Our contract and timeline were clear, and we received daily or weekly text updates letting us know exactly what was planned for the days ahead. Any question or concern we had--no matter how small--was met with a quick and thoughtful response. It was also obvious that J & J holds their subcontractors to very high standards. Every trade that came through delivered work that met J & J's quality expectations. Before choosing J & J, we met with several other well‑known residential construction companies in the area. We were even able to sit with and adjust the electronic designs in their studio. They subcontracted with a painter who did great work and was really easy to work with. The guys from J&J were responsive and did things when they said they would. We were not super picky, but when we asked them to move a knob or drill an additional hole, they were happy to do it. We are very happy with their work and will go with them next time we want to get something done.

Cloud Nine Construction company installed a shower in my guest bath that we have had nothing but…read moreproblems. The shower backs to my hall wood floor....within a short time I noticed bumbles appearing in my wood floor and I contacted the floor person.....bumbles in the wood is water damage!! By means of attempting several solutions to no avail, we have to totally tear down and redo after only 3 1/2 yrs. We realized the leaking has to be an issue under the floor......The pan was put in wrong, so it drained out around it in one of the corners! The Cloud Nine owner, Gilbert, refused to assist when I wanted to find out who installed the glass doors as we were trying to attempt to have more reap holes drilled thinking that might help drainage! His response, was, it's no longer under warranty! You don't care about warranty when your trying to fix a leaking problem damaging your floor. The attitude of the owner was uncooperative. Their Installation was not done correctly and has had cost & headaches to try to fix! No stars from my experience with Cloud Nine Construction!

He was knowledgeable and responsive, which is hard to come by these days. His crew showed up and finished when they said they would. They ran into some issue with the flooring project at my house, only because it was an older house and they were blending in new flooring with existing flooring, but they didn't leave or ask for more money to make sure it got done right. They just adjusted and made it happen.

Reached out to owner, Noe, he asked me to send an email so he could reply with a response and schedule a consult. A week later no email from him. I called him and he said he was out of town. Ok, gave him a second chance, let's schedule over the phone, HE SAID, let's meet between 12-1 for the in-person consult/estimate. He also asked me to text him the my address, my name, my cell, etc. so I did. Day of, hours before our time frame, I asked him to text me when he's on his way. No text response. I called him at 1 and no answer. He called me back and said he was an hour away on a job he was stuck at. Wth!!! You schedule a meeting with a prospective client and you ghost them and you give them NO heads up. Very disrespectful of someone's time! You should call to reschedule, I say these type of lazy business owners don't deserve anyone's business. He texted me later after I told him I'll go elsewhere and he said HIS main responsibility is to current signed contracts! You're responsible to potential clients, too, and to make meeting times YOU arranged, in addition to signed contracts. That's how to run a business. A quick text to say we have to reschedule is a bare minimum to run a business. To give a response like that lets me know you give no s**ts to your customers and you don't respect them. What a flake!

It was a middle of the road price point I followed up after a week and Islander stated the proposal would take more time because he is busy. I get contractors are busy, they are short staffed or have green employees that need training, but if this is your situation, be honest and do a better job estimating your time lines. I understand this is a balancing act, but do better! I don't like my time being wasted anymore than you do. I am self employed as well and I try to be respectful of my client's time as I hope they respect my time. It's not cheap providing free estimates with the gas prices. I will be removing your name from my vendor referral list. This is unfortunate because I thought you were more professional.
