Hwang's assistant called me in the office 15 minutes later and asked me a couple of questions and then the Dr.

I saw a PA-C for a standard skin cancer screening. I will note that I have not been to a screening in about 10 years. So, I guess things have changed. The last time I went - I put on a gown, laid down and the dr looked over my ENTIRE body, inch by inch, thoroughly. Took at least 20-30 minutes. This time, though, I did have a gown on, but I sat up and she asked if I had any spots I was concerned with, so I showed her. She said they were fine (mind you, I have a lot of general sunspots, but one on my back is totally black - like nothing else I have). Then she just skimmed over my arms, back, legs and sort of moved my hair around to check my scalp somehow. It was kind of ridiculous. Over $300 for a 10-minute scan? Not very comforting. And now my insurance won't pay for another one for a year, so I have to wait - guess it gives me time to find another one!

Very disappointing experience with Pinnacle Dermatology. I booked an appointment a month in advance…read moreafter being told they offered the treatment/service I needed. After waiting all that time and showing up to the appointment, they suddenly told me that this office does not even provide that service. It was a complete waste of my time. The whole experience felt very unprofessional and misleading. It honestly seemed like the appointment was scheduled just so they could bill the insurance rather than actually help the patient. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

She asked what type of insurance I had, i told her i had medicare she then said " I'm sorry but we can't see you because you have medicare" . I told her i know that's why i'll be paying out of pocket. She then said" I know but we still can't can see you because you have medicare and medicare people gets funding from the federal government and blah blah". This people will discriminate you only b/c of your social status. I wasn't even planning to use medicaid; my intentions were to pay everything out of pocket. I'm so glad i didn't give this people not a dime from my pockets. This was such an ugly experience for a potential new patient; I could only imagine being a patient there. Don't come to this practice, go somewhere else where you can be treated equally and with respect.

He was reviewing the single piece of paper that I filled out for my child. He then turned to me me and said "where does it hurt?" No where on the paper work did I mention pain. I said my child is here for two reason I listed on the paper. Bumps and red mark. He then pulled out a very scratched up $.99 plastic magnifier, stands about 12 inches away. Then pulls it away to look with his 80 year old something eyes. Says hmmm a bunch and tells me to "watch it!" "For what?" I said. "It could be some virus" he said, " don't worry" shakes my hand and out the door! And that was the appointment! A big waste of time and money!

I receive no responses from the nurses when you call, if they do respond it is days later. In one situation, my test results " got lost" and it took a month for them to find them. They never tried to contact me, I had to call and pitch a fit for weeks. The test results were critical to a medication dosage that I needed. When the practice was sold to the hospital it got even worse. If you can avoid it, go somewhere else!

In the past year I have been visiting her she has never so much as touched me or looked me in the eye. She has a demi-God complex and hates to be questioned about anything pertaining to my health. The entire time I am in her office she just looks at her computer and types. Has never so much looked in my throat if it was sore. Have to BEG for a referral. I had a sore on my face that I was concerned about and asked for a referral to the skin doctor she bulked about giving it to me, when it came back as cancer she was mad as hell at me because she was wrong. She has no compassion or bedside manner at all and treats me like I am a second rate citizen. Due to my insurance I am limited to the doctors I can see but trust me I am looking for a new one. If you are elderly and used to doctors who treat you like a human you will not like her. If you are a person who questions her she is going to hate you, and treat you like trash. Elderly people stay away from this doctor. The skin cancer on my face was removed thankfully, no thanks to her. I would still have it and probably would have died it I had not taken it into my own hands to have it removed. I will never forget going back to her after the surgery and having her throw my chart down on her desk when I told her it was cancer. If this is the future of medicine we are all doomed.
