Being kind, patient, knowledgeable, understanding and creative are some characteristics needed when working with clients in the emotional business of home decorating. Tarra encompasses every one of those and more. One of the most important attributes I was looking for in a decorator prior to starting a large remodel was someone who would not push their own tastes on me and would value what was important to me while also providing the style and look I wanted. Again, Tarra is exactly that and is why I feel we worked so well together. Another part that I found amazing was her vision to see an outcome that was totally different than my original look, and it came out perfectly! Her taste is flawless! Besides the undeniable talent and creativity, I would like to speak specifically to her patience and professionalism. I found it very difficult to decide on pretty much anything during the remodel and needed her handholding every step of the way. She did so without fail and was consistent and patient throughout the entire process. She gave more than 100% each and every time, always responding to my texts and making herself available to me even for a quick thumbs up on a picture. Tarra was the most instrumental piece in the phenomenal outcome of our newly remodeled and upgraded home. Hiring Tarra was without question one of our best decisions throughout this entire process as she merged our ideas with her expertise and unique flair. Our remodel included coordinating a full kitchen, dining and living rooms design all while being mindful of costs and time constraints. Tarra addressed all of our needs to include, but not limited to: design layout, construction alternatives, lighting needs, painting/color needs, furniture selection throughout, cabinet style/stains/paint, flooring alternatives, etc. She was amazing to work and collaborate with throughout the entire process, and when complete had transformed our single-story ranch style home just as we had envisioned. We knew going in that it was going to be a steep price tag. We were prepared for that. On our first (and by far our best) visit, we were helped by a lovely salesperson, I believe it was Sarah- she was knowledgeable and so helpful. We picked our sectional, fully aware that we could return or exchange pieces within the time frame given. And we ended up doing just that. The pieces we thought we wanted were not quite it... so we exchanged them. Part of our purchase was 2 reclining pieces. And here's where things got difficult. One of the recliners just stopped working and when we called to ask for help with the warranty they kinda gave us the run around. Still have a non operable recliner and I just think at this price point- there should more options to receive assistance if needed. Just my 2 cents.

We simply wanted to get an idea of the options we can configure our future purchase with. Then Giselle helped us out and presented ways to get us our first Sactional setup! She walked us through different configurations and how to potentially set us up for future expansion when we want to expand upon our couch. After being presented with all the options, we signed up for the interest-free financing and left the store shortly after closing with our Sactional order placed. A few days ago, they had several mid-century style pieces of furniture that were new. Seems like most of the furniture are manufacturer closeouts, or dent and scratches, This Habitat ReStore amazes me, because it is in a nice modern industrial building, which I have never seen Habitat occupy. The others I have been to , are in the oldest most run down buildings in low rent areas. However, as nice as this building is, you look way up at the ceiling, there is no AC or other cooling system. It was over 100 degrees when I bought this chair, outside temp. They leave the front door open for the breeze but you feel all the hot air, that is hotter than the temp inside the building. The employee at the cash register, near the open door where all the hot air was coming in, said "Yep, no AC". But if you didn't have air circulating, even hot air, it would be a greater hotter oven. They have a separate room, where they sell small stuff, not even related to building or home stuff, like bike helmets. The thing about this store, the things they sell here are newer, and not used and sometimes broken and chipped, like the other Habitat ReStores have. The donations come from manufacturers or commercial businesses rather than individual donors that are remodeling their homes, or got a new piece.

I buy toys throughout the year so I have a bundle to donate when collection time comes around. So my visit here was not wasted. My purchases were under $20, which kept me within budget. The employees here are always so nice & welcoming.
