They don't call back. When I called to inquire about starting a moderate size project for my home, the woman who answered the phone said a designer would call me after his "meeting." After two weeks....I'm still waiting! Not a good way to introduce their customer service. I'm not interested in chasing after craftsmen who don't need my business. After reading other reviews, I see that ignoring a potential customer is a pattern with Rhyne Design. read more

We bought all new kitchen cabinets from Rhyne 24 years ago. I called them twice before someone returned my call. I need help with some touch up or refinishing on some of the cabinets and possible new hardware on them. The person that called me said he would tell one of the guys and they might call back if they have time. They had time when i spent 14K on the cabinets, but not for this smaller job. read more

There is a more professional way to tell the customer this than to just ghost them after the initial meeting/measurements and a few emails with design ideas. Zero integrity. Do yourself a favor. Horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and shop else where. The Cabinets were nice but getting there was hell and back. Back customer service from my salesman George. The receptionist was very nice and felt bad for me. I was stood up and on serveral appts. he was 20 to 30 min. late. Finally had to hire another contractor to complete the job of installing the custom Frig doors because he said it wasnt their responsibilty. 35K and 8 months to get product. read more

Horrible service. My dad called them for an estimate on one cabinet and waited 3 weeks then drove there and spoke with someone. After talking with this man he told my dad he would email him and estimate. 4 weeks later, today, my dad called and they told him they don't have time. Run the other way!! Custom painted kitchen cabinets and two stained cabinets were contracted for delivery mid-April. Multiple redoes - three on one cabinet due to Rhyne's mismeasurement- for sizing, paint and stain issues on about a third of the job caused final delivery of all pieces mid-June. (Seven weeks late!) George at Rhyne consistently promised and didn't deliver or was unreachable to both ourselves and our contractor. One star given because the final product was good, but we went through hell to get there. read more

A long nightmare is over. Do Not use Ryne Design for anything! There were numerous mistakes on design and uncalled for delays in delivery. While I have no quibble with the craftsmanship of the cabinets, the whole staff, including Rich Rhyne, refused to communicate, told lies and made my experience with Rhyne Design a nightmare. When doing an addition to my home which included a complete remodel of my kitchen and two baths, my contractor suggested I contact Rhyne Design. I was worried about the cost of customs cabinets and not sure I could afford them. When I went to Sebastopol with my house plans, Richard gave me an estimate within the hour. I was impressed and the costs came within my budget estimate. I am a thrilled homeowner with beautiful cabinets. Rhyne also built a broom closet, cubby closets for extra storage and my laundry area cabinets. And while I did wait an long time for my cabinets, Rhyne design is worth the wait. They are a company that stands 100% behind their work. We encountered unusual problems with needing to hide the fire sprinkler pipes in the kitchen and they came up with a great way to accomplish this and Rex, their top installer did a fantastic job of installing the trim around the beams. He also put on all my cabinet pulls after my contractor attempted to do this and only ended up obliterating the inside of the drawers which are lined with Birch veneer. The color of paint became an issues and several times we had to repaint one more more cabinet fronts. Again they stood behind the work and made everything right. From the delivery guys, to Rex, to the two owners and designers, everyone was kind, professional and wonderful to work with. And, I would remiss if I did not mention dear Paula, the office manager, who has incredible patience and took all my many phone calls with care and empathy. A long lost tradition of good work complemented with 100% satisfaction and good customer service. I give Rhyne my highest praise. read more

Rhyne Design did all the cabinetry when we built our house: kitchen, dining room, 2 bathrooms, laundry room and a library. All custom work costing many thousands of dollars. One of the things they did was a set of custom medicine cabinet doors. However, when they were installed, the dry waller did a poor job of the area behind the doors. We wanted to have Rhyne Design rebuild the cabinets for us, covering the dry wall job with wood framing, at no cost to them of course. In spite of call after call requesting a quote they never returned our phone calls. In addition, when my husband wanted to purchase cabinetry for our wine room they also did not respond to calls even though it probably would have been around $8,000 to them. I guess it doesn't matter how much you order or spend with this company, when the job isn't huge you just don't matter. Very poor treatment of former customers read more

Rhyne Design has the best quality custom cabinetry in the county, are priced competitively and will not break the bank. Period. Contacted Rhyne in January, 2013 for bid/quote. Took months to get bid. Placed order May 2013. Took 3 months to get designer to correct his mistakes in calculations and dimensions of cabinets before cabinets could go into production. Originally told cabinets would take 6 weeks to build, took 3 months. When cabinets delivered January, 2014, 3 drawers were cracked and a cabinet piece was missing. Finally in May, 2014 after numerous phone calls, cracked drawers were replaced and missing cabinet piece provided. Took 16 months from start to finish. read more

I used Rhyne Design for a kitchen remodel. While I like my kitchen working with Rhyne was horrible. George has horrible customer service, he does not return call, or emails. The installation was poor, and my contractor had to redo part of it because George never returned my calls. We don't recommend them for anything. read more

Everything went like clockwork - received plans & estimate in about 1-2 weeks, delivery was on time & the kitchen came out beautifully! We also ordered a custom cabinet for our bathroom, which was delivered 2 weeks after we approved the drawings.
