Last week I had an appointment for 401 Antiques of Cumberland, RI to stop by and review my Vintage…read moreitems. No big deal, right? The gentleman stated he was interested in a few pieces and that's cool, takes pictures and states that he sent them over to the other store in MA, and he needed to speak with them and call me back within 20-30 minutes with an offer. Great, right? I sat here and waited, not just 30 minutes, but for an hour and a half waiting for these people (because I know things happen and time slips away) so I waited in case we cut a deal and they needed to pick up. My son needed to go to hospital that afternoon and I didn't go because of this issue with 401 Antiques. I called and left a msg. late that afternoon but figured they just didn't get back to me in time. Called again in morning of next day, and to my dismay, they never called back! I really don't care if they had other intentions, I don't care if they changed your mind, whatever, I really have no issues with it. I DO have an issue with them being nonprofessional by not simply placing a call back to me stating you discussed it and you're not interested, which would have been the polite thing to do. 401 Antiques is extremely unprofessional to potential customers.
