Called asked for office manager who did call me back who tried to explain and twist it like I canceled my appointment... didn't feel like I was given a true apology. She kept insisting on a procedure where she would force out a bridge that was cemented to healthy teeth, warning this could break healthy teeth. I declined the procedure . I didn't want to risk breaking healthy teeth. She kept insisting on the procedure. I had to refuse and decline her advice multiple times; too many times. at the end of visit she wished me harm and said "well I hope when you go home, you eat a piece of candy and bridge cap pops off then you have to turn around and come back. It's amazing how her entire demeanor changed when I declined her recommendation. This is why they get one star.

I didn't hear anything else nor did I get any more bills until I get a text from a collection company for 185.00 so I paid it im not going to mess up my credit. But I did call the billing company to argue the point and put my dental insurance company on the call. Come to find out the billing office did not apply the negotiated rate to the bill. I am now waiting for them to return my money which they say can take 3 to 4 weeks this is unfair to the customer. In booking the appointment for urgent dental care, I confirmed with the scheduler that the practice takes my insurance (high level federal employee dental coverage). I was informed when I arrived for my appointment that they do not take my insurance and was asked to self-pay instead. I canceled the appointment on the spot. Problematic on several levels: 1. Waste of 2 weeks to address an urgent dental need when another practice could have been found. 2. The possibility that treatment will now cost more because of further delay. 3. I had to ask the business manager *not* be charged for the scheduled visit. 4. The business manager, who was nice and listened, seemed surprised at my experience because "the practice takes very few forms of insurance". Nice. 5. Taking time off from work unnecessarily. In a climate of the corporatization of health care-- not a good look if the goal is to convince the public that the business cares about the community it "serves".
