For me, I'm just amazed that I can buy $11.25 for "VIP" reclining seats. The screen is not the biggest, but it's perfectly sufficient for watching a movie. I saw Aladdin here recently with VIP seating and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could pick my seats when I bought the tickets at the concession stand. (Yes, unfortunately there are no automatic kiosks so you have to go up to the concession stand to buy tickets). The reclining seats were very comfortable and roomy. I thoroughly enjoyed my Aladdin experience. I saw The Lion King recently - on the second day that it came out - and was surprised to find that the 6:30 VIP seats were all sold out by 6pm. We bought the $10.25 normal tickets for the 7pm show instead, which are first come first serve. The concession stand person said that the theater was open, but the ticket lady said that the theater would be open around 6:45-6:50 and didn't let us in. We came back at 6:40 and it turns out the theater had been open for a while; most of the seats were taken. When the movie started, I was really disappointed to find that the surround sound wasn't working at all; everything was below 1/4 volume and all the songs were much less powerful because of it. I could actually hear all the background noise around me. Overall, I would still come back since it's a 3 minute drive from me, but I would definitely get the VIP seats every time.

Within a few minutes of sitting down I had a bug crawling on me...probably from the lack of cleanliness. Not enough is offered at concessions. I wasn't confident enough in the establishment to order any more than a soda. The screen was the smallest I've seen and they try to make up for it by making it AS LOUD as possible. The movie was skipping like it was a DVD...I could go on and on. This place needs a complete overhaul. From outside in. Wouldn't recommend to anyone and will avoid at all costs moving forward. Reasonably priced…read more(movies are very low cost and sometimes even free!), very clean, amazing concessions at great prices, and friendly, helpful staff. They have tons of fun events too. Recently saw "Christmas Vacation" with our friends and family. "Cousin Eddie" and his recreational vehicle were parked outside for photo ops and a local photographer was taking photos for free. Admission was free too. The Melba is so family friendly and they invest in our community.

They actually have good IPAs on tap or bottled (which is a huge win for a movie theater), and hot, fresh pizza. Now, a lot of the food is your typical movie theater BS, but those Pizza Hut mini pizzas? Pretty solid. Like B- solid. Especially if freshly hot. Definitely a step above the popcorn-and-nachos routine. When ordering, I noticed the staff member took the bun into a side room for a long moment, which I found a little odd but didn't think much of at the time. The moment we stepped into the theater, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant odor that honestly set a bad tone for the experience. Back to the hot dog--when we sat down, I picked it up only to realize the bun was completely hard, almost like a rock. It became clear that the employee must've noticed and attempted to soften it in a microwave, but it didn't help much. I tried to make it work, but the bun wouldn't even tear, so I had to give up on my hot dog entirely. This theater really needs some updates--not just in food quality, but in overall cleanliness and maintenance. I'll probably return since it's the most convenient location for me, but it's definitely not for the experience.
