    Ceremony at Cop Cot.
    Aphaya I.

So starting from the beginning...I found Nicki before I was even officially engaged. Lol! My fiancé and I had talked about a small intimate wedding and thought an elopement style ceremony with close family and friends would be best. So, I went searching. After getting engaged, I showed my fiancé Nicki's website that same night and decided to get in contact with her. We loved Nicki's style so much she was the only photographer we contacted. Luckily she was available for the date we picked out and after discussing pricing and scheduling with her, we went ahead and booked her. Nicki required a contract in which we would put a 50% deposit and we were down for it because we wanted to make sure we secured Nicki for our wedding date. When it was about a week leading up to the wedding, Nicki got in contact with me again to discuss final locations and scheduling. We planned for our ceremony to be at Central Park's Cop Cot, so we discussed other locations for photographs around the park as well. Prior to deciding on Central Park, I was considering other locations, but after seeing Nicki's photos, she was clearly a pro with Central Park elopements. And we knew we can trust her to get some great shots! The morning of the wedding, my fiancé was supposed to arrive at Bow Bridge before me so that we can do first look photos. But, I ended up there first so we ended up doing first look photos where I'm waiting and my fiancé walks up to me. I've only seen photos with the bride walking up to the groom, but we went with it and I loved that we did it that way. Our wedding was very casual, simple and non traditional, so doing things the unconventional way was even better. And that pretty much set the tone for the next few hours. We went with the flow of the day and didn't stress much on having to do things a certain way but just how things played out. As for photos, I knew my fiancé would be a bit awkward in front of the camera and we aren't really into posey pictures. Of course we had to some portraits with family and friends, but mostly the photos were candid and captured our natural interaction. Nicki gave us some direction and we really appreciated it since it helped set us up for some great shots. At the end of our three hours together, Nicki parted ways with us with a sweet gift. All in all, she was an awesome photographer and we are so glad we invested in her talents. Within two weeks after the wedding, we received our photos and were completely blown away! Initially, there were some people telling me that I could get other great photographers for less, but if there was one thing I would spend good money on for my wedding day is a photographer I can trust. And we are so glad we chose Nicki! The photos definitely speak for themselves. Our album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.629899133827219.1073741841.100004214132416&type=1&l=ebb0f651ba

Jonathan Heisler Photography - The perfect proposal!

I had an excellent experience with Jonathan. He captured the moment I proposed to my now fiancé and…read morethe pictures came out incredibly well. As good as the pictures were, the preparation and professionalism was just as good. He was early, ready, and extremely helpful. I knew where I wanted propose but did not know the exact location. Jonathan did and arrived to the spot I wanted (knew what it looked like but not exactly sure how to get there), sent me directions and everything went extremely well from there. 5/5 it was an amazing amazing day helped by Jonathan who made the special day work so well and captured it all with stunning photos.

-misleading website -misleading prices…read more-customer service was quick, but not helpful -rude customer service I contacted Johnathan (or his associate) to plan a proposal. I read the website thoroughly as I was doing research for this special event (proposal) We set up a call - that went horribly. As I was asking questions, the associate came off as rude and uninterested. I was appreciative that the temporal distance from my original email to when we set up a phone call was 24 hours - quick service is always a plus. However, the associate did not listen to my questions, often answering the question he *thinks* I asked and several times cut me off from speaking saying 'Yeah, sorry to cut you off here but...' and then would just ramble about something slightly related to what I said. The conversation was very rote and robotic. For example, as soon as I mentioned something about timing he would interrupt and go on a spiel about the contract and set the time and photog would be there 30 mins early and need to protect their time and blah blah blah. My question ( which I was not able to complete) was not addressed. The price on the website states 'starting at 415' - which is true, but misleading. It starts at 415 if you are at Central Park, but any where other than a Central Park location is more money. A significant amount of money. The website is misleading as it should say something like 'starting at 415 (location dependent)' or 'our Central Park Package starts at 415, all other prices are higher and based on location' - I mentioned that it was misleading and the associate scoffed. He went off on another spiel regarding prices are fair, he has business partner and other photographers etc., All fair points - but its shitty to customers that you willingly mislead them. You could easily change this phrasing and on your website - I hate small business that are disrespectful to customers / potential customers. I didn't feel listened to - I was just insignificant and unimportant to him - not even worth listening to. Why would I want to even enter contract negotiations for an event with someone who cant even listen to me talk or answer my questions? The associate ended the conversation with a compelling argument saying "our advantage is our simplicity, we keep it simple." Wow - very compelling. I ended up doing my proposal at a nice restaurant in Manhattan, where they took photos for me, let me select the exact table to sit at, put rose petals on the table and candle. The food was incredible (a steakhouse in Manhattan) and the fresh rose petals, candle, photos all came out great. Putting in a little effort goes a long way and you don't need to give some ungrateful business your money.
