I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with The Hair Shop has been extremely…read morefrustrating. This was my third attempt to chase down a refund for a returned item. Each time, I was asked to provide the same information, despite prior chats and confirmation that the return had already been received. I was told I would get an update within 24 hours--days went by with no communication. Only after reaching out again was I finally told the refund would be processed. While I did eventually receive confirmation, I was disappointed to see that shipping was deducted, even though I had already paid to send the item back. After all the delays and lack of follow-through, that felt like poor business practice. Customer service should not require this level of persistence just to get a resolution. The lack of communication, repeated runaround, and having to chase my own refund made this one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I would not recommend this company based on this experience.

The consultation consisted of her telling me to change my shampoo and buy a salon grade shampoo. Also to change my styling product. I got more of a lecture than a consultation. I brought a photo of a previous haircut that I liked very much. The haircut I received wasn't close. After a partial blowout the stylist started to "adjust" the length and layers. After going from bad to worse, we called it quits. To be fair, I think it's hard to get the perfect cut the first time out. I thanked the stylist for her efforts. My biggest disappointment, however, was in the attitude of the salon. I reached the owner by phone they next day and she couldn't have cared less about my subpar experience. I suggest you skip Hair Glow and look for a salon that cares about the customer.
