I've sent her all the photos and information to which she sent me a link to file a claim myself. Of course the link didn't work but she kept insisting I file it, not her. I have never dealt with a company that charges so much for shipping and then a handling fee on top of that and then takes a percentage of the cost of the item (which is passed on to the customer), and then refuses to follow through with a refund. This is a terrible franchise so unless you want another job, doing half of Kelsey's, I suggest you never give these people any money.

Wish I had followed my own advice before engaging Caring Transitions in Baltimore, Maryland (the Baltimore Franchise) to handle a July 2021 "Estate Sale" for our recent relocation. Our home in Maryland was nearly 7,000 square feet and filled with 40+ years of collectibles, antiques, furniture and valuables (yes, lots of stuff that would be considered junk too)... The big mistake I made in engaging Caring Transitions was not fully understanding the 'sales pitch'...I understood from the conversation with their sales rep they were going to charge me hourly rates ($65 an hour) for all their prep, packing, etc. plus charges for packing supplies and for staffing and running the auction and actual sale. Turns out they do charge for all of that at $65 an hour plus a 'Lot Preparation Fee' called "Sale Management and Creation on their "Total Services" listed on accounting I received...AND they charge 35% of all sale proceeds (after deducting credit card and PayPal fees) in addition to all the labor charges. That 35% is across the board, regardless of sale value...so, for example $5500 of highly collectible bourbon took a 35% haircut along with everything else... In addition, the "Online Auction" for our rather large sale only lasted three or four days...there was no way we got adequate exposure or time to sell at reasonable prices. It appears that the 7,000 plus buyers they tout to people like us are knowledgable that a Caring Transition auction is a good place to 'steal stuff' at below bargain basement prices...sure, I know that a lot of household stuff is of minimal value when you go to sell it...In a Caring Transitions online auction EVERYTHING seems to have minimal value. The bottom line for our activity with them was a sale that generated $22,700...significantly less than expected. And, after all their fees and charges plus their 35% commission on the sale, they calculate that our 'net proceeds' are $3,700 - less than even the value of the Bourbon...should have kept it...would have at least eased the pain of doing this... If you are considering Caring Transitions PLEASE BE CAREFUL and take your time before signing anything with them. It is going to cost you a lot more than you might think from the sales pitch!! You have no leverage once your sale is 'done'...it can't be 'undone'...BUYER BEWARE!
