I had an extremely disappointing experience with this provider…read more I first saw him in January 2026 after my medial foot pain, which I had been dealing with for nearly two years, flared up again. I had a total of five appointments between January and May and every visit felt extremely rushed. I felt like I had only a minute or two to explain my symptoms because there were so many patients scheduled before, during and after me. At my first appointment, I was prescribed a compounded topical cream that cost $85 through a boutique pharmacy and wasn't covered by insurance. Throughout my treatment, the provider repeatedly recommended stem cell/PRP injections, which cost thousands of dollars and also aren't covered by insurance, despite never performing a thorough hands-on examination of my foot. During one visit, he had a student shadowing him and asked her opinion on my diagnosis before either of them had physically examined my foot. After an MRI showed a chronic ATFL sprain, the provider began discussing surgery for this, which is on the lateral (outside) of the foot, even though my pain and issues had always been on the medial (inside) of my foot. Because I was desperate for relief, I agreed to try custom orthotics but they were designed to address the ATFL findings rather than my ongoing medial pain and suspected flatfoot/posterior tibial tendon dysfunction. They provided no relief. This final appointment to pick up the orthotics was my breaking point. Once again, stem cell/PRP injections were recommended and as the provider had one foot out the door, he said "You'll be okay, Mommy and Daddy can pay for it." I was shocked. As a young woman who fully supports herself and had already spent roughly $700 at this practice, in addition to thousands of dollars seeking answers elsewhere, I found the comment incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful and dismissive. After this experience, I sought a second opinion from an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon. He performed a comprehensive evaluation and confirmed that my pain was coming from the medial side of my foot due to ligament tear, validating the concerns I had expressed all along. I recently had the procedure done to repair the ligament and am very happy with the care I received elsewhere. Based on my experience, I absolutely do not recommend this provider. The bedside manner and ego of this provider was horrible. I felt rushed, unheard and repeatedly steered toward expensive treatments that were not covered by insurance, while the actual source of my pain went unaddressed.

This review is about Dr. Alnajjar. I was a patient of his a year ago when he was at a different…read morelocation on 1245 Wilshire Blvd. Dr. Alnajjar can be very rude and he has an attitude that does not behoove him. Given that he works with people who have broken bones and may need surgery, he really should be less self centered and more compassionate. He should also be sensitive to the fact that many of us wait patiently in his waiting room for several hours until we finally see him. During my first appointment with Dr. Alnanjjar, I initially thought I was in good hands. My view of him later changed because of his beside manner. The short of my experience is that I had a broken hand and my finger was severed. I was rushed to the emergency room. The attendant in the emergency room sewed my finger back on and put me in a temporary cast. I was then referred to Dr. Alnajjar for follow up. Dr. Alnajjar initially told me that I only had to be in a cast for 3 weeks. Accordingly we scheduled a follow up appointment 3 weeks out to get the cast removed. Two weeks later, i.e., one week before my scheduled visit to remove the cast, his office called and told me that I would have to wait another week for the cast to be removed because the doctor was going on vacation. I asked if I could see another doctor in the office. I was told that Dr. Alnanjjar was the only hand specialist in the office. I asked the staff person to please have the doctor call me. When the doctor called me back, he was very abrupt and kept talking over me. He would not let me get a word in edgewise. He told me that he does not create his patients problems. That he just fixes their problems. He even asked me if I made money this way. He was referring to the fact that I was trying to talk to him. It was clear that he was annoyed that I requested a call from him, and that he did not want to be bothered. He also mentioned the trip he planned to Panama. I simply wanted to ask him if the medical assistant in his office could remove the cast in his absence. When he finally stopped badgering me and listened to my question, and to my description of my healing process, he agreed that the cast could be removed by his medical assistant. He also agreed that I was healing well and that I did not need to wear the cast for an additional week while he was out of town. However, it must be empathized that I had to struggle to get this doctor to let me speak. Had he listened in the first instance, our call would have been much shorter. For those of you who have ever been in a cast, an extra week of wearing a cast feels like a long time. Particularly when it is not medically necessary. I was looking forward to having my cast removed after 3 weeks. I did not think I should have to wear it for another week, and continue to miss out on work, because the good doctor was going on vacation. He should have planned to have another doctor cover for him while he was out of town. The good doctor must have said something negative about me to his staff. After that phone call, his staff was very rude to me. That created more stress when I trying to heal. Also, as stated above, each time I went to his office, I had to wait over two hours to be seen. I am self employed and did not have insurance to cover an unexpected accident that would keep me out of work for 3 weeks. The good doctor could have been more sensitive to that as well. It should also be noted that after my cast was removed, I asked the doctor to take an X-ray to make sure my hand healed properly. He agreed. I believe that is something he should have thought of without suggestion from me.

I had run a marathon a few months back and my big toenail stopped growing. By just looking at it, he knew that it was a bone spur. Within weeks I had surgery, and I was back on my feet the next day. The process was smooth and seamless. Dr Joseph and his assistant, Joshua, went above and beyond to make sure I was fully taken care of throughout the entire process. At my follow-up, Dr. Joseph noticed my ankle was wobbly and suggest if we take a closer look. The MRI revealed three torn ligaments, four stretched ligaments, a partially torn Achilles, two bursitises, and inflammation throughout the ankle. I knew my ankle had gone through some wear and tear after years of running cross country and track, but I had no idea it was so bad. Dr Joseph treated everything. I spent one week off my foot, the next in a boot, and was running again within six weeks. He worked with my schedule, was reachable by phone throughout, and took time to help me understand everything as it came up. I'm really grateful for Dr Joseph for fixing my ankle and toe. Parking is available in the building for about $10. They do not validate. While lecturing about a year ago my two toes on my right foot went numb following long days both teaching and in the airport. I immediately moved to flat shoes (boo hiss! Love great heels!) and after about four months the numbness dissipated. But I wanted to see a specialist and make sure that I hadn't broken anything, there was no cyst in my foot, and there wasn't actually permanent nerve damage. Dr. Chen properly evaluated me, did a gate assessment of my walk and gave me some great education about how to manage my foot pain. She also evaluated an issue I was having with pressure on one of my toes and closed-toed shoes and gave me a simple over-the-counter solution to help correct the problem. I still need to monitor how my progress goes, but I greatly appreciate Dr. Chen's thoroughness and not sending me for a zillion injections or unnecessary tests. Also, since she's a woman, I really felt like she understood my desire for some fashion control of my wardrobe without judging me or just simply telling me to wear flat wide shoes all the time. I had a minor gash on the top of my left foot due to a collision with an industrial dolly. There was blood and my boss insisted on going to the ER. Since, my injury was not life threatening I thought of another alternative from the ER(Which would take hours and hours of waiting.) I looked for the closest Podiatry clinic and chose to go to Dr. Corpuz. He was kind enough to take me in during lunch hours and the staff was so patient and friendly. I felt bad to interrupt meal time but they made me feel at ease. The office was very clean and tidy. After checking out my gash and taking an x-ray. Dr. Corpuz gave me 2 stitches and I was on my way! My boss was surprised how fast we were in and out. His previous waits with other work injuries at the ER took 4-6 hours. I forgot to add it was my first time getting stitches and I was very nervous. Dr. Corpuz made me feel comfortable and he made sure to talk me through the steps he was taking. Instead of giving me multiple numbing shots around the gash, he was able to gracefully do it all in one go. I barely felt a thing. Then before I knew it the 2 stitches were put in and we were done. Dr. Corpuz personally followed up with me to make sure I was doing ok the next day. After a few weeks I popped in, got the stitches taken out and that was that!
