I scheduled an appointment here specifically to receive carpal tunnel injections that were…read moreconfirmed for me over the phone. I already had a full diagnosis from Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, but I wanted injections done locally to get through the holiday season without another 4-hour round trip to Mayo. Before they would even schedule me, they required documentation proving I was not scheduled for surgery at Mayo - which I provided. I also took time off work, transferred records, and complied with every request because I was told injections were available and could be done at this appointment. When I arrived, the nurse practitioner informed me she "doesn't believe injections help carpal tunnel," despite the fact that: They were the treatment I was told I could receive They were recommended by Mayo Clinic physicians I had already discussed this plan with multiple staff members ahead of time When I pressed the issue, she escalated to the supervising doctor, who repeated that "in 20 years, injections don't work for this," completely dismissing both my Mayo diagnosis and the treatment I had been promised when making the appointment. I left without treatment after a short argument with an even smaller human who does not like his language to be held against the common definitions of a word. The early conversation with the NP shifted away from the injections I was promised and turned into her "needing electrical imaging, there is a place next door, oddly enough, followed by recommending treatment like physical therapy--also conveniently located in the same strip mall. At that point, it became very clear this place isn't focused on patient care, it's focused on keeping every possible billable service in their own ecosystem. Bring patients in under one expectation, then redirect them into whatever generates the most insurance revenue. To be absolutely clear: I was refused the injections because the provider "didn't agree" with the treatment I'd been prescribed elsewhere, and that their own staff had promised over the phone. This was a wasted appointment, wasted time off work, and completely avoidable if anyone had been honest up front. (But don't expect the Dr. here to admit that.) If you're looking for a practice that respects medical records from world-class providers, honors treatment agreements, and isn't built on keeping everything inside their billing ecosystem, this is not it. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this office to anyone.

They do not understand urgencies, if request to be transfer to the office they hang up on you. Its sad as a patient we have to be stuck with these ladies that dont care and probably the doctor does not even know of their behaviors. If I am a patient I should be allowed to be connected with the office, no in between of people that does not care. Please Dr. Hudanich take the power away from these ladies and allow patients to speak to the office directly when already established patients. We should get another phone number. Not that call center of woman that does not care (because of course not their love ones).

I had an injury resulting in a fractured wrist and tibial plateau, both requiring surgery. Dr Sookhoo did a great job pre op, explaining options, the procedures and listening to my concerns. The surgery and follow up have been excellent. As for the staff, they were extremely helpful in assisting me with paperwork needed to get temporary wheelchair tag and required documents I needed to get reimbursement for a cruise I had to cancel. They are always pleasant, they get back to me in a timely manner and genuinely seem happy to help. I've seen several complaints of wait times. Maybe as a retired RN I can understand the unpredictable events that can cause delays in a schedule. I've had one visit with a longer wait time (almost one hour) in which I was informed they were behind. When they got to me, even though it was the very end of the day, I was given full time and attention. I highly recommend!

I specifically looked for a doctor with his own practice, that had experience with sports related injuries. The process of contacting the office to schedule the appointment was seamless. There are various date/time combinations available. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was pleasant and the new patient packet was simple and concise. I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time and xrays were take of my knee prior to seeing Dr. Winters. Although I was there for my left knee, xrays were taken of both knees. Afterwards, I waited about 10 more minutes before Dr. Winters walkd in with my xray scans on an ipad and explained why I was feeling the pain and how to alleviate the pain without surgical intervention, which was not needed. He explained everything in way that was easy to understand and took his time with me while I asked many questions. His patience and thoughtfulness is commendable. My experience with this practice was very favorable and if I wouldnt hesitate to return if necessary.

He stated that side of his practice he doesn't deal with, but I have to! I don't have anywhere near his income and I don't want to be in debt forever! I live a small 1 bedroom condo. Do you think he does? He deserves to make all the money he is capable of making, for sure, but that doesn't justify why I can't get a response from his staff after 5 phone calls. ETHICS ARE IN SHORT SUPPLY HERE! Every patient deserves more than this.
