Continuing my journey to good health I find myself in the office of Dr. Kirti Kalidas once again. I…read moremet him a couple of years ago with my mom but she was not agreeable. I need his IV therapy and Dr. Fernandez thought IV chelation would be the best way to get rid of toxins. From the moment I walked in, was greeted with smiles and professionalism. Everyone in this office I met are so friendly and caring. Dr. Kalidas is a Bredesen trained physician. He is a very knowledgeable compassionate doctor. He suggested a few weeks of wellness IV to bring my nutrient level up and than IV chelation beginning January to get rid of the heavy metal toxins. Sounds like a plan, I can't wait for the new year! The IV suite consists of recliners around the room. It took about an hour. It was a nice social hour. There were a few other woman there. I met a lovely young woman named Nicole she's a Functional Medicine health coach if your looking for one. Very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this office. She could be a therapist - that's how good she is! She will even call and check up on you. If you have questions in between sessions, you can always call and ask. I've never felt like a burden. She truly cares for her clients, and I credit her as a huge part of what put me into recovery! Now that I am pregnant, I felt that seeing a nutritionist would be wise in order to keep myself nutritionally stable during pregnancy. Nutritional Guidance was my #1 choice. They got me in quickly, and Meghan remembered SO much about me, even though it had been 3 years since I'd seen her! Recently I went back and my experience was quite different although the staff is very nice., I also find that they are not knowledgeable about health. I recently had a serious problem because I was told to take. Electrolytes. Unbeknownst to me and it seems to the staff as well electrolytes raise your potassium level sometimes to a dangerous height. Mine went from 4.4 to 6.8 which could cause heart attack, arrhythmia, or stroke. I needed a surgery and my blood test revealed the high potassium level. The only thing I've taken outside of my normal supplements, which were none of Medi Weightloss supplements just vitamins was the electrolyte. My doctor and I discussed it and I have not taken electrolytes for three weeks to bring back my level to normal when I called Medi Weightloss. They didn't seem to know much about this. This to me is very disturbing and also. Dangerous to people's health. I find that when I go, they just weigh me and give me appetite suppressant and do not sit down with me to go over how my week was what I have eaten or how am I doing with my diet. The reason I have gone back to medi weightloss was the previous experience I've had. I strongly suggest anyone going to this program to see their doctors regularly because Medi does not mean medical, and your health could be compromised.
