Chicken Joojeh Platter

Perfection on a plate. I love RICE and I love this location, they always get my order right and the food tastes delicious! Keeps me coming back and back again. Staff is friendly, the restaurant has plenty of seating and is clean. Order at the counter and they bring you your food when it's ready, food always comes out quick too!

Heads up -- parking is in a small shared lot down a back street, so spaces can be limited. Inside, the restaurant is bright, clean, and offers plenty of seating. Service was fast and friendly, and our to-go order came in a sturdy reusable bag that kept everything warm. I ordered the Slow Cooked Chicken platter and my husband had the Spicy Roasted Chicken platter -- both were delicious! I also tried the vegetable soup, which was equally tasty. Highly recommend this spot, and I'll definitely be back.

Always one of my favorite bowls to order when im in a rush or when im having a movie night and want a healthy comfort food. I always get the build your own bowl and usually get the brisket and the spicy chicken. For a base i usually get the greens and lentils. their toppings are the BEST part. I get the spicy hummus, the feta hummus (my favorite), and the tzatziki. I add olives, feta, cucumber, banana peppers, tomato, and the spicy sumac sauce on top!! huge portion and delicious

Really good Fast food - chipotle-ish restaurant. The hummus was great! I would go back!

Came back here for a quick meal and it was wonderful. If you're looking for a distinct bowl with a ton of vegetable, toppings and protein options, rice Mediterranean kitchen is the place for you. The portions are very generous and the service is friendly. You can have a healthy Persian bowl while listening to Persian music. Decided to try a completely new bowl and it was fantastic.

The food was very fresh and the staff was extremely welcoming! I enjoyed how clean the environment was and how the staff made sure we had everything we needed. A place you can enjoy a nice meal and still feel healthy! 10/10

*Disclaimer I have made this review solely as someone who orders takeout* Rice Mediterranean is such a hidden gem! They have several locations but my home store is the one located in South Miami. I can say that this place really hits the spot! I typically opt for the Chicken platter and it doesn't miss! Not once! The chicken is nicely flavored and has a slight citrus taste to it (which I always love). The rice is always cooked well. And I love how they offer the sauces and dressing for the salad. And they give you nice portions! Only grievance I could possibly think of is having a bit more pita bread to be portioned out with the amount of hummus we get. Presentation is alwayssss there and as far as service is involved although I cannot speak about quality of customer service as I've only ever ordered delivery I can say they NEVER mess up my order! They also give plenty of sauce and utensils. Food is always of quality no matter what location I have ordered from which is so rare! Definitely 100% recommend.

Delicious food with a good portion to feed an empty stomach. I had a chance to visit this place during the week since I was in the area. Parking wasn't too bad, there are some spots available in front of the business and also there is a parking meter option in case there are none available. Immediately was assisted when you walk in, and created a bowl of my own. Service was fast and recommendations were made. You can either pick a meal that already comes with everything or you can make your own bowl. Great location as far as seating goes, lots of tables and chairs. Pricing is about $15, and that's at the moment. So, if you're planning on having a family meal with about 4-5 people, the cost will add up. But it's worth it in my opinion, you just have to be in the mood for it. Definitely will come back.

Chicken Kabob Plate

I generally liked my experience at this place. The restaurant is modern, nicely designed, and very clean. The menu isn't big, but offers a variety of options. I decided to try the Chicken Kabob Plate, which includes chicken (all white meat), white rice, Greek salad, a slice of pita bread, a scoop of hummus, and some sauces on the side. I was able to modify the Greek salad by removing some vegetables, which was a plus for me, and I liked the result. The salad was very nice, and all the vegetables and feta cheese were fresh. However, the slice of pita bread was too small and a bit dry. The rice was also a little dry; I expected it to be softer and more flavorful, especially with the restaurant's name focusing on rice. But the chicken kabob was super tasty and delicious! I also liked the sauces; they gave the chicken a nice flavor. I paid $15.99 for this meal, and I think this price is fair because the plate was large and filled with food. I couldn't finish all the rice even though it was my first meal of the day and I was very hungry. So, keep in mind the size of the Chicken Kabob Plate and don't order extra food to avoid wasting it. A small bottle of sparkling mineral water cost $2.99. Unfortunately, the beverage options at the restaurant were very limited, and they should add more soft drinks to the menu. The guy who took my order was very nice, sweet, and helpful with advice about the food. The service was fast; I got my food about 8 minutes after ordering, but I must point out that the restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived. The restaurant's location is great, just across the street from the South Miami Metro Station and a few blocks from Sunset Place Shopping Mall. My first experience at this restaurant was smooth and mostly pleasant, so I'm sure I will come back soon to try something different from the menu.

A bug

Finding a huge bug in your food is an experience i never would've thought i had in my life very disgusted.

Excellent food! I've wanted to visit Rice for a long time. I went on the recommendation of my Dr. I ordered a bowl with beluga black lentils and lettuce. I added raw carrots, cucumber, cabbage, and tomatoes, a shredded chicken, three different "dips"; hummus, a charred carrot tahini, and a honey nut feta. I also added some avocado, feta, and roasted vegetables. Then I topped it with some tahini and sumac sauce. It was so fresh and delicious! I got a side of the whole wheat pita chips. Altogether my meal was $20. They also have outdoor seating, which I like. So healthy and reasonably priced! I'll definitely be back again soon!

I love the Chicken Joojeh Platter! I actually crave it! The chicken is perfectly cooked and the sumac sauce is fire!! Love it! The basmati rice, the hummus and the salad are really good too! Today when I went to pick up, I saw that they now have Persian ice cream sandwiches! I checked the online menu but they aren't on there yet. I have to try one next time. They looked delicious!

The quality of the food is truly unmatched. The koobideh platter or chicken joojeh platter are typically my first pick; with a side of their salad, rice and sumac sauce, simply made to perfection. You can tell the owners have poured their heart into the business, because the food and the service speak for themselves. Another plus? The pricing. It's so reasonable, I wish more restaurants used great ingredients without charging you an arm and a leg. Absolutely love this spot. If you're thinking of trying it out... consider this your sign.

OK experience eating a ground meat kabob close to our motel…read more Shahs' of Kabob started in 2017, and has expanded to ten locations. It serves halal Persian cuisine in a fast casual environment. This location in South Miami is quite small, with only seating for 10 or so people. One thing we noticed right away was the delicious smell coming from the indoor grill...pretty much told you that the roasted meats were going to be good. I wasn't too hungry so ordered the small plate of Koobideh ($15). The cashier was nonchalant when asked about what to recommend. Once ready, it was brought over to our table. It came with a large mound of saffron rice, which was quite good. A better choice would have been half and half of a small salad with the rice. The koobideh was very similar (even exactly the same to my untrained palate) to a Turkish adana kebab or an Arabic kefta...made with a combination of beef and lamb ground meat, made flatter vs round. It was warmed/cooked over a grill and had that nice char taste that one gets from grilling. I didn't notice there were condiments in ketchup/mustard squeeze bottles until too late...it gives the place a kind of hot dog joint feel which I don't think was the intention.

Service was friendly, attentive, and helpful with recommendations on the menu. It appears they used to have a buffet but no longer and that is sad. It was also unfortunate that the one dish we were hoping to try, tahdig, they were out of. The grape leaves were standard good. The "bread" basket they put on the table seemed never ending. It was just layers and layer of thin tasty bread/pita type. I was torn between two of the stews and asked which the waiter recommended. Without hesitation he said the ghormeh sabzi, so that is what I ordered. It did not disappoint. I couldn't exact describe or compare it to something else, but here's what it says on the menu: Traditional Vegetable Stew Made with Fresh Chopped Parsley, Cilantro, Chives, Fenurgreek and Chunks of Beef and seasoned with a blend of Dried Persian Limes It was different and tasty and definitely something I would order again. The chicken kabobs were juicy and plump and flavorful in a very simple way. They have a small store attached through a door in the restaurant where you can find many Persian food, spices, teas, coffees, and treats. Looking forward to coming back to this restaurant.
