Every service they offer they excel in and you really are getting the best of the best! Every time I have come here it has been a great experience. All of the staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home, making sure you are well taken care of while you are there. Compared to other salons in the area, the pricing is extremely fair - especially because the staff is consistently going to classes to improve their skills and making sure they are up on the latest trends. I've been getting my hair done by Taylor for quite some time and I honestly couldn't ask for a better stylist. I have complete faith that I will be leaving happy with my hair every visit. That feeling is priceless! The patience and care that each of the employees at this salon have is really worth making this salon your spot for all of your pampering needs!

I was offered beverages while I waited in a calming, comfortable reception area. I was promptly greeted by my hair stylist, Jess, and was treated to a relaxing, complimentary moisturizing treatment. I strongly recommend Salon Fig if you are looking for a natural, holistic, alternative approach to beauty provided by a caring, talented, and professional staff.

Not only is dining hugely disappointing, but I've tried quite a few hairdressers and I've left so utterly disheartened. Salon Fig was such a positive experience. My hairdresser, Ava was a delight. She was easy to talk to and truly listened to me. Together, we came up with a plan for my hair. I valued her input as she explained each step of her process. Sometimes, hairdressers can be jarringly rough with shampooing but Ava made sure the water temp was comfortable and massaged my head with just the right amount of pressure. The hot towel treatment after was heavenly. I'm happy to say my curls are back and well defined, unlike my last hair experience, where the hairdresser blew my hair out straight despite me sharing a photo of a curly hair style. After my hairstyling, I purchased small quantities of the products used. I've started using them and I'm very pleased. Salon Fig is not inexpensive, but I will definitely return. I'm pleased beyond belief.

I change hair styles pretty frequently.  Luckily Kim, my usual stylist, keeps records of cuts and colors. When I want a change, she pulls out the iPad and we look for something new that will suit the shape of my face and the texture of my hair. She explains how different cuts will work with my hair, and she gives me her honest opinion as to what will look best. Her work is consistently excellent!  This past March I went from long layers to a short cut.  That week I started work in Manhattan. As I was walking down the street, a woman came up, tapped me on the shoulder and said she just had to tell me how beautiful my hair looked! I never had that happen in Manhattan before!  I was so excited,  I called the shop the next day to thank Kim, and let her know my cut was a hit!  I just came back from a wedding in North Carolina and everyone loved this last cut and color, too! Lois cut and styled my hair for my wedding. Because I didnt know how I wanted my hair or headpiece,  I scheduled a couple of appointments to try different styles.  The day of the wedding, my hair was perfect!  It was exactly what I wanted, and lasted all day and night!  I didn't have to fuss once! You know a great cut when you wash and style your hair at home, and you look just as great as when you left the shop. That's how my experience has been, and that's why I continue to go there.

Thank you Shear Dimensions for responding. I want to provide a clear and accurate account, because…read moreseveral parts of your statement do not reflect what actually happened: 1. Well over a week prior, The responding police officer instructed the salon to return my coat immediately and made it clear there was no basis to accuse me of taking anything. Despite that instruction, my coat was still withheld, and I was asked to follow additional steps that were unnecessary and burdensome. 2. I returned to the salon multiple times during your posted business hours to pick up my coat, but the staff refused to return it and repeatedly insisted that I could only speak to -- and only retrieve my coat from -- the owner. 3. When the owner later insisted on specific pickup times, I explained that I work out of town and am not available during most salon hours or during the limited times when the owner was present. That is why I had already attempted to pick it up several times while you were open. 4. I informed the owner that the receptionist spoke to me in a rude and accusatory manner. The response I received was, "she's young and doesn't know how to speak to customers." No apology was offered at that time, or during any of the several calls and conversations I had with the owner. The only apology I received was after this public post. 5. After repeated attempts on my part, the officer ultimately had to retrieve my coat herself. That was the only point at which the issue was resolved. 6. I want to thank the West Milford Police Department for their professionalism and assistance in resolving the matter. I am sharing my experience because the community deserves an accurate understanding of what occurred.

OK let me start off by saying Josh is amazing. I have dark brown/almost black hair, and I've never…read moregone lighter before. I had wanted to try balayage for such a long time, and eventually go for a more drastic blonde look, but was always too afraid it was going to look bad or not colored right to look good with my skin tone/other dark features. I found 2w Hair Bar after polling other folks in a neighborhood Facebook group about where they go for balayage and color services. Several recommended this place. And now I see why! I've been to Josh twice so far in the last 6 months or so - the first time he did an all-over hand-painted caramel balayage, which I LOVED. I've never gotten more compliments on my hair (by total strangers) than I did after I got that done. The second time, we moved on to an all-over foil and lightened it up even more. I was suuuuper scared but figured it's just hair and I could always change it if I hated it. But I loved it! A close (but very opinionated) friend of mine said I have a "blonde bombshell" look going on and I knew I made a good choice. Love the decor of this place - it's updated, on trend, bright and clean. They offer coffee/tea/water while you're getting your service done so that's a nice touch. Maybe some bubbly in the future, guys? :) It's a popular place to get hair done, so it might be a little bit of a wait to snag an appointment, but it's worth it. It's hard to find a stylist who you can trust with your hair but I'm glad I gave Josh a shot. He's absolutely fantastic (and also hilarious so I don't mind spending 2-3 hours in a chair chatting away with him). Thanks Josh! See you soon-
