I have had appointments with both Bill, and Emily, and both have been tremendous to work with. The last few years, Emily has been awesome answering any and all of my (probably) ridiculous questions. She is available via phone or email for any questions I have before or after my appointment. The best part is that I know I am getting what I am paying for, and that not only is awesome customer service but professionally done taxes that each year seem easier and easier because of some of the work and recommendations that Emily has made to help me owe less each year with different withholdings and tax exemptions I knew nothing about. She is not only super knowledgeable but she is very good at explaining things in a way that someone who knows little to nothing about accounting would understand. I appreciate both her, Bill, and Susan, and the "family-like" atmosphere each time I walk into their office. They are awesome people, they take their time, they answer your questions, and you'll never feel rushed during an appointment with them. Could not recommend more and have recommended several people since I began, including my girlfriend. Plus, they are products of the Northeast-10 Conference (Bentley) so even better to work with fellow NE-10ers :)

BUYER BEWARE-- Darn it.. there was no ZERO star option. Let me tell you a story of the WORST…read morecustomer service experience I have ever had. My parents have gone to Bill and referred me in my 20s. I have been going to Bill for over 30 years. I have bought countless boxes of Girl Scout cookies from his daughter. Bill and Emily have been great until the incident I am about to explain. I received a letter (no phone call, no email) indicating that they will no longer be my accountant. Having no idea why and very concerned, I called to discuss. I left a message. TWO days later I received a call from Susan "apathetic" Brunell. (referring to me as Dominck when my name is Dan)I inquired why this would be happening. Were they closing? My parents went to them. I have referred my kids, my girlfriend (my wife passed from cancer) and my girlfriends' kids. She told me that the reason I am being dropped is my check was bad last year. I told her that I had no idea. I said no one called me to explain, as surely, I would have rectified the issue immediately. She said they sent a letter and an email. I stated that I never received anything at all. I requested that she send me one of the emails so I could make sure it was sent to the correct email. SHE FLAT OUT REFUSED? She refused to engage in any type of discussion despite me explaining our history together. Gosh I thought we were like family. She was very callous and just kept repeating we will not be retaining you as "a client", really? She eventually hung up on me. ****And yes this is all over a $200 check that I had given them. I had used an old checking account check that was no longer active. Well, well enough said. I have been in customer service over my 40 year working career and supervise individuals who provide customer service daily. If they ever treated ANYONE in this fashion, they would be put on corrective action immediately and would be required to attend seminars on how to interact with customers. Susan, I have some excellent classes I could recommend. So, if you want to go to a mediocre tax individual that may have the WORST customer service, starting with Susan, then I have ever met, then you have come to the right place. Best of luck. Please note I have NEVER posted anything on YELP. Actually had to use my sons account. Sorry Connor

My wife and I worked with Robert on a very complicated case. Before hiring him, we consulted with…read moremultiple attorneys. Every one of them tried to persuade us to file a Ch 13 because they believed our income was too high for a Ch 7. Robert was the only attorney who carefully reviewed our situation and felt we had a strong case for Ch 7. We ultimately decided to hire Robert, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Robert's preparation was incredibly thorough. He paid attention to every detail and followed a very structured process. At times, I honestly thought he was asking for more documentation than necessary. I didn't understand why he needed so much paperwork--until the hearing. While waiting for our case to be called, we watched several other attorneys struggle because they weren't prepared. The magistrate repeatedly reprimanded attorneys for their lack of preparation, and many cases had to be continued. When my wife's name was finally called, I was nervous that we'd run into similar problems. Instead, thanks to Robert's preparation, every document was in order and every question was answered immediately. Our hearing went smoothly without a single issue. Our case was completed efficiently and without any resistance from the court. Seeing firsthand how other cases unfolded made us appreciate Robert's attention to detail, preparation, and deep knowledge of the law even more. If you're looking for an attorney who will thoroughly prepare your case and give you the best possible representation, I highly recommend Robert Kovacs. We were fortunate to find him.

In 2008, I received a letter from the IRS detailing that I owed taxes for the year 2006. My CPA failed to include one of the W4 for a withdrawal to my 401K. No problem hey if we owe we have to pay the amount, interest, penalties and fees. All he offered to do was waive his fee for the following year. In April 2010 I received another letter stating that I owe taxes for 2006 (state). My CPA revised the taxes in 2008 for the federal filing but failed to revise the state filing when in fact he should have revised both federal and state in 2008. I contacted him and to date I am still waiting to here from him. Even after speaking to his office manager/wife who by the way is the person who prepares the taxes along with some seasonal help he has not bothered to return my call. I made the decision to have my 2010 taxes prepared by another CPA. If your smart you will do the same. We hire a CPA and pay a hefty price for them to act in an unprofessional manner. I thought more of him as a professional, but I guess I made a big mistake.

Subsequently, after my wife's mother died, my wife found out that her mother, her mother's husband and Mr. Brekka had set up a will that cut off much of my wife's inheritance and left all joint assets with the husband's own daughter. While my wife's mother had ALS, and during the time of the writing of the will, she was not of sound mind. She was highly emotional and easily manipulated. I cannot fathom an attorney writing a will wherein one party is mentally incapacitated. I am surprised that the lack of balance in the legacies were not called in to question. There is nothing my wife can do about the unethical nature of her mother's husband. We just figured an educated attorney would question the intentions of man setting up a will when his wife was facing a certain and imminent death sentence. And now my wife has received a certified letter from Brekka and Brekka, on behalf of my wife's mother's husband, telling my wife the remaining items he has allowed her will be discarded soon if not collected. Sure, all this is legal, but ethical? I would steer way clear of this office.
