When we looked for an alternative, Platinum was recommended by two people we know, so we booked a tasting. They had us at "yum"! We sampled a few items and were floored. After talking for a bit about our fall theme and looking at some ideas we had found online, we settled on a three-tier cake that had spice cake in the top two tiers (think a light version of a gingersnap) and a marble vanilla/chocolate as the bottom for our guests with less adventurous tastebuds. We went with a vanilla buttercream, which was lighter and a little less sweet. Superb! When we arrived at our wedding reception, the first thing we noticed was the cake. It was beautiful. They nailed the design and the flavor. We shared a piece of each, and both tiers came out perfect. Moist, delicious, not overly sweet or rich. This will definitely be our go-to bakery in the future.

She did not respond back for over a week and we went back and forth via email. I asked for a phone call to just sort the order out a few times and she refused. She just kept asking for me to fill out the order form...again....and again...and again. Her emails made absolutely no sense to find out that she uses ChatGPT which was why. She wasn't even responding to my emails as herself even when I told her how upset I was. I left her multiple voicemails and have still not heard from her...only ChatGPT. One could argue that the ice cream market is positively saturated in Gloucester County. I can name, off the top of my head, at least 6 different ice cream spots within a 5 mile radius, and that's not counting chains like Ritas, or places that ALSO SERVE ice cream, like a Friendly's. There is just razor thin margins in the ice cream game here. That said, Spilt Milk is at least a solid contender in the Ice Cream Wars. The owner was a very pleasant man that chatted us up while we ate. They have a TON of flavors, and threw samples out like beads at Mardi Gras. They make their waffles right in front of you to order, and build the desserts in plain sight, with very organized ingredients. The building resides in a strip mall, and is small but spacious enough, and has good parking. Although due to a sign that was facing the WALL and not the clients, I didn't see that they have CREPES, I AM excited to try that the next time I'm passing through. They are good, but not good enough for me to drive past 6 other ice cream spots on my way over there, but if they are in your neck of the woods, definitely give them a try.
