I'd love to give a great review to Rey and Rey's. He was really friendly and we had a great time chatting. We had a disabled F350 dually and its fifth wheel. Rey agreed to tow both and recalled his other truck to tow the trailer while he towed the dually.
We put in the trouble call at 11:30AM and Rey showed up about 2:00. By about 3:30 or 4:00 he was wondering what happened to his other truck (they completed another tow job without him knowing). He also realized that it would be unable to tow the fifth wheel because an essential component on that truck was damaged. The second call for help for the trailer was so late that nobody could come out until the next morning (turns out 24x7 emergency service is a lie in this area). So, my large investment in an RV had to spend the night unattended.
I think he got a little flustered by being on a single job that long and only getting one tow out of it. He loaded the dually, but I had to stop him because he hadn't put the truck in neutral. He also dragged the ball hitch in the back. Once the truck was loaded, the rightmost rear wheel was hanging completely over the edge.
In the end, there was no damage and the truck ended up at a qualified mechanic. But, the series of unfortunate events could have resulted in damage to the truck and theft or vandalism of the trailer. I'm gifting Rey's a 3-star because I really think he's a capable operator and would give him another chance if I was in the area with another disablement.
The trailer spent a second night on the highway, but that's a story for another review... read more
