Since he was fixing the window, the crack, and painting the ceiling, I asked for a quote to paint 2 of the rooms downstairs and install baseboards in my kitchen. I thought the estimate was reasonable (painting ceilings is not easy). The work was done in 3 days by one person. He took his time, cleaned up behind himself, and did a wonderful job. Honestly, the baseboards he installed in the kitchen were done neater than the ones in the living room installed by a flooring company. I would definitely reach out to this company when I need something done in my home.

Since I'm not familiar with painting or wall repair, I asked my boyfriend--who has 25 years of construction experience--to speak with him about the scope and cost. My boyfriend, who is currently stationed overseas, was able to negotiate the price down to $1,800. Bill claimed that $600 of that was just for materials. Given that cost, I expected the walls to be properly prepped, primed with drywall primer, and imperfections repaired. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. While I appreciate that his team removed the old shelving, they left the hose mount on the wall and got paint on the door frame. They also failed to leave me the extra paint I had paid for, which I needed to address missed spots and repairs. I reached out to Bill via text three times. He initially said he would bring the extra paint but then stopped responding. I ultimately had to take a piece of damaged wall to Sherwin-Williams to get a color match and fix it myself. To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns and asked him to speak with my boyfriend directly, he was dismissive and unprofessional. I've since had other painters look at the job, and they agreed I was overcharged for the quality of work delivered. Lesson learned: If you decide to hire this company, make sure you're either knowledgeable about painting or have someone experienced with you to avoid being taken advantage of--especially when it comes to labor and material costs.

Bill, the owner is an extremely experienced roofer who knows his stuff when it comes to insurance jobs. There are some sketchy companies from out of town (and some local) that will over promise and under deliver. Using a company where the owners/management actually have hands-on roofing experience is so crucial when it comes to your home. We could not be more thrilled with what a difference getting our roof redone has made to the appearance of our house. We got to choose any color we wanted at no additional cost making this feel like a true home makeover. I called David to ask if he might have the time to stop by our home to give an estimate for a mysterious leak in the ceiling of our front porch. Although he had worked all day at another location, he made the time to stop by our home in the early evening. I thought that he would give a quick look and be gone (as another carpenter had done). However, I was mistaken. He went to his truck to get his ladder and climbed up to look at the outside of the porch roof ~ and found a hole in the roof!! Apparently, a branch must have created the hole in a recent heavy storm. He told us his findings, and, because there was a call for rain in the next few days, he offered to go get the supplies to quickly patch the hole with some new shingles and tar. I was amazed that he would make such an offer after he had worked over 10 hours at another location during the day. The next thing I knew ~ off David went to get the supplies and a little an hour later all was right as rain. Now I can rest easily knowing that the hole is patched until we can get David to come back to replace the porch roof. After scheduling, the scheduling manager continued to contact me numerous times, prior to our meeting, to confirm my availability, in which I double checked all the pieces above. Never was I told to allow for a 30minute window, so imagine my frustration when I blocked off an hour for work 2:00-3:00pm, and the guy showed up at 2:30pm, upset with me because I needed to end at 3:00pm. The estimate went quickly. I tried to cover everything we wanted, allowing time for him to take measurements, draw schematics, and have time for follow-up questions, but it felt disconnected and rushed. I was told we would schedule a follow-up Zoom appointment to walk through everything- I scheduled a time period with the scheduling manager, again blocking off work- only to have them call 20mins before the appointment and cancel on us because they weren't ready with information. Then I waited days for them to call back to re-schedule the appointment, but never got contacted. Overall, it wasn't a good relationship. We didn't feel cared for or considered as new clients, so we removed them as a possible vendor.

I informed the lender of my satisfaction expecting great customer service and that this issue would be satisfied and in a decent timeframe. To date there has been no action taken and my texts are now going unanswered. There is also issues with the lock. If I knew the follow up would be this way, I never would have approved the lender to remit payment without having these issues fixed. I'm providing text correspondences that show the lack of communication and genuine concern with resolving what was a minor issue. I have been getting the run around and now nothing for more than a month".

In terms of overall satisfaction, I rate them the highest for any contracting service for my home that I have used. A friend of mine has used him for his current and previous homes roofing. First, they are low pressure, helpful, and thorough. They took care of a problem on my old roof four years ago by writing a letter to my insurance company that I had no structural problems with my old roof it was just algae making my roof look like it had depressed some areas form the air in need of repair. They did not charge me for this so when it was time to re-roof my house they had built a lot of good will. In August, Robert Hamel, the owner, inspected my current roof, and attic explained my options well including improving the poor ventilation in my soffits. He also inspected my gutters for wear and proper slope. Second, they are a small local business that has been in business since at least the early 80s so you get personalized service. Bradley Company is not an out of the area company that hires a lot of temporary people when they get busy that may not be as good as their regular workers. The foreman on the job Tony has worked with Robert for years. You have much confidence that they will be around in the long-run and that their business and customer base is local. Third, best price and warranty. I got estimates from five roofers and they were the best both in terms of price and installation quality. Robert Hamel is a four star shingle master roofer and he gave me a 15 year workmanship warranty on my CertainTeed roof. No other offer that I received included a 15 year workmanship warranty. I checked with the Maryland home improvement commission and they have not had a complaint since 2005. The record of no complaints for 12 years with excellent personal attention, pricing, and workmanship shows me an exemplary record of customer satisfaction. A great company to do business with. My new roof looks very nice.
