Thayer will gouge you, then tell you your home isn't worth the product. I moved to a minority city after buying my affordable home and pay taxes like everyone else, yet even though I am doing a self-install, Thayer refuses to do fair business. He's classist and thinks he's too good and the product is too good for my investment. When I sent an email for assistance with locating alternatives, he never responded. The man is flaky and doesn't even know me and doesn't know my city as well as he thinks he does to presume that the house and its people aren't worth anything. Furthermore, if he did, he'd know that I've already spent $22,000 on this renovation project and that I'm not too low-end for the engineered wood flooring of my choice. I'd never been so disgusted in my life by a business. My money is as green as anyone else's in this country and I shouldn't be treated as if I'm less than.

The business committed that the floors would be level and that the air ducts running throughout the…read morecrawlspace would not be crushed or damaged in any way. The company raised the floors, and they are within reason of being level. However, I noticed a couple of months later that they crushed one of the airducts that was literally next to one of the support beams that they installed. I did send an email to my point of contact with the company and received an email back stating that since I "did not reach out to them within the 24-hour period of them installing the beams, that they were not liable for the damage." I reached out to the BBB and Crawlspace Solutions called me. The company stated that they were going to send someone out to look at the damage to determine if they caused it or not. I took off half a day of work, leaving work at 11am and waited I received a call from the company at 3pm stating that they were not sending anyone out, because they had sent several crews out to work on their other issues which they had caused. The company has been out 2 times in the past to fix other issues. They pinched wires which caused breakers to trip and the support stands that they used to level the house were not centered on the beam. If you use them, be sure to inspect everything they did shoddy poor work. Imagine had this happened to a disabled individual and they could not go under their house to inspect the work for damages. The HVAC tech that I am having repair the damage stated that it was obviously caused by their crews and is going to cost me a good portion of money to get fixed.
