I'm sure that he's a very competent and efficient dentist. No complaints there. The bedside…read moremanner, however, is lacking. Here are some rules of thumb that they might not have taught at dental school: 1) After a procedure is done, many patients are accustomed to the courtesy of being offered a mirror to view the work and perhaps even ask questions. Giving a mirror to a patient is not a strange or unusual thing to do. 2) When discussing unusually invasive/intensive/dramatic/traumatic procedures -- oral-surgery type procedures -- it's considered polite not to speak of them in a laughing or jocular manner. Patients like to imagine that their dentist is at least simulating empathy with the experience of having one's mouth/jaw cut open. It is actually a big deal so please try to pretend to treat it as such. 3) When a patient asks a question about a procedure, it is considered courteous to offer more than one-word or one-phrase answers, and to at least pretend to have an interest in answering the question and dealing with the patient's questions or concerns. In today's busy world, many patients feel entitled to be made aware of decisions and procedures regarding their care. It is not considered burdensome or out of line to communicate information about these topics, politely and efficiently, to the patient. Bottom line: being a dentist is about more than performing dental work. It entails minimal competency at verbal and non-verbal communication. Unfortunately that may not be what certain dentists consider to be part of their job.

Dr. Hofmann is a very skilled dentist who has treated me excellently through the last few years. I first came to him for a second opinion when I had been told by another dentist that I needed a crown. Dr. Hofmann explained to me that a crown was the "easy" fix , but in fact the tooth could be preserved for at least the time being. That was almost 6 years ago and my tooth has done great. His conservative approach not only shows his integrity, but also saved me money and preserved my tooth. Dr. Hofmann has also done several mission trips to underprivileged countries to donate his services of dental care to the needy. He is a man of faith and will talk the Bible with you while working on you if you like, but also respects if that is not what you want. His office is not modern by any means and some areas have some clutter but I have never worried about cleanliness problems or about anything not being sterile. He is a man of integrity and a professional and I trust that. I will take his skills and perfectionism any time I need dental work!

My father-in-law is also a dentist, so we really appreciate the good decisions and excellent care we've received here. When my FIL sold his own dental practice about 25 years ago, we had such a hard time in those first few years trying to find a dentist we could trust. Dr. Bridgeman has been wonderful! He is more than fair in his billing, and the entire staff helps us get our girls' schedules worked out now that they're in college out of state. Although we really do take good care of our teeth (daily brushing and flossing), my youngest and I have significant dental challenges due to the fact that we have Celiac disease. (i.e. low enamel, grinding at night, extreme tooth sensitivity, etc.). Dr. Brett is excellent, compassionate, and he goes out of his way to help us stay within our budget, to help us prioritize treatments, and to help us with all the extra challenges we face as Celiac patients, etc. A bad dentist can cause many problems, as my sister can attest to. She wasn't so lucky with her search for a new dentist. Don't mess around. Get a good dentist that's honest, works hard, cares about his patients, and knows what he's doing. Dr. Bridgeman is that kind of dentist! His staff is really wonderful, too! A few tips from my FIL who owned a dental practice for many years in another state: always arrive on time for appointments, pay up front, and treat your dentist with respect. Arriving late, refusing to pay, and treating your dentist with contempt and lack of trust won't work in your favor with ANY dentist.

You have been warned. These dentists are crooks…read more Myself and my entire family were great patients of these 2 brothers. They are never really pleasant but I didn't have any big issues until recently. I chipped a tooth on a glass while at dinner and came to them to get it fixed. It was poorly done and chipped off again 3 more times within a month. They verbally guaranteed their work for up to a year, ie, to fix it for no charge. On my last visit Brett was in a foul mood and seemed irritated to see me again. Just so we are clear- I am not a clencher, or grinder, nor was I careless with my teeth. I don't think ANYONE wants to see the dentist more than necessary so I took very good care of my tooth and its constant chipping was not my fault. I was making my way out and the receptionist stopped me. I told her this was another redo and she insisted that I pay! I tried to explain the guarantee giving to me and she tried to tell me that it only covered 2 visits! This was NEVER disclosed to me and I was NOT happy. I asked her to get doctor B and she went around the corner and told me that he was busy. I told her I wasn't paying. She went around the corner and came back with him (aparently he wasnt too busy to get his money!) and he said "whats the problem here?" I explained the situation and reminded him of what he said and he told me that he was "sick and tired" of having to repair my tooth and demanded I pay! This was in front of the entire staff and I was almost in tears. I am still kicking myself for shelling out another $200 to these crooks- I guess they tried to intimidate me and it worked. I am going to report them to the BBB and now NO ONE in my family will EVER step foot in their office again. You may have won $200 in the short run, but your bad business practices are going to cost you THOUSANDS when I am done.

Upon relocating to Dallas finding a new dentist was one of the many things I needed to do. And finding a great dentist was more challenging than I thought it would be. Thankfully I was able to go to my Yelp app and conduct my search. A BIG thank you to Nicole J. Upon coming across her initial review for Dr. Yeary I PM'ed her to gather more information. She promptly responded and the next thing I knew I was in the chair at Dr. Yeary's. Upon my first visit I knew I was in the correct place. Talk about rolling out the red carpet...the greeting I received upon arriving was both warm and professional. Instead of handing me some forms to complete, I was seated and asked a series of questions and the next thing I knew I was reviewing the 'new patient forms' and signing. I don't know about you but I am not a fan of completing those new patient forms. This approach made this part of the process so much more enjoyable. Next was the actually appointment in the dental chair. Dr. Yeary has state of the art equipment. As someone who enjoys technology I truly appreciate the setup here. From viewing X-rays on an overhead monitor to the cleaning tools, it all contributed to a great experience. Also, when the monitor is not in use for viewing X-rays, etc, the staff will gladly put it on a TV channel of choice. How cool is it to catch up on sports (ESPN) while having your teeth cleaned? And the comfortable dental chair made feel like I was at home in a recliner. Since my initial visit I've returned a couple of times and the level of warm professional service has been consistent. On one occasion I had a tooth fixed and the entire process was painless. And to top that off, later that evening I rececived a follow up call to see how I was doing. And guess who made the call? Dr. Yeary himself. I could not think of the last time I'd received a follow up call from my dentist (or doctor). Usually it's someone on staff who performs the follow up call. As we were heading into the weekend, Dr. Yeary made it clear that if I had any issues to call and he would get back to me immediately. When is the last time you had a dentist/doctor encouraging you to interrupt their weekend if required? I don't think I've had that occur. Lastly, I truly appreciate that Dr. Yeary looks to solve issues the most cost effective way. As we all know, dental work is expensive. It's good to work with a dentist who is looking to correct the problem the most cost effective way. And I appreciate that Dr. Yeary looks at a longer term fix, not just something to get through for a 12-18 months. I am very pleased that I found Dr. Yeary and his team. They are definitely a 5 star team.

Due to insurance issues, I decided to face the fire and get it done. I had always imagined there would be incredible pain, both during and for days after. Having known many people who looked like chipmunks for days following their extractions, I didn't want anything to do with it. I was wrong. First off, Dr. Joe is an amazing dentist. I had no pain during the procedure, and I am serious about this. I had no pain during the shots - they did such a good job of deadening the areas, and it was effective. I had no pain during the extraction and so little discomfort after that it was truly amazing. I only took pain meds for one day after, and only as a precautionary measure. I also thought because of my age, I would be entered into another level of pain and lengthy healing - wrong again. The worst part of it was no coffee or carbonated liquids for a couple of days and being relegated to soft food. They did, however, encourage ice cream, so I purchased a couple of pints for medicinal purposes. Dr. Joe is the guy to see if you are putting off having a tooth pulled of any kind.
