I am so happy I did a boudoir shoot and chose to do it with Ricardo and his team. I did it as a surprise gift for my fiancé on our wedding day (have yet to give it to him...4 days!) but I know he is going to love it! Ricardo himself is awesome. He makes you feel completely comfortable and is very professional but in a fun way. So is his staff. I loved Luna! I felt like I had new best friends by the time the shoot was over. You can tell that he truly cares about his work and so does his team. The pictures are awesome and perhaps in a few years I will do it again! The makeup artist Nivek did a wonderful job (although I wish he showed up on time) and the makeup was perfect for the photos. You should plan to spend A LOT of time there. This isn't some studio that rushes you in and rushes you out. They are dedicated to you while you are there and aren't concerned with it taking longer than expected. And we had FUN! I was there for so long because Ricardo wanted to make sure he took all the right and different shots that by the end I was exhausted....so he drove me home and wouldn't let me take the subway. My one recommendation is to be in constant communication with Ricardo about timing needs etc. We kinda missed the date I had given him that I requested the book for but instead of acting like it wasn't a big deal, he worked ALL night (I got emails from him at 3AM) to make sure the book was done. When I told him that morning there was something I wanted to change, he had it changed and still ended up getting it to me on time. I highly recommend Ricardo and his crew. I found Ricardo through the many rave reviews left here and decided to book through a livingsocial deal. Let me just say he did not disappoint. First off Remi. She's a gem and Ricardo is lucky to have her. Her personality made it easy for me to relax a little and enjoy the alcoholic punch she made. We had a nice conversation while she was doing my hair and makeup. She made me feel quite at ease and somewhat forgot what I was getting dolled up for. After a good hour or so my face was beat and my hair was on point. I didn't even recognize myself. I was very nervous and reserved which definitely showed in my beginning pictures. However Ricardo talked to me and assured me it was okay to let loose and let my guard down. He made me feel there was nothing to fear. He was very helpful with the poses and direction of the shoot. I did start to feel like it was a bit annoying that he had to do some much directing but he never let on that he was annoyed, if he even was. That was just my own insecurity. And I'm beyond grateful he didn't become frustrated with me. We went through all the looks I brought and used a few of his props. I absolutely loved that during it all he did his best to make light fun of the photo shoot. He gave off this homeboyish persona which I liked. Honestly I cannot describe the feeling of seeing myself after the shoot. I looked HOT. Ricardo's commentary was much funnier and if he reads this he knows what I mean. I loved the looks. I love taking pictures of myself but I can't capture myself in every angle but Ricardo surely did. I have never done a boudoir photo shoot before so naturally, I was nervous but Ricardo helped me to loosen up and relax. Once, I did...we were on a roll! I was working it and posing with confidence. I was able to change as many times as I wanted, plus he took his time in positioning me correctly to capture great shots I can't stop looking at my photo because my photos are sexy but still classy. Ricardo is amazing! I booked a Lifebooker for a Boudoir photoshoot and was hoping to get it done in time for Christmas; Ricardo was incredibly accommodating and scheduled my shoot for the next day! When I arrived, his assistant let me in right on time. The studio was cute and clean. The stylist, Bianca (I think), was so nice and really made me feel relaxed. We put some music on and she worked on my hair and makeup for a little over an hour, and both turned out great! She even fixed a few things about my makeup that I felt weren't quite me, even though I felt bad asking since she spent so much time on it. Ricardo arrived just a few minutes before my hair was done, and he asked me questions to get an idea for what I wanted. We went through some pictures to choose sets and poses, and he went over the wardrobe choices I brought and even helped to style some of my outfits. He made me feel comfortable right away (handed me a glass of wine, which definitely helped)! He obviously knows what he is doing; he helped me learn how to pose and make the right faces. The shoot lasted about 3 hours! But we got some amazing shots, and Ricardo was very concerned with me being happy and fulfilled with my results. After the shoot, Ricardo was very responsive via email and sent me previews of what some of my shots would look like. He quickly got my edits done and sent them to be printed... in time for the holidays! I haven't seen them yet, but from the previews he has sent me, I'm sure they'll be wonderful. i just finished my shoot with ricardo this evening. first off, he is very professional- he sent out an email the week of and also 40 minutes before showtime reminding the crew to be on time. I had no problem getting to the studio and once there was sooo comfortable. bianca did my makeup- i am not someone who wears much makeup and asked for a smoky eye and nude lip and voluminous hair. the results were absolutely astounding! i was worried it was too much makeup but she assured me that it was neccessary for the camera lighting and she was so spot on. Ricardo made me feel completely comfortable. He makes you work! but the results are phenomenal. I can honestly say those are the most beautiful pictures i have ever seen of myself- and thats even before photoshop! He really knows how to bring the best out of you- you dont just come to the studio and sit there and smile - he forces you to come out of your shell. Just left my shoot with Ricardo and had the most wonderful experience. Would absolutely recommend him and the makeup artist who did my makeup there. I've played with the idea of doing a shoot for a while and had been casually looking for the right photographer for years. I called off the search when I came across Ricardo's website. I thought it would be a great present for my boyfriend this year to have some boudoir photos taken. After doing extensive research I realized it is a very expensive present to give! I booked a boudoir session with Ricardo through Lifebooker to take pictures as a birthday present for my husband. As soon as I got to the studio, Ricardo offered me a glass of sparkling wine (which was great to help ease my nerves) and a make-up artist got to work on my face and hair. Another girl was getting boudoir pictures taken at the time, and it was actually nice to see that happen so I had an idea of what I would need to do. Once I was ready (the hair and makeup were great! I got fake eyelashes and all that, very dramatic but perfect for the pictures) Ricardo started with some easy pictures to get me warmed up. He was very fun, energetic and professional, giving me tips on how not to look into the camera, how to position my face, etc. I had a blast posing - and at times rolling around on the floor - in different outfits, moving from demure to more risque as we went on. There were a few times I forgot Ricardo was even there taking pictures. After the shoot, Ricardo and I looked through all of the images and talked about which ones I liked more or less. I loved that he has a signature style but that he was still very willing to be accommodating in order to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He then sent me all of the digital files and I picked out my favorites to be photo-shopped and put in a book for my husband. I didn't know exactly which of my favorites he would choose for the final product, so I was very excited to pick up the book when it was ready. It exceeded all of my expectations and was the perfect balance of sexy and sophisticated. Not sure where to start - was searching like crazy for a good boudoir photographer, found him on groupon and then did a ton of research his reviews were amazing, but I was hesitant given it was groupon and only an hour shoot. Well let me tell you ladies if you are looking for a pick me up or looking to put together a book for your bea for your wedding day - you have found the right place. Ricardo is amazing. He's hilarious, great at direction and really works with your energy. My 1 hour shoot turned into 6 hours later releasing my inner animal and coming out with some KILLEr photos. To back up a step he has the most AMAZING makeup artist for you when you go to your shoot. She spent a full hour making me look insanely beautiful - I am SUPER picky about makeup and she just KILLEd it. Honest to god I considered firing the makeup company I hired for my wedding day. I have never in my life looked better. I am obviously buying a book off of him, because that was my plan all along - to surprise my boo thang on our wedding day with an amazing artistic book of my look sexy AF. If I could've hired him for my wedding, I would've. He really knows what to look for in a shot. I felt comfortable, I was naked in seconds, without being told what to put on, take off. Saw a deal on living social for a boudoir shoot, read some reviews and decided to give this a shot! I was def skeptical at first of course, seeing as I've never done anything like this before. I wanted to surprise my fiancé with something a little different, and boy will he be surprised! From the moment I walked in, Ricardo and his staff were very welcoming. I got my make up done by the artist whom he had on staff, which was absolutely amazing. Upon doing so, Ricardo and his assistant helped me pick out some outfits for the shoot, I was also offered some champagne to help loosen me up, as I was extremely nervous. He put on some music of my choice therefore I'd be a little more relaxed. From there on it was amazing! We shot a ton of photos, we laughed, joked around, and made sure to have a good time with it. I viewed the photos and went with purchasing a book, which I picked up today! It is absolutely phenomenal and I cannot wait to give this to my fiancé on our wedding day. If you've never done a boudoir photo shoot before, Ricardo is a great place to start! He's professional, and really makes you feel comfortable and sexy in front of the camera - something I never thought possible (as I've never successfully taken a sexy photo in my life, but Ricardo found the diva hiding deep, deep, DEEP inside of me and brought her out to photograph). Overall it was a great experience, but there were a couple of communication snags along the way. Some advice: 1) Definitely call or text - don't email - to set up your appointment. He's good at responding to phone messages. 2) If you buy prints or a book, be sure to let him know exactly what you want, or if there's anything that you'd like to change in the photo (i.e. there is a blemish in the wall in the background to edit out), and double check the items when you receive them. I met with Ricardo after the session to go over which pictures to include in the book I'd purchased, and I still ended up missing a couple of photos he'd put in the separate folder to include in the book. As the professional that he is, he fixed the issue. 3) For meetings outside the studio, he tends to run a little late. He's not standing you up if it's 15 minutes past the time you're supposed to meet - he's just a busy guy. Also, he likes to photograph red. I had several pieces of black lingerie because my husband liked it, and we only used about half of what I brought. He has some extra shoes and accessories you can use if you'd like too. I don't usually leave reviews, but I thought this one needed to happen. About a year ago I bought a lifebooker offer to do a photo shoot with Andre. It was the worst experience of my life. I am very easy going and I have a high tolerance for negligence but this experience was beyond what anyone should tolerate. When I arrived at the photo shoot place, I discover it was at an apartment in Harlem, no one was there to open the door, so I waited for 30 minutes. I kept calling Andre, and when he finally picked up the phone, he said his make up artist was supposed to be there. After 45 minutes of waiting the makeup artist showed up and took me upstairs to an apartment. The makeup artist was nice but the final product was bad. I was trying to stay positive, until Andre showed up 3 hours late. He told me that he could not find anyone to do my hair so that I should just do the photo shoot with my not so nice hairdo. I then told him I paid for makeup and hair and I should get both. He then proceeded to take me to the local CVS so that I could buy a blow-dryer and mousse to do my hair. He then asked me to do my hair, but then I remind him again that I paid for hair styling. He then got a random girl from the apartment building to do my hair, and it was horrible, she burned my hair and I kept asking her to let me see it but she refused. I was so upset however I just wanted to get my pictures done. He then asked a random girl who was sleeping in one of the rooms to do the photo shoot. He treated me with so much disrespect and unprofessionalism. I thought someone paid him to prank me. At the end of the photo shoot he asked me for more money if I wanted the pics. I told him to forget about it. Be aware of this person and make sure the people leaving reviews here are not his friends trying to help him. read more

Amazing experience. I bought a living social deal for a shoot and his pictures make you feel gorgeous. His makeup artist (cleecia) is amazing and really makes sure the whole shoot and all your looks goes well. This was my second one and I highly recommend him. Andre is an incredibly professional and talented photographer. The studio was easy to get to, private and comfortable. I had a wonderful experience. I was able to look at some other photo books and see what ideas and photos I liked before the shoot. I was a little nervous at first but Andre put me at ease, worked at my pace and made the whole shoot fun. My make-up, hair and accessories were picked and done with amazing skill. After the shoot Andre surprised my husband and I by taking a few photos of us outside on our motorcycle. When I picked up my photo book I was exceptionally happy..the photos were amazing. I booked Ricardo for a boudoir shoot pre wedding at the end of March. I had found Ricardo through lifebooker initially and then went to check out his website. I emailed him with questions and he got back to me right away. My wedding was a destination at the end of April so timing was tight. Ricardo was able to accommodate me that week for the shoot. You have the option to book hair and makeup through him, which I highly recommend. Kevin Nivek did my hair and makeup and he was fabulous. I was totally comfortable hanging with him getting ready while we waited for Ricardo and his asst. to arrive and set up. Kevin works with Ricardo frequently. It's more makeup than I have ever worn in my life but totally appropriate for boudoir and it looks great in photos. Ricardo and his assistant were both total professionals and made me feel super comfortable. I was of course nervous at first but after a few minutes I was excited and comfortable. They'll provide you with champagne too if you'd like and that helps, haha. Ricardo has tons of props such as wings, jewelry, robes, veil etc and they know how to style you so you look perfect in pictures! It was a really fun experience. It's a great confidence boost for yourself and your spouse will LOVE it. My husband and I weren't going to do wedding gifts but he absolutely loves this and was soooo surprised. Even though we were in a time crunch, Ricardo got me my finished book before I left for my destination wedding! The book was more awesome than I even had expected. It's top quality! The only thing I will say is plan accordingly! I didn't think about the fact I'd be all done up when I left, luckily my fiance was away at his bachelor party. So if it's a surprise do it when spouse won't be around. Also, Ricardo is all about quality and getting the best shot. He doesn't have your shoot timed. So it can take a while and hair and makeup takes about hour and a half too. Make sure you eat before you go, give yourself plenty of time and relax and don't be nervous. Everything will be great! I was nervous going into my boudoir shoot with Ricardo - I've never done anything like that before and I didn't know what to expect. From the moment I arrived, though, the session was comfortable, professional, and fun. The woman who did my hair and makeup helped me relax, walked me through what would happen for the rest of the afternoon, and advised on outfits. Ricardo arrived just as we were finishing up and was as profession as could be - he introduced himself, showed me some example photos to gauge the look I was going for, told me briefly about his experience as a photographer, and invited me to ask questions. During the shoot, he gave very clear directions and encouragement. The whole experience made me feel so sexy and confident! The only very small qualm I had (which is so small it didn't even warrant taking off a star in this review) was that I was pushed to "add some color" by wearing some jewelry and shoes that, in retrospect, weren't really my style. The photos still turned out beautifully, though, and I just didn't choose to print those ones. My (now) husband freaked out when he found the prints waiting for him at home the night before our wedding day. I have since recommended Ricardo to friends and will continue to do so without reservation! read more
