A firm that could manage partner tax filings, company tax filings, act as an advisor and help out with other accounting & tax related items. Lee Ann has been a tremendous help to bring the business current with taxes and has maintained current tax status for the past three years. She has also managed and filed our partner returns. As a small business owner I find value spending less time thinking about paying taxes and managing the books and more time focusing on our customers and growing our business. I've been working with Lee Ann for over four years now and I would highly recommend her as someone I know, like and trust.

The practice helped significantly during the tax year. But in setting up my small business, I didn't feel his lack of taking my work seriously warranted giving him my business again. Maybe in the future when I am better positioned. I just have a problem when ANY service professional dismisses one of the clients in a couple in favor of the other. His work was good and his staff IS WONDERFUL! Office is small and messy, but he's been around for a long time, and came recommended by a friend. All I can say is he was excellent. Great advice, knows his stuff, above board. He is a no BS kind of guy. I read another person's review that he seem to be a bit of a chauvinist. That was not my wife's experience, and she dealt with him on the business side of things much more than I. Jim can be a little blunt in his delivery, but that isn't a bad thing from a CPA who is there to tell you how things are, not just making up things you'd like to hear. Does it sound like he is talking down to you? No. Opinionated? Oh yeah - but sometimes where your money and livelihood are involved, it is good to have someone who is pushing you on things, and interested in you enough to give a damn. We found his fees reasonable, and his advice sound. That's what we want, and that's what we get with him.

I have reached out to 8 different insurance companies / insurance brokers and only 2 came close to being able to not only answer ALL my questions (1 insurance company direct and 1 broker agency, Markham Group), they both took their time to hear me out and get me answers if they didn't have it without making me feel like a thorn on their sides. Kathy Clark from Markham Group not only was able to do that but was also able to provide me all my insurance needs from one place with one person at the lowest cost! One stop shopping. I have called agencies that don't do that (even though you go through one company but you deal with different agents for the different products, or that you just assigned an agent by your last name and you are stuck with that person regardless if that person is available at the time you call or not). Very professional!
