This…read moreis possibly the worst theater I've ever been in, the chairs were not cleaned they were covered in popcorn from the last movie. Within a few minutes of sitting down I had a bug crawling on me...probably from the lack of cleanliness. Not enough is offered at concessions. I wasn't confident enough in the establishment to order any more than a soda. The screen was the smallest I've seen and they try to make up for it by making it AS LOUD as possible. The movie was skipping like it was a DVD...I could go on and on. This place needs a complete overhaul. From outside in. Wouldn't recommend to anyone and will avoid at all costs moving forward. The area is severely lacking good theaters unfortunately

Admission was free too. The Melba is so family friendly and they invest in our community.

It can't be because they aren't making money almost $8 on a paper bag and 30 cents of popcorn. I get they have labor costs, but obviously no money left over for maintenance or cleaning. My "seat" was deficit of any padding and the entire place was disgustingly dirty. Carpets that have never seen a cleaning were the most obvious reason for the stench. Do yourself a favor and wait for it to come out on streaming.

This could be a problem should you need to sit for a prolonged wait. Also the lobby was very cold. Also Matthew at the ticket buying stand, needs to hide the attitude just a bit more. Why? A person who is not familiar with the theatre may need to ask specific questions for clarification of what they are seeing on the seating screen. Talking down to someone is a bit of an insult, especially if they are a very educated senior couple. Also, the concession stand person selling the popcorn, needs to change to the full popcorn canister; so you are not getting the dregs of the batch. When I made him change my bucket to the full batch; he did apologize; "his bad" and he was pleasant. I thanked him for the pleasant attitude & that he did change my popcorn without a hassle. They had "Cats" & "Star Wars". We did a back to back movie afternoon. Really good. Sound system excellent.

When it comes to seeing a movie in Arkansas, Cinemark Colonel Glenn is my #1 spot. Because it…read moreliterally has everything you need for the perfect movie going experience. Let's start with the seats. Recliners that make it feel like you're watching a movie at home, but better because you get a huge screen. Comfortable, spacious, and just the right angle to get lost in whatever you're watching. I love to put my legs up like I'm watching a movie at home on the couch. Then, there's the drinks & food. They actually have good IPAs on tap or bottled (which is a huge win for a movie theater), and hot, fresh pizza. Now, a lot of the food is your typical movie theater BS, but those Pizza Hut mini pizzas? Pretty solid. Like B- solid. Especially if freshly hot. Definitely a step above the popcorn-and-nachos routine. So, Cinemark Colonel Glenn delivers on everything that matters--comfort, good snacks, and that feeling you need to make leaving the house to see a movie even worth it.

When ordering, I noticed the staff member took the bun into a side room for a long moment, which I found a little odd but didn't think much of at the time. The moment we stepped into the theater, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant odor that honestly set a bad tone for the experience. Back to the hot dog--when we sat down, I picked it up only to realize the bun was completely hard, almost like a rock. It became clear that the employee must've noticed and attempted to soften it in a microwave, but it didn't help much. I tried to make it work, but the bun wouldn't even tear, so I had to give up on my hot dog entirely. This theater really needs some updates--not just in food quality, but in overall cleanliness and maintenance. I'll probably return since it's the most convenient location for me, but it's definitely not for the experience.

The quality of the films is much better in my opinion at this theater. The only reason I took away a star is because there food could be better. I like their chicken strips and their mozzarella sticks. I haven't tried too many other things. But those items could improve just a little. I also love this theater because it has a community feeling to it as apposed to larger theaters. It's a local theater feeling and I'd rather go to only this theater if I have the choice. :)
