I love to shop local and seeing so many Canadian products that the store promotes is refreshing to say the least. Having a small business in this day and age is extremely hard and I applaud this store for it's longevity in the village, they have been there since as long as I can remember. Obviously the owner has an amazing talent for choosing very unique items and I have purchased many gifts but usually also walk out with some beautiful clothing or jewelry for myself as well lol ... also always enjoy the friendly staff who have on many occasions steered me in the right direction and then to top it off, gift wrapped my selection too! Win Win all the way! PS the new Houston Llew tile selection is amazing.

Wish On A Star fits in perfectly with the life of the village. Lots of great gifts for any occasion. Pet, guys, wedding, baby, bath, body and of course furnishings adorn this store. The best part is that all of the gifts are wrapped with lovely scented potpourri, tissue and ribbons. If you buy a gift from here, it will likely be the one on the gift table that's admired while the recipient carefully opens and saves the wrapping to use again. And if that wasn't enough, there's two love birds that live in a cage, chirping away while you admire all of the lovelies.

The last time she was far more preoccupied with whatever Tik Tok she was trying to record than she was with assisting me and my friend. In this economy, where gift shops are a dime a dozen, customer service is important. There is some cute stuff, but a lot of the items she sells in store you can find elsewhere for cheaper, and they claim it's all local artisans, but some of it is giving dropshipping. I will be going to Front & Company, or Makers, where 100% of the proceeds to go the maker, instead.

When I first entered the little shoppe the vibe is emmaculate as I was greeted by the cashier at the front. She had a smile that easily lit up the room and her energy was just kind and friendly. And the amount of candles in this little shop was just abundant. I smelled all the candles that were there that day. I found a couple for myself at the same time so next time I can come back and buy some. But, I found the perfect ones for my friend~!! The amount of stuff and local created gifts are just amazing. I will be back here for tons of gifts!!

These include: socks, scarves, mittens, chargers, headphones, fresheners, stuff animals, etc. Though it may seem similar to places you find in Richmond (Aberdeen Centre) or Robson St., the quality of the items seem rather good. Just too cute. 4 Stars. - Toss Pillow with hand warmer pouch on the side $7 - kids just love it! 5 Stars. Payment is cash only for now. You'll most likely find what you want here or the perfect gift for your friend, but it won't be cheap). Lately I've been inundated with FB ads for a specific made-in-Canada household cleaner and I was intrigued with the product, for many reasons. On the manufacturer's website, it showed that this Coast Goods store sold the products, so I decided to check it out IRL (as opposed to purchasing it blind on the web). This shop is quite small, right on Victoria Dr at the corner of Charles. There are lots of trees on both sides of the street and the area is very residential. Even with GPS, I drove right past the shop initially without seeing it (the canopy of trees obstructed the shop sign and street sign for Charles). FYI. (Granted, I'm not familiar with this particular area). Once you know where the shop is, there are ample free parking spots on Victoria proper. The store interior is small but jam-packed with incredibly well-curated items. I really like that all (or the vast majority) are Canadian-made, and many, artisanal. From jewelry to greeting cards to candles to pottery and dinnerware, from textiles and cocktail napkins to organic cleaning supplies... you'd be hard-pressed not to find something perfect here, for yourself or a gift for others. I like how they carried local artists' works but also a few other well-known companies' works (i.e., Jenny Bird jewelry, for example). The two women who worked here when I visited couldn't have been nicer. They opened up their own cleaners that I was interested in, so I could smell the different scents, and we chatted a bit about all the fun stuff in the store. Great place! I know I'll be back.
