He would let me know when one was available. Guess what, I've left numerous messages, stuck notes in my bill, emailed, and literally NO response, nothing. So my son is stuck with a too small cello while Music Hut still attempts to collect money without helping their customer. I've never dealt with a company that basically refuses any contact when someone needs assistance. Awful, avoid Music Hut at all costs!!

I said I didn't want to make the final payment until we had a full size cello in our possession, but he insisted we had to continue payments because we had signed a contract. One year later, he has all of his money, we still don't have a full size cello and he is now claiming we never asked for a full size cello within the terms of the contract. Very bad business practice!! He won't return our phone calls. Do not rent from this business. Get your string instruments from a real violin shop. If you search the Better Business Bureau, you'll see he did the same thing to another customer with a violin.

By word of mouth, after trying several local repairmen, I got wind of "Shon" at Sound Town. He combed over the amp tooth and nail, and finally solved the problem for me, a problem that turned out to be not so much a broken component (my guess) as operator error, a change-over from an active to passive guitar, and the need for a suitable pre-amp to boost the signal . It took a lot of testing and reading of manuals and schematics, before Sean figured out what was going on. He went so far as to compare my sound-levels with those of other amps in the stores and he was quite patient and thorough in every regard. I made several trips to the store, and became acquainted with three key people there, all of whom were very nice, and I got a feeling for their special niche in the music world, which is the supplying of sound systems and various components, whether for rentals-out or for purchase. They keep a fair supply of guitar needs and are happy to order anything you might want at a fair price. Though Guitar Center and places like Kolacny's and Flesher-Hinton all have their place, I'll always begin by shopping here because of their patience and kindness. It is a special kind of store with special kind of people, and it always feels good to be patronizing a locally owned business of modest proportions. Bravo!

This time the shop had moved to a new location. I was staying downtown and was able to hop on the rail and arrive within a reasonable, but m,operate walk from the train stop. It wasn't necessarily an ideal walk front eh train, but definitely manageable. This shop is always packed with cool stuff - in this newer location they have much more space and Heaven more great stuff. New and used, they have lots to look at. I was definitely impressed with the guitar pedals that they keep in stock. Really appreciate the ability to check out some uncommon stuff that I have been interested in potentially adding to my pedal board. The folks here are always friendly and obviously love talking about music equipment as much as I do. Definitly A+ for Flipside Music shop!

Recently bought an upright piano and had a fantastic experience from start to finish…read more I was looking for a basic upright piano in order to get back into playing-- nothing fancy, but something better than the less-than-desirable ones I was finding on Craigslist. Ken had amazing knowledge of all the pianos in stock; not just the ones in the store, but the ones in the warehouse too. He took the time to take me over to the warehouse just a couple of minutes away to show me a couple that matched what I was looking for. The purchasing process was extremely easy. I filled out some paperwork and had the piano delivered just three days later. Delivery was quick and easy and Pianos N' Pianos handled the whole process for me. Ken even called me the next day to make sure everything had gone well! In addition to great service, they also provide great support. They have a great warranty, and the first tuning comes free too! I noticed that I was having hand fatigue due to practicing. I went to Jay to see if he could lower the action (the height of the strings) a little bit in order to make it easier for my hands since I am used to very low action guitars. It was a still a little high to my hands after the initial set up but Jay dialed it in for me and now it plays amazing. I would definitely come back to Jay for any other work on my guitar. Jay was flexible and accommodating with days and times. After dropping the guitar off on Monday, I got the guitar back on Wednesday in time for my shows. Communication was very good as well. Very easy to find location.

Guitar Desires sold a 1976 Fender Stratocaster for me. Rob came out to my house and we agreed to…read moresell it. He seemed honest and sincere. He was supposed to get a percent and was to sell it on EBay. I agreed. The guitar sold on EBay and I was told I would get a check withing a week or so. It has been months and still no check. Rob does not return my calls. Rob and Guitar Desires basically stole my guitar. I would advise you to avoid getting your guitar stolen and use a different dealer that wont steal your guitar. I am forced to sue Rob and Guitar Desires in an attempt to get the money from the guitar. Update: I did get paid for my guitar. I did get the money owed. I still would not recommend Guitars Desires but I would no longer state that my guitar was stolen as I did get a check for the full amount after about 6 months.
