A few months ago I took my watch to Leitzel's Jewelry in Lebanon to have it serviced and regulated…read more Since I got it back it has not worked correctly it's either gaining or losing time every freaking day it doesn't seem to hold the time for 24 hours like it has done before and when I contacted them they were rude to me and when I put up a review on yelp they accused me of trying to ruin their family business. Today I took my watch to Brent Miller in Lancaster they have a sterling reputation. Their watchmaker opened up my watch they said it looks like it never been serviced the inside was dirty and is both gaining and losing time and the gasket which is supposed to be replaced so it remains waterproof was the original gasket that was in the watch and never been replaced. I cannot say enough negative things about Leitzel's Jewelry, they completely screwed me and had me pay a couple of hundred bucks for either shoddy work and lied and didn't do the work. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!

I have had costume jewelry resized before and paid about $75.00. According to the young lady working there they would have to charge us the price as if the diamonds are real! What the heck does the diamonds have to do with the metal? She said return the set and get a smaller size! If I wanted to do that I wouldn't be in your store! I'm not even sure what size I now wear! And I'm being nice about what I've said. I could've said worse. Would not recommend this place. VERY disappointed since they have good reviews!

This family owned business is located centrally on Main St in Mount Joy in a large, stand alone,…read moresomewhat elegant building with ample parking. Upon entry it is a skylit setting of a large number of jewelry display counters. Staff are amazingly attentive and knowledgeable. They offer something to drink and ask whatever they can do to make you feel comfortable enough to spend big bucks on beautiful jewels, watches and other elegant fittings. This is a beautiful store with beautiful expensive things. They are full service providing everything from jewelry cleaning, repair, replacement, sizing, whatever is needed to keep your jewels looking their finest. This is not free. These are high end professional jewelers who know what they are doing. Replacing a watch battery is $15. Making a ring a size bigger, about $125. Replacing a tiny stone and resizing, reinforcing prongs, about $225. If you love estate pieces as I do, there are 3 cases. A gold filigree type emerald ring surrounded by peridots was $1500. A large opal in a gold setting, $1600. A 1960s pink opal, $600. I have to say that skilled jewelers are harder to come by. To stock watch batteries when people don't even wear watches anymore, except us old folks, is no longer a Walmart counter service. If I was in the market for high end jewelry and wanted the lifelong service for my investment, I would be very secure doing business here. This is not a mall jewelry store with bright lights making every diamond seem to call your name. This is a first class, no kidding high end place where you get what you pay for. I took a few photos but was worried about appearing to be casing the joint, so no actual offerings photographed. You will just have to go and see for yourself!
