Integrity is what you do when you think no one is watching. Most people wouldn't post the details about this experience, but I've seen way too many people hurt by mean people wearing a "nice people" mask. (Apparently while I was asking for help, Dr. Jacob was writing the letter terminating our patient-physician relationship, instead of responding to my valid questions & requests). Up until today I haven't heard from her. I have attached the termination letter & ALL of my unanswered messages. Hopefully google can help me taper off these antidepressants. Protect yourself, I'm glad this happened to me...maybe I can stop it from happening to someone else. I honestly can't believe this is happening.
Dr. Jacob is very gentle & 'nice' but she expects ADHD & anxiety patients to cosplay like they don't have a disorder. Plus her and the staff take messages WAYY too personally, & shame you if they see your symptoms. (See pictures, she called this "verbal abuse") They will ignore your messages, so it feels like you're walking on eggshells. I'm not ashamed of my diagnosis, so I won't be shamed for the anxiety, oversharing, impatience & overtexting that comes with ADHD sometimes. There is a character limit for messages sent in the app, so you have to send multiple messages if it's long. I already have to explain the craziness and rollercoaster of emotions that comes with ADHD and PMDD to my family & friends...I didn't think I'd have to explain it to the doctor who diagnosed me.
She is not a good psychiatrist especially if you have ADHD: so find someone who will accommodate your EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION.
-will make sure you have (flexible) post dated prescriptions ready at the pharmacy.
-does not get offended by your impatience or requests for accommodations
-understands how the symptoms of disorders manifest
-Doesn't ignore your messages (I still can't believe a psychiatrist would do that) read more
