit. After the contract was signed, the company repeatedly failed to attend the scheduled work. During the following month, I made numerous follow-up calls and messages. Each time, I was given various explanations, including weather-related delays. Relying on the company's assurances that the work would be completed, I did not hire another contractor during that period. As a result of these delays, my basement continued to experience water intrusion after rainfall, causing additional damage, inconvenience, and stress. After waiting for approximately one month without any work being performed, I was forced to hire another waterproofing company to address the problem. I subsequently requested the return of my $50 cash deposit from HRC Waterproofing because no work had been performed and the company had failed to honor the contract. Despite multiple requests, the deposit has not been returned. The manager advised that he did not know how to transfer the money, and as of today, the deposit remains outstanding. My complaint is that the company failed to perform the contracted work within a reasonable time, repeatedly delayed the project for approximately one month, caused additional damages while I was waiting, acted irresponsibly, communicated in an unprofessional manner, and has not refunded my cash deposit despite providing no services.

David also had the nerve to come back to us an admit a miscalculation and assert that he would not return unless additional funds were paid. At no point was there a thought of maintaining his name, and for this reason we were forced to post this review with the understanding that he has certainly done this to other colleagues of ours in the industry after some quick investigation. He then proceeded to place a lien on our home and tried to leverage potential legal costs against the amount owed when the original contract (without any notices of increase being issued until his admittance that his subcontractor would be more expensive than his original price) was paid.
