ZERO STARS!!!! This was, without question, the worst experience I've ever had with a repair shop…read more I dropped off my Jet Ski and was told it would be repaired. After two weeks, I called for an update and was told they had already removed the engine and were simply waiting on parts. They assured me that once the parts arrived, it would only take another day or two to finish the job. About a week later, I called again and was told they were still waiting on one specific part. The problem? I had personally left that exact part with them brand new in the box when I dropped off the Jet Ski. At that point, I knew I wasn't being told the truth. The day before leaving for vacation, I told them I'd be gone for a week and would pick it up when I got back. They said that wouldn't be a problem and promised it would definitely be finished by then. While I was away and after I returned, I called every single day, for 2 weeks, multiple times a day, probably close to 10 calls a day, in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Not once did anyone answer the phone. They didn't return a single text message and voicemail was not available. It became obvious they were avoiding me. I EVEN called the business across the street to ask if Mikey's was still open because I couldn't get anyone to respond. They told me they had been open every day and that people were constantly going in and out of the shop. After driving an hour and a half to the shop, I found my Jet Ski sitting in the exact same spot where I had left it over a month earlier. It had never even been touched. Everything I had been told--that the engine was removed, that they were waiting on parts, and that it would be finished--was false. When I confronted them about ignoring my calls, the excuse I got was that they "sometimes can't hear the phone" or that they were "too busy." Standing right there, I called the shop's phone number myself. The phone rang throughout the entire shop and workshop. There was no way they didn't know I had been calling. They simply chose not to answer. I'm a business owner myself, and I understand that delays happen. Parts get backordered. Jobs take longer than expected. What is completely unacceptable is lying to customers, avoiding their calls, refusing to communicate, and allowing them to believe work is being done when it isn't. If they had simply been honest from the beginning, this review would be very different. Instead, I wasted over a month, drove three hours round trip, and was repeatedly misled. The lack of communication, dishonesty, and complete disregard for a customer's time made this one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone. THEY SUCK!

Obviously some people only post when they are angry and bitter. Mike is a standup guy. So my 22 year old son bought himself his first big adult purchase. About 80% on his own. He found…read morethe used Harley he was looking for on the website and worked with Jeff to arrange a meeting. Big Moose is 2 hours from Hermon, but they had the bike he wanted to look at. He just got his endorsement from Central Maine Harley and we so wished we could have made a purchase there to put his class towards a purchase, but alas it was not meant to be. Big Moose had the bike. Mark was his salesman on site and was great. They knew his endorsement was so fresh the ink had not dried on the paperwork. They had him drive a few laps around the lot and then took him out on the ride. They even put him on another bike. Mark rode with him down the road and to a big lot where he could really work the bike. Aidan stepped in to be the finisher and was fair and took a bit of back and forth but we settled on an offer. Their selection of used bikes is solid.

So you would think a dealer called "Big Moose" would have t-shirts with Moose's on them but they…read morewere sold out! They said that because it was so late in the season (Aug/Sep) that they didn't order more until next year but apparently everyone riding through Maine gets one of their shirts. I was disappointed since I had planned on getting my kids Moose shirts from Maine. Their poker chips made up for it, a Moose on one side and a lobster on the other, perfect! Each chip is $4 which is higher than average and about $4.22 with tax. The dealership is very nice and clean but also very small. It's been modernized so it has all of the new HD dealer standard look to it, no character except for the big moose on the wall wearing a hat. I had the parts department look up a part for me that they didn't have and were able to locate it at another dealership since we were on a trip so we could get it on our way....we would not be coming back this way. Parts staff as well as motor clothes staff were super helpful. They have a small HOG lounge area at the front of the store. Sales staff were friendly and not pushy. It's a bit off the beaten path to get here but worth the stop if you need a break. Bad cell reception inside but they have the public wifi password posted throughout the store.
