Nearly all of the gourmet food products have been removed, so this absolutely is not a place to go food shopping as there are far better places in Rome to shop for excellent cheese and meats. It is an absolute shame that this wonderful shop has been ruined. All the wonderful employees are gone. What were they thinking??? People from all over Rome and the world used to come here for the most prized food products from around Italy. Now, there is essentially no reason to come here. Shame!!!!

They are serving excellent cappuccinos and Insalata mista (mixed greens salad drizzled with olive oil, topped with baby tomatoes and mozzarella), grilled cold antipasti of eggplant, zucchini, red bell peppers. Fresh natural foods and a glass of white. Yes, white! Goes perfectly with your salad, it's light and crisp. They have a selection of good wines here. Later in the day, like most cafes in Italy, they serve aperitivo or a buffet, which is not a buffet at all - it's a light app and wine combo at a preset price, €10 in this case. You never know what you gonna get though! It's like being served at someone's home, just throw together a plate. That's what they do. Small and elegant place. I ended up drinking some souvenirs before leaving so had to go back to replace them. My second visit the woman running the shop showed me many of the items that come directly from her Father in southern Italy. yes limoncello is great but there are so many other flavors you can try too. I was partial to the creme. I also picked up some jelly and a small jar of cacio e pepe which was fantastic. This is a small storefront so be aware you might have to use Google to find it but well worth the effort !
