I'll be doggone if I didn't leave out with a new couch! LOL Austin greeted us at the door and I'll tell ya ... I knew he was gonna end up selling me something. He was soooooo personable. So respectful. So sweeet. Pimp was sold when Austin invited us to have some free ice cream in the cafe (even though I told him we were "just looking".) We found EXACTLY the kind of couch we were looking for. We were flip-flopping between that and actually a more expensive one but Austin pointed out some things that helped us realize that higher priced one wouldn't work. THEN, we found out we could do 12 months same as cash. Pimp was sold. Oddly enough, the trip to the ladies room sealed the deal for me. The bathroom was tidier than my own at home. But when I asked Austin about whether they still "Scotch Guard" the furniture, and he explained how their company "didn't trust" that product to be safe for their customers, but had a protection policy instead ... what the helllllllll! We now have a new couch. Austin ... if you ever decide to sell cars ...

Don't buy the furniture protection package!!…read more We purchased two recliners and a side table and was urged to buy the protection package called 'goof proof coverage.' The side table immediately started showing signs of chipping paint. We contacted Bob's and after emailing them pictures of ALL of the damaged areas (FYI we do not have small children living with us) they directed us to file a claim with GUARDIAN PROTECTION PRODUCTS, INC. Today, I received an email telling me that our claim was not a covered benefit. Save your money!! Do not buy the furniture protection package! It was an additional $249.00 added to our bill for a 5-year warranty (we purchased electric recliners). Very poor service and very, very poor-quality table!

Oct. 15, 2024 RUN, RUN, RUN - from 'National UNCLAIMED FREIGHT STORE' in Lansing, MI does not…read morestand behind their products! I was told by staff member 'Joe' at the end of this furniture problem that he "sat on all the couch cushions in the store and within 10 minutes the fabric began to bunch up on every cushion". He refused to refund the furniture we bought & the 'the manufacturer (Benchcraft) will not speak to customers!' He also said that we're supposed to hand brush the fabric backwards after each time that anyone gets up, from sitting down. I told him this is 'Faulty furniture & this problem 'is not a normal thing' for furniture to do. (whole story below) We won't be back to this place again! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (I dont want other people to get ripped off like we did. Buy from a trusted large, name brand store.) (Beginning:) After purchasing a love seat & chair, within the first week the fabric began 'bunching up' on all 3 seat cushions & stayed like that (on all 3 cushions). I called National Unclaimed Freight store in Lansing & I texted photos of the 'fabric bunching problem' clearly seen in photos, upon their request, & I also stated that I wanted to return the furniture & get a refund. The staff politely said they would order 3 new cushions at no cost and said let's try this first. After a lengthy wait, maybe 3 weeks I think it was (or seemed that long) the staff brought 3 new cushions out to us, that again started doing the same 'fabric bunching up on all three cushions'. I called the store back again, then at 'Joe's request... I texted new photos, of the new cushions, to 'Joe' whom I spoke to before, & again I stated that I want to get a refund on this furniture. It's now going on week #2 after calling, & I still have not received a call back. So I called again tonight with nobody answered the phone. We bought this furniture on July 12, 2024 but I believe it was approx. seven weeks before we received it. Search reviews online and at BBB.org (Better Business Bureau) to find furniture stores with a good reputation that stand behind their products & name to keep their customers coming back!!!!! I need to post this on BBB too.

Do not buy a mattress here. They are only here to prey on the people of BC because they have no…read moreother options. I've purchased 3 mattresses here in the last decade and all 3 were crap. All 3 times I either dealt with Gus or Trent, who are very good at their jobs. The first one (2016) was cheap at $400 because we had no money. Cheap in the sense that these were way overpriced mattresses for what you're getting to begin with. Within a month It started sinking in like we were bouncing bowling balls off of it every day. It looked like it had potholes. We had to tolerate sleeping on that crap for 2 years until we could afford a new one. So two years later we had saved about 1k which I know still isn't much, but we paid $400 for a prison cot there already, apparently. We spent $800 on a $950 mattress. It was amazing at first. And then just like the last one, it began sinking in in various spots on the bed, this time within 3 months. Wtf? What happened to mattresses lasting at least a decade? We can't even get through a year! I'd be happy with 5 years at this point! We don't have kids that play around on the beds, I weigh 120 lbs and my husband weighs 170. What is the problem now? So instead of admitting we waisted our money AGAIN, we spend the next 4 years switching out bed frames thinking thats the reason things kept screwing up. 3 bed frames, several foam pads, giving up and putting the mattress on the floor, and 4 years later, we need another mattress AGAIN because we're friggin broken in our 30s because our bed was so uncomfortable. This time we looked around first, for months. The timing was bad being shortly after covid so it was difficult to find a mattress store that didn't close down. We attempted to order a mattress online twice, but it was too expensive and we didn't even know if we'd like it. The only other mattress store that was open with displays was in Grand Rapids and they don't deliver to Battle Creek. So here we were, once again in 2022 stuck with having to buy a mattress at this store. I get now why they're still here, because they're it! No wonder the quality doesn't have to be great. But we were convinced we just needed to invest more money into a decent mattress. This time we threw down $1400 on a $1495 Sealy Posturpedic. I was so excited. That mattress was a Godsend, for almost a year. And then the same friggin thing started happening. It was slower to start, but once it started, the mattress was crap just a couple of months after that. It sunk on both sides leaving a huge bar down the middle causing no area on the mattress to be comfortable at all. Now its 2026 and most nights we sleep on our 10 year old couches so we don't wake up feeling 80 years old. I am so over it! So I called Sealy to let them know that their mattresses are crap. I've never done that before, but I was heated. Thats way too much money to have them die in less than a year. They told me, after laughing at what we paid for it at a "discount store" , that those mattresses didn't meet full quality control, so they didn't go to the big box stores for that reason. They went to discount stores AND they're supposed to disclose this. He told me they wouldn't even have honored my warranty in the beginning because of where we bought it. They are final sale mattresses because they're essentially crap but still legal to sell at a discount. Nice. So there you have it, folks. No matter how much you spend at this store, you will be buying junk and you will spend more trying to fix it than its worth. Save your money and order direct if you live in BC or you will just get taken advantage of because you have no other options. We almost have enough for a new mattress again and I will be ording direct from Sealy this time with a ten year warranty. The way it should have been. You guys, Trent, should be ashamed of yourselves for ripping people off the way you do. I will make sure as many as many people as I can in this community know it too.
