I brought my daughter here about a year ago to get treatment for some painful, persistent acne. We saw Michelle Roy and she was amazingly kind and patient. She prescribed medication that cleared up my daughter's skin in a matter of weeks and gave her great tips on preventative care. Fast forward to today. I had a questionable skin spot that my primary doc said needed immediate attention. Called first thing this morning and they were able to squeeze me in as a new patient same day! I saw Dr. Kimmis who was thorough and personable. Ended up needing a small biopsy and he walked me through the whole procedure and after care before even getting started. He was professional and efficient but I never felt rushed. I could not believe I was in and out in less than twenty minutes! The scheduling, check in and checkout is low effort. The reception area and treatment rooms are pristine. The location is easy access with ample off street parking. I've noticed they do cosmetic procedures as well if that's something you fancy. Low effort and kind medical care. Nice.

I was referred to this practice by my GP who had a particular physician in mind but knew they would…read morehave a full schedule and to not expect an appointment with that physician. The first open appointment was with a PA which I was given. The office is accessed from the back of the building on the lower level. There is plenty of parking in this area. Once in the back door, the office is straight ahead. The staff all seem very busy. The were pleasant enough but also not chatty. Slide open the window, take my information, told to wait. Window closes. Pretty standard. I was the only one in the waiting area so I wandered around a looked at some of the information they had available on skin care treatments offered. Almost spa-like services. The reception/waiting area is very bare bones with no windows and hard seats. It took several minutes to be called back where I was placed in an exam room. The tech who brought me to the exam room verified why I was being seen. I expressed my concerns. She seemed very pleasant and left. I waited in that room quite a while. I could hear someone coming and going in the hall so one provider must have been going from room to room. When it was my turn the PA arrived with the tech. He greeted me, verified why I was there and then began speaking to the tech like I wasn't in the room. He sat on a stool, took out a magnifying glass and started looking over my face. Not at something I was there for, just all over my face. While doing this he is rattling off technical words to the tech who was writing everything down as he said it. Apparently he believes I have rosacea. For which he did not offer to treat me. Weird. If you catch that early it's treatable. He wasn't even sure at first it is rosacea and after dictating to the tech for a while changed his diagnosis to 'just make down rosacea' but then no treatment plan was offered. Once done with that he stood up asked what skin care I used and offered a cream for a secondary issue I was there for. My primary issue is a concern for skin cancer. He completely ignored that. I pointed it out. He ignored it again. I pointed it out again. He side stepped. I insisted he address it and he described how 'sometimes' a condition will occur and then described to me a pre-cancerous condition that is exactly what I had described to him at the beginning. He didn't tell me he didn't think it was an issue or he thinks it's something else or address the spot on my face in any way at all. He just kept avoiding the discussion until I forced the issue. I felt so uncomfortable with the experience after a few days I called the office and spoke to someone about my concerns. They assured me the treatment was the usual method and they would speak to the PA and get back to me. They never called me back, but the PA called and left me a voice message saying if I didn't understand the treatment to call him back. I do understand the treatment. I just want to know what is being done to improve this practitioners ability to treat patients. To respect their concerns. To communicate better. He treated me like a bug under a microscope then tried to walk out of the room as soon as his examination was complete. He was literally backing toward the door as he tried to end the appointment before I had gotten answers. I never received a call back from the person I spoke with and at this point I have lost all confidence in this group. On top of that, my insurance denied the claim. Great.

By far the best care and treatment from the staff of the nursing homes/rehabs that I've been in…read moreover the last few years - staff here treated me better than any other place. I have no complaints about the CNA's, the nurses, how I was treated during intake, moving to another room, how they treated my roommate when he was brought in... They were so welcoming to him because he'd been there before ... So that Nursing staff and the PT/OT people were terrific. Everything about my experience there, including the food was great, and I would recommend them to anyone needing short term or rehab care. I cannot speak about what it's like to live there long-term I did not see that part of the facility, I was on the first floor ... That being said, I have a major complaint with the social worker/case management worker who completely BOTCHED my transfer to the Westview nursing home/rehab in Warwick, which is 45 minutes away and also run by the same company that runs overlook. I was never notified when I would be transferred, or what time, and nobody visited me to discuss discharge and go over medication and paperwork, and prepare me for the type of transfer. This was a huge problem for me. I am unable to breathe sitting up in a wheelchair for more than a few minutes. I've only ever traveled by ambulance from house to hospital from hospital to facility and from facility to my house in the past. Always on a stretcher. So when a lady in a soccer mom minivan showed up in 5° weather and they told me suddenly "OK get your stuff together. It's time for you to go!!!" ... I was shocked and upset. They had told the lady coming to pick me up nothing about who I was and what I needed and transport. So she was helpless. They were extremely incompetent in failing to prepare me for this journey, failing to explain to the driver what she would be dealing with concerning me as a patient, and not providing me the care I needed to be safe and secure and medically supervised in the transfer. What was so frustrating was with no notice and no time to get ready, they expected me to sit in the wheelchair in 5° weather in a T-shirt and no socks, and no coat while that lady fussed around with the van moving stuff around to make accommodations for my wheelchair in the back of the van, which she had to push up a steep makeshift ramp into the back of the minivan, and then get tied down with both side and rear doors open, so she could get in from the back and also from the side, not to mention find a place to store the oxygen bottle and make that safe to travel, all of which caused me to be freezing cold and lose my breath and have my heart rate accelerating into high tachycardia, bpm range - and there was no help by the facility staff - it was the worst experience of transport I've ever had and they were just un concerned and nonchalant about it. The lady who finally secured me in the minivan was not a nurse or have any experience that way she was just a driver. So I was freaking out and unable to get the care I needed, which is to stretch out and let my heart calm down before we start driving in traffic and I start being jerked around by the normal movements of a car in traffic... truly a horrific traumatizing experience, but I considered to be seriously lucky to have made it to Westview, despite tachycardia and high blood pressure and extreme anxiety during the whole journey. So I give them a four star rating for the great care of the staff and the great set up and the great vibe of the short-term care, rehab floor... However, my main complaint is revealing - both the the social worker and case management lady failed me big time in a way that put a serious risk to my health by screwing up how I got transferred to the other facility in Warwick.

Suite C, 2nd Floor Miriam Hospital The Fain Building…read more First of all, this is a teaching facility for student doctors doing their residency and as such, you need to really keep an eye on everything surrounding your care, your medical history, your medication history, be sure to read all of the doctor's notes after your visits to make sure everything is correct because more often than not these doctors in training make things up that have no bearing on your life or condition. I have caught them listing false information in my medical history alleging that I suffer from mental health issues that my psychiatrist never diagnosed me to have and she should know being a trained specialist in her field. They add information on their notes that doesn't apply to you and mention medications that you are not taking which prove one thing ... they are not listening to patients and writing falsified information on your permanent records and when you ask them to correct it, they tell you that you have to go to the records department and request modification of those notes which takes months because as I was told by the Manager of the records department, there are thousands of patients with the wrong information in their files ... a class action lawsuit should be filed against this hospital to force them to do things correctly. I recently (July 7, 2023) had an appointment with Dr Chirag Mehta at Suite C, I met with him for two reasons, my blood work results for my Cholesterol/Triglycerides were elevated an cause concern with Type 2 Diabetes. I asked about being put on Ozempic, I wasn't. Here's the concerning part, Mehta's notes mentioned mental health issues that I have had years ago and am no longer being treated for, he listed a medication that I haven't been on in over 5 years, and he wrote about things that weren't even discussed in the office, I recorded the entire conversation. I wrote an email to Christine Duffy, the head doctor who's license runs and covers all doctors working in this section of Miriam Hospital. I explained my concerns about what he put in his notes and that none of it applies to me, she referred me to contact the records department to remove the wrong information. I mentioned to her and gave her the information needed to give her access to my medical records and test results. I explained that I am type 2 Diabetes and that I asked Mehta to put me on Ozempic. Christine Duffy contacted Chirag Mehta who examined me on July 7th, this is what he told her ... Mehta told Christine Duffy that I don't qualify to be on Ozempic because I am not currently taking a Statin for my cholesterol and triglycerides. I told Christine Duffy that I am and have been taking Atorvastatin 40mg for the last 6 months and that Atorvastatin is a High Intensity Statin and is listed in my current medications in my records. Duffy is telling me to discuss this with Mehta and I told her that I will be consulting with an attorney to file a lawsuit against Suite C, her and Mehta for failure to properly care for me,failure to provide proper treatment and other issues. Please be advised that the people who are in charge of Suite C and who work under the direction of Christine Duffy are putting your health and lives in jeopardy, I have all the evidence needed to back this up. Do yourself a favor, check your records, all doctor's notes and make sure that you are being given the correct medication so that they don't cause your life to be shortened by their careless behavior.

They keep asking me to leave a review so here it is. If you get someone good the process is great,…read morebut if you get someone who is inexperienced and pushed through the "training" this is what happens. Once the needle went in I said that didn't feel right. The technician started tapping my arm looking for the needle. He started the machine and walked away. Now there only two possible scenarios and both are not good. One, he knew he skewered my vein and left because he didn't want to deal with it. Or two, he wasn't trained enough to know how to do a "stick" and the higher ups left him to figure it out on his own. Either way the Donor loses. It felt like a ballon was inflating under my skin and was painful. Switched to the other arm to get my blood back and that vein was punctured as well. I was told "it happens. and I can't come back for two months." It happens when you don't have someone trained properly, if at all. And what happens when you let this person do sticks? You get a bunch of us with double hematomas and told we can't come back for months. Which leaves us telling everyone we can what happened and posting the reviews you asked for. You need to fix how you train because this "in house" training where there is no accountability and no actual courses taken on how to stick a vein is not working. You also have people setting up the machines while we are sitting in chairs that are not set up and waiting over 20 minutes. That does not make sense. There are some great people there and I hope they read this line where you know how much I appreciated you and I always tried to let you know.
