Pow wow after the classroom before they lined up, in their fancy driving suits.

My husband got this as a gift for his birthday in 2020, pre-pandemic shut down. It took a year for us to make it to Vegas to use and there were some definite downsides to this. First, the giftcard was purchased to cover the entire price of an 8 minute ride. When we booked a year after purchase, the price had gone down so he was issued a credit for the remaining balance (no refund was offered despite them changing things, not us). Cool... or so we thought. Fast forward to 2021 and we arrive at 10:30am for his 11am track time. Present said credit and ask what it can be used for: photos, videos, merchandise. Cool, paid for a single photo plague and were told to save the rest for use on merch after the drive. Not a problem. Then the waiting began. About 11:10 they took all the 11am class guys to the classroom for the training (which I'm told was done well and had good information). At 12:04pm they came out in their fancy driving suits, where they had another pow wow before being told to line up to drive. At 1:20pm, it was finally my husbands turn to helmet up and drive! Why did it take so long you ask? Because they were only running 1 person at a time on the track and the 10am class was still in process. No one could tell me why, but I got the impression it's a track rule because an employee told me they do multiple cars at other tracks. Anyway, he got in the car and they took his photo, the photo I wanted for that $40 plague we bought. He did his 8 minutes (about 6 laps so I'm not sure it was actually 8 minutes, I just didn't clock it). He was happy, I was happy. Next was to return the suit, pick up the photo, and use the rest of the gift certificate on hats and shirts. And here is where I went to tears out of frustration and annoyance at the lack of information shared with me, and apparently between the employees there. First they looked for the photo and could find it. Turns out, the photo that goes on the plague is supposed to be taken before they drive in front of a banner with the company logo on it in their drivers suits. We were not told this, so now I have a photo of my husband in street clothes, with myself and one of our children as the other had fallen asleep during our 3 hour wait. Then I asked to use the remaining gift cert to get my husband a hat and our son a shirt. Nope, couldn't do that, despite being told at the beginning of this adventure that I could. That gift cert could only be used for driving or photos from that side of the trailer. Fine, bought the hat (no kids shirts or I would have bought that too). Because I knew we wouldn't use the remaining $40 on this gift cert, I tried to have the lady running that side of the trailer keep it to use for someone coming later in the day so it would be used. She insisted I keep it because "you never know, you might want to use it." I can promise you , I will NEVER use this piece of paper. What makes me the angriest is the man I spoke to was apparently the man in charge. Despite seeing me in tears at the misinformation we were told and lack of options for what to use this certificate for, he made no move to make it right. No offer to find some common ground that would make us both happy. Nothing. Just "well keep it. You can use it next time." My husband had a great time, so that's the only reason I gave 2 stars. I was highly disappointed at the ineffective way they run the drivers, the misinformation I was given, the fact I overpaid because they changed the price but was not offered a return for THIER change, and the overall rudeness of the man in charge. My husband said "I had a good time and that's all that matters" so after writing this, I will let it go. And find a use for the second most expensive piece of paper I have: a gift certificate that will never be used because we will NEVER do business with the Mario Andretti Racing Experience again, nor will we recommend others do it and give the cert to them to use. Poor customer service, or perhaps poor customer satisfaction is the better way to put it. UPDATE: I recieved an email 2 days after our trip to view and purchase the photos taken in the car, you know the one I wanted to begin with. Spent $25 to download the photo and another $3 to print at Walgreens but at least I have that $40 crappy plaque to put it in. Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didnt add for $50 I could have bought the entire album my photo was in, but why I need 15 or so photos of people I dont know (yes, you can buy other peoples photos) plus 15 or so generic Vegas images and track shots, I'm not sure. Highly disappointed.

    Such an awesome experience!!!

Seriously, I had the best time!!! You will never go faster than you do on that track, and it is thrilling, crazy, fun, and scary all at the same time! The employees are awesome (Donny S was my driver), and the experience is something I'll never forget. I give it my highest recommendation!

Wow what an experience . It was a life time experience for me . The thrill of driving a NASCAR on a real NASCAR track is beyond expression . The adrenaline was rushing and excitement was at its pick . The staff and assisting drivers were very cooperative and helpful . They want to make sure that you have a best experience of life and you get what you pay for and you come back for more . Safety is their priority and they do not comprise with it at any cost . I am coming back for more .

Do you enjoy driving a NASCAR stock car? If you do, this is the place for you. Make a reservation, pay in advance, hop a shuttle at Paris Paris, sit through the training, suit up, wait your turn in the covered bleachers, and off to the races you go literally. They also have a USB plugged in so you can purchase GoPro version of your driving experience. This event can be expensive; plan on paying about $400 and extras like commemorative plaques, videos, pictures, ball caps, and T-shirts are extra. Still well worth the money if you like driving a race car at 150+ MPH. An instructor sits in the passenger seat and gives you guidance and can slow you down if you get going too fast. Just plain FUN!

Great and friendly track and staff. My kids did the ride-a-long in Joey Loganos car. I would highly recommend this for any fast driver or any nascar fans!!! (See picture) However, when you get to the track dont stop at the main building as they are not affiliated with the petty experience and the brunette was not informative. So, head out towards the track, follow signs..go under the tunnel..there is a petty experience office out there that will assist you in anything you need, driving, riding..very friendly and very helpful. I've got to say.. I have done some pretty cool/adrenaline-type/adventure stuffs and while this doesn't beat skydiving over Lake Wanaka or Bungy Jumping over the Shotover river in Queenstown; it is not trailing far behind. I booked a Rookie Tour with the guys at the Richard Petty Driving Experience and my mates got himself a ride-along with one of their drivers; and we both loved it. It was great fun. The Rookie Tour is basically you at the wheel of a 600 HP Nascar Race car w/ an experienced driver in the seat next to you and he guides and makes sure that you don't kill yourself during the 8 laps that you're allowed to do at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I really liked the whole experience - they pick you up at a pre-determined location on the strip, drive you out to their shop (where you learn a bit about their story and how they do things & you can also get photos with some of their really cool cars) then to the Vegas Speedway, get you geared up and show you a safety video. Then you head to the track and wait your turn to race. There are some really cool cars along the track where you can get shots.... Bumblebee was there! The only letdown is that you are only allowed to do 8 laps, which goes really really fast! It's quite pricey (I paid about $650) but worth doing if you in Vegas - the guys are very nice and they make sure that you have a great time!

You drive, or they drive, depends on your self-confidence

As seen, in my Pics The Gift Shop's items' isn't priced too badly; there were some items that I was considering, but you know how it is, after the Holidays, your bank account is pretty lean; I have a lot of people to buy for, I've got a large family. There were five Grinch- themed trees. Many of the trees were decorated very nicely. It's a beautiful sight to see. We went on the Carousel, and we did two rounds of Mini-Golf, which was fun. We also went down the Avalanche twice. Stringbean went three times. Gone are the years of seeing all of the Gingerbread Houses. Now, there are a lot of fundraising food/drink stands, I get it, it's an organization.

How can you go wrong with an electric powered vehicle that was designed for bumping into other cars? Well, head on collisions can really mess up your back, spine, or whatever other skeletal terms you wanna go by. That is why for this track you are only supposed to go in one direction. In this case, counter clockwise. Still you will have those people that either dont know how to drive or just wanna be idiots and bump into everybody or both. You must be 54 inches tall to drive, at least 42 to ride. Before you are even let on to the track, you have those measuring sticks there at the entrance. Make sure to buckle up or the attendant walking around will not let the fun begin. Each car can fit two people if one is not tall enough to drive. There is only the one gas pedal on the left. To slow down or stop, simply just take your foot off the pedal. Or you can just bump into somebody if you wanna stop right away. To back up towards whatever direction you wanna go just turn the steering wheel to all the way to the extreme right or left. In the end, even after all this info, some people just dont know how to drive. Dont let any of these people drive you to the hospital. If im not mistaken I think the overall time given to drive around is 5 minutes. Yelp 2014 365 Review Challenge #172 "Road rage starts here"

The signs weren't that great for this especially at night so good luck! The lights are really nice and synchronized to music. They also have a train to take you through the lights. Train is $3 per person or 2 for $5. CASH ONLY. The train comes around about every 15 minutes. I highly recommend the train at the end of the night to go through the lights and to get back to the exit. RIDES They had a swing ride, Ferris Wheel, Roller coaster, Cups spin ride and Slide and bouncy houses. The swing ride has a strict 52" or you can't ride at all. All of the others have height restrictions that are good for most kids above about 3 years of age. It was nice because the rides had little to no wait. They sanitize between each ride. I think if it's not too busy and kids want to go twice in a row they should just let them and it would save wait time for sanitizing and going again. Also, they had to share rides operators for some of the more popular rides so you had to wait an extra long time if you didn't time it right. I get that the crowd probably isn't big enough to have ride operators everywhere, but they also didn't need 4 people just for checkin. GAMES They had a few games throughout and it seemed like everyone was a winner because there weren't that many people. The one game we played the kids won and it made them happy. FOOD They have food right when you walk in and close to the rides. I recommend waiting until you are close to the rides if you want food because you have a pretty long walk through the lights before you go to the rides. You don't want to have to carry anything extra. Hot chocolate is $5, Hot dogs are $5. All prices are typical fair prices. Overall everyone had a great time! During COVID times I appreciate that places like this are available for the kids to have some fun. I thought it was done nicely and the crowds were minimal. I recommend since tickets are through event brite that they offer to buy train tickets and food packages online so you don't need cash. I also think a game or 2 should be included with the unlimited pass. We would do it again and some the proceeds go to opportunity village so it's a good cause.
