The quality of this company has proven they do horrible work! They remodeled our bathrooms and were supposed to install support beams for the glass door and the door kept sagging. They had to back out to repair this and tear up my wall again because they never did the support wood. They also redid my closet where they took half the closet to make bathroom larger and the whole clothing rack and shelf collapsed! They have refused to fix the closet! Not to mention the trouble we had with them messing up during construction! Do not use this company! read more

We have been very pleased with the Bath Planet shower that was installed in our home by the local Bath Planet installer, RFMC Construction. The original installation crew was outstanding, and the shower has served us very well for a number of years. Twice over those years, Bath Planet/RFMC workers have come to our home to do minor work on the shower (install a new shower valve, re-caulk the shower, and attend to other minor maintenance. All of the technicians have been courteous and very efficient, completing their work quickly and expertly. Also, the Bath Planet office staff has always been very courteous and helpful, arranging service calls for us as quickly as possible. We would highly recommend Bath Planet/RFMC to any of our neighbors and others who are looking for a way to update a shower in the most economical and least disruptive way. read more

They are very lax on schedules. The patio cover was 2 months late, they blamed the city for the permit. When they put up the patio cover, they sent the wrong ends, I was so fed up I didnt care anymore. They sent only one gutter in the kit, supposed to be 2. Had to come back another day to put the 2nd one in. I would not use this company again for anything. read more

Over the weekend my Son in Law commented that he smelled natural gas outside. We were able to determine that the source was the riser installed by RFMC. I called first thing Monday and was told I would be called no later than afternoon. Called them late afternoon and left a message. Called them again on Tuesday and was told per the owner that since the install is only warranted for one year, to call a plumber. I explained that I believed it to be at a joint. Was told to let them know what the plumber finds. Called a plumber who diagnosed the issue in just a few minutes, took a wrench to the pipe and was told it was only hand tightened!!! Had RFMC came out to look at the issue, it would have saved me the frustration and costs for something they should have caught. Called RFMC and told them the findings with a promise that a contractor would call back. I'm not holding my breath... read more

Had a patio cover installed in March of 2018. Started off a little shaky at first though. Our original appointment for our estimate was supposed to be in the afternoon. I waited around for about two hours before the estimator called and said he got cought up with a client and wouldn't ba able to make it and he would call tomorrow to reschedule. I waited about a week before I called back to schedule another appointment and figured the guy was just busy and forgot. No big deal. We decided to go with this company and set up a install date. Had some problems with the city I guess and it was about 4 months before they actually started install, but stuff happens and I understand that. Finally got the cover installed and were were happy with it. Finishing work wasn't the greatest. They didn't smooth out the concrete for the posts, missed some studs with lag bolts, and some of the pay covers weren't level. Called and they came out and fixed almost everything. Overall happy with the cover though. The real problem came when the covert started to leak though. I called and they emailed me saying they couldn't come out til March or April of 2019 to fix because of the rain. Figured ok I understand. Called in March and they emailed me saying it would be April. Finally recieved an email in May with a set date but it was short notice and neither my wife nor I could be home to take care of or large dogs so we had to reschedule again. Finally got it resealed first week of June. Waited a week and spayed water on in and it leaks still. The operation manager is so difficult to deal with and will never return any of your phone calls that I want nothing to do with this company anymore. I will just reseal the cover myself. It's a shame because my wife and I like the cover and some of the people were really nice. The problem lies mainly with their operation manager and the fact they can't get the cover to stop leaking. I tell all of my friends and family that ask about our cover to stay away from RFMC construction and go with somebody else. They don't seem concerned about customer service or return customers. read more

We are so happy with our patio enclosure. We signed on not even knowing what it would look like when done. They did not let me down. So, there are 3 sides, 6 large windows (2 on each wall) that slide open on both sides w/screens. The door to the outside is more glass than wood. Much light comes in, making it what we wanted, outside brought in, but comfortable. So, I think we should have had it with HVAC hooked up, this 'winter' so far has been too tame & the room heater I purchased is not needed, but I know the summer is going to be horrid. This I would suggest to potential customers. The company was inundated with customers, so there was a few months delay. I was called each week letting me know situations and status. The biggest thing for me, everyone was very professional. I gave 4 stars because of the length of wait, and some paperwork had not been submitted in a timely manner. We even had him come out more than once and verify it was in the correct location before concrete pour. Then to make it worse Caleb tried to lie about it and blame other people. This was our second project by RFMC/Patio Kings. Caleb came out on time and did the initial visit and took our deposit. The materials were delivered on time. On the day of installation, the installers were several hours late - with no communication. I finally got a hold of the office and explained to them that I had to take extra time off because of this; they gave me a measly Restaurant.com gift card. The patio cover itself turned out great, however, almost every single area of the new concrete their contractor (FAJ Construction) poured had cracks within a week of installation. He said he would come out and patch the concrete and never did. I'm waiting to hear back from the company but it seems like they care more about getting their money than retaining their customers. I don't plan to move again, but if I do, I will likely think twice about using them a third time. read more

The worst costumer service ever. You will never get an answer from simple yes or no questions after you sign the contract. Considering that they charge 8k for a patio cover, this is unacceptable. They will claim miscommunication, but it seems that in this company every employee is doing their own thing without considering the costumer. Expect delay beyond the expected delay. read more

They began our work in Oct 2016 they finally finished our patio cover completely in Jan. 2017 Caleb sounded all good during the sales pitch but customer service sucked after that 100%. Our cover kept leaking really bad and it took 4 different visits for them to fix the problem. Had to actually redo the whole thing because of poor work. They have a really bad window time to be out also. 4 hours to be exact. No one has time to be waiting around all day for someone to show up. The communication they had amongst themselves to sucked. There are problems in that office & very unproffessional that's for sure. Sad that my review isn't better but they predict their own outcome not me. I wouldn't recommend this place. First I must say I have been a long-time customer and used them for several projects over the past 20 years and was always more than satisfied. This time not so much. I hired them for a pergola. Caleb showed up and helped with the design we wanted. He had to be convinced that we did not like his ideas; that we had our own idea. He measured and made a drawing that looked good. But when the project was finished, it looked nothing like what we wanted. Indeed, it did not even look like Caleb's drawing. To add insult to injury, they broke the low-voltage sprinkler wire even after being warned as to its location. When I confronted Caleb with the problems he insisted it was my fault. I contacted Rick who was gracious and agreed it did not turn out right. A crew was scheduled to make adjustments (which included, among other things, moving two cemented posts) and I took the day off work. The crew did not show up. An hour after the scheduled time I called the office only to be told they were running late because they had been a day behind all week. It would have been nice to have been advised of that the previous day--missing work costs me money. They finally arrived 5 hours after the scheduled time. They had the wrong address! They "fixed" the broken sprinkler wire but not well enough for the sprinklers to actually work. They did not finish as promised. They did not have the proper parts (touch-up paint) and left a huge mess. There were sheet metal screws in my driveway and piles of cement dust all over my patio and driveway along with bits of trash. Several of the build crew (initial crew and the recent crew) observed that the design was idiotic. To get the look we wanted the rafters should have been running the other direction. It would have been easier to get the look we wanted and it would have saved them many hours of labor -- not to mention having to redo the job which, as I write, is still unfinished. Ok in response to RFMC remarks about the job they did on my patio. The owner of the company said I wanted him to work on an adjacent patio that was not in our contract. YES I DID... they cut it back way too far, they were not suppose to even touch it. He gave me two credits before they even poured concrete. One for leaving nail embedded debris all over my yard. The second one was for a tile medallion that was set in concrete in the center of my old patio that was to be kept and set into the new patio concrete. The demo crew wasn't told anything about saving it so it was ruined. From what one of RFMC guys told me three guys were fired during my project. I have a two foot gap between my new cover and my old redwood 2x2 cover that they cut the fascia off that held up the ends. They ruined it ,it was not in the contract ,if they wanted their money they should of fixed what they cut off, and replaced the fascia. As with other clients they've had that had issues with them, I do not recommend them and agree with them in that there is a large gap in communication within the company. I recommend the Patio Kings of Fresno CA solely for completed product workmanship and the work ethic of the installers and delivery staff. I have a new patio cover installed last week that I am pleased with. Much like several of the reviews already posted, I found communication and accuracy lacking in office-to-shop staff. The initial project bid was conducted in a thorough fashion by Richard who did respond via e-mail to my inquiries about changes to the initial contract. However, it took two rounds of communication with office staff to get a signed copy of the contract change agreement. Shortly after contracting for a patio cover, I received a lengthy e-mail with attachments from the 'production manager' which contained conflicting information about the delivery of materials. I had scheduled other work to be performed on my property contingent upon the delivery [date] and installation of this project. I received a call a day early that materials were being delivered but was unavailable to pay for the materials. I explained this to the driver who was courteous and understanding about the miscommunication. We agreed that I would mail the check since the miscommunication about the delivery date was "on them". I called the production manager to inform her of this and she had the audacity to argue the conflicting communication with me. Fortunately, I was where another person heard this conversation. I confirmed the installation date with her to make sure that was correct. I received a call from the installer on the first day of [expected] installation informing me that he could not come that day. He did arrive the next morning as promised and immediately saw that not all materials were delivered. He made calls and had the remainder pieces delivered a couple hours later. There was still a slotted panel missing, however, which meant he would not be able to complete the job that day as he'd intended. Luckily I had cleared my calendar for the following day in case of any further issues and was glad I did. The installer's frustration with the inefficiencies put on him was palpable, but he was courteous and respectful toward me the entire time. He stayed in communication with me and let me know exactly what would occur next in the process to correct the order and delivery errors. He stated several times that, regardless of the mistakes made before him, his main concern was my satisfaction and that I be happy with the final [installation of] product. The patio cover has since been cleared by the city building inspector. Life is good. Commendation to installers Enrique and Adrian for doing what they said they would and doing it well! RFMC built an addition to our home and we are very pleased with it. The addition created a suite for my mother to move in with us and the team had good knowledge put to use with care to create a suite that is the best possible space. There are several major areas they get right: 1) They delivered on their promises. Rick came in person to see our site and hear our vision and his team followed through on what he said they would do. In the end we have a well built addition that was incorporated in the exterior design of our home and looks natural. They matched the interior design equally well. 2) They gave attention to our project. Ours was not a huge build and its a little out of the way in Kerman. I was afraid we would be less of a priority. This was not the case. Lynea and Carlos kept the process moving forward. Someone was working on the build almost every weekday. We passed all our inspections the first time. 3) The RFMC team and subcontractors were respectful of our time and presence. Being an addition, workmen had to come into our home, but I never had an issue with anyone. The guys worked diligently and were as unobtrusive as possible. Pros: They were quick with the project and finished within the estimated time. Workers and staff were good about following up with questions and concerns during construction. Cons: I thought there would be more of an opportunity to customize the bathroom - e.g. bathroom doors, shower head and handle. After construction started we were told that the items already came standard which wasn't the impression we were given by our sales rep in the beginning. Also, when our shower walls came in, they were slightly different in design and shade from what we were shown by the sales rep. Finally, the line work and caulking looked rushed at the end which I believe would have made a huge difference in giving the bathroom a clean finish. The other frustration is that we were never given a breakdown of costs even after a couple of requests. Overall, I like my bathroom but its not great, especially for the price I paid. read more

I liked working with Rick (the boss) and the office staff. The subcontractors varied from job to job and , while they were interesting, all I wanted was or the work to be done. It took longer and cost more than I'd hoped. However, I knew that was likely and had planned ahead for it. I stayed in budget (used the slush fund, too) and it was done before I went bananas. The end result was better than I had thought...my friends are unanimous in their praise... and comfortable and easy to work in. Any regrets I have are due to not doing more; but I had a budget and we stuck to it, I hope to hire them again. read more

I had a beautiful patio cover built on my house. RFMC did an outstanding job. I have had a couple minor problems and they responded to fix them in a timely manner. There are a lot of patio companies out there that use cheap material. RFMC is the only dealer in Fresno that uses the best patio material in Duralum products. Don't use any other material than Duralum!From design with Caleb and Jessica at the office I highly recommend RFMC if you want the best patio built on your house. I met with a tech the last week in May to get a bid. It has been almost 2 months now and I still don't have the bid. I have called a few times and I was told they are waiting for the manufacturer. Then I called about a week ago and was told the bid would be emailed to me, but it never came. Caleb came out and gave us an estimate for a patio cover that included a contoured edge. He said he would take care of getting the approval from our HOA. After we had not heard from Patio Kings for 3 weeks, we called them. They said they had been unable to contact the HOA. We were able to make contact with the HOA with 1 phone call. All this took place before COVID-19, so everyone was working then. We were not home when they installed the patio cover and returned home as they were cleaning up. We were surprised to see a straight edge instead of a contour, and mentioned it to the installers. We spoke to the lady in the office to find out the price difference between a straight edge and contoured edge. She was defensive and rude and said it wasn't in the contract. I sent her a copy of the paper that Caleb gave us for the price of a patio cover that included a contoured edge. They finally took off $200. We were told originally that we would be able to pay by credit card. When we called today to put it on the card, they said it would cost us 4% more to use a card. We believe the quality of the cover is good, it was just not what we wanted. read more

Not very good customer service. Once your job is complete the service goes out the window. Also the company they use for concrete FAJ construction is questionable. After a month the concrete started cracking / splitting. I contacted Rfmc and they reached out to FAJ and no one ever contacted me. I also reached out to FAJ and left several messages and no luck. Now I have a water leak. The city came out to assess and found It's coming from under my patio. I had an engineer come out and he said whoever did my concrete did not know what they were doing. They poured the conCrete over my water valve to shut off the water. The concrete had to be removed to get to the valve. This left a big hole in my patio. I reached out to Rfmc and all they could say was Sorry. There is nothing they could do. I spend over $20,000.00 on my patio just to have it torn out. I do remember the owner/foreman from FAJ would come and drop off his workers and did not stay to supervise them. This may be why the job was done so poorly. read more

I wish I could say I had a great experience but this was not the case. They hooked both of my fans to my flood lights and the only way to turn on my fans either day or night I have to turn on all my outside flood lights. When I questioned the owner his response was everything worked when we left. So I guess if he ran an extension cord to my electrical plug and turned them on it would be ok since they would actually work. What a joke. I can guarantee he would never do this at his house. They also did not install the GFI plug for the outside extra electrical that was paid for but I cannot get him to return a call. I would definitely sway anyone from using this company. The only plus was the girls in the office were very nice and I couldn't imagine them having to continually have to tell clients the bad news since the owner will not get on the phone to discuss his unacceptable work or refund of incomplete work with me. read more

Rick and his team were amazing. They did a total gut remodel on my very outdated 70's kitchen. Lenea was my project supervisor, and was a joy to work with. She was always just a phone call away, and talked me "off the edge" many times! This was my first time doing this, and they guided me with an expert hand. All of the subcontractors they used for my project were professional and knowledgeable, with the exception of one. My final cabinets were not installed to what I had selected, and expected. That was due to the "sales job" I got from the cabinet company salesman. He did not deliver on his promises to give me the kitchen cabinets of my "dreams". I will post a separate review on him and his company.. Because of that one issue, and it was a big one for me, RFMC would be getting FIVE STARS! read more

I'm now relieved I didn't go with this company and will make sure to mention Rick's arrogance and lack of consideration when I share my experience with fellow neighbors, coworkers, family and friends. I guess Rick thinks people who call for quotes, are ready to hand over a $15000 payment on the spot. A smart consumer is going to compare quotes, talk it over with their wife/husband and then go from there. However, based on Rich's reply, he was expecting me to hand over a $15000 check on the spot, without first talking it over with my wife. Now he's just being silly or he's really out of touch. I was also never told that my quote had an expiration date. I want to thank Rich for exposing another area that lacked communication from within his company. This guy claims I waited a month because he is the best. No Rick, your arrogance is preventing you from understanding a $15000 decision isn't made overnight. Especially during these "crazy times" you speak of. This guy never took into consideration that I had to take a day off of work for my appointment only to be told prices went up 10% while his employee is standing on my doorstep. This is inexcusable. A simple call giving me a heads up on the price increase would have saved everyone time. But you're the victim here, right Rich? I wasn't notified prior to my appt on purpose. I gave this guy an opportunity to do the right thing and unfortunately he didn't care enough to call me back and have an adult conversation. I was willing to meet in the middle but this guy isn't about doing the right thing. He's about money. Everything stated in my reviews is factual and this guy knows it. My review could have been positive but the unprofessional actions by Rick has turned this into a negative experience. Our experience was fantastic, we had our patio cover with 3 fans and lights and also lights at the end of each post and it looks great. It lowers the temperature outside at least 10 degrees is great and we also wanted to add cement to the sides of the house and extend the patio cover ground and they did a great job a definitely will recommend them. read more

I cannot recommend this company. Called them a few months back to get a quote on a patio and outdoor kitchen. Later that week Caleb called me and we made an appointment for him to come out. My wife and I met him and he discussed ideas, took measurements, etc... He then said he would call us later that week and give us a quote as well as send us a 3d drawing of the layout. He never called. After two weeks went by I called him and he was very apologetic and said that he would get us that info the following week. Never heard back, called them spoke to a Dana I thin who said Caleb had a morning meeting and she would have him call me. Never heard from them it's been over a week. Scheduled an appointment to have someone come out and go over what I wanted done. Estimator comes out to my house and shows me an orientation video, measures my bathrooms and gives my a price. I asked if that included the discount that was advertised on the website which claimed he knew nothing about and which he wished that the company told him about. Anyway, he was supposed to get back to me by email or phone with dates that the project could be started and I was going to decide how I wanted to pay, cash, credit, etc. He was also supposed to check on the discount. Never heard from the guy again. I feel that if they wanted my business he would have followed through with the phone call or email as discussed. And as much money it was going to cost me he should have provided the customer service as discussed. Bad customer service from the start. read more
