Everybody I spoke to over the phone and in person while picking up my cakes was VERY polite, attentive and nice. The cakes themselves (the execution) exceeded my expectations, both of my babies received exactly what they were asking for and they were blown away!:) As far as the flavor, my daughter is eating it right now saying, "OH MY GOD, it's too yami":) my husband who is not a cake eater admitted that both cakes were way better than he expected. For my taste the flavor and texture were just ok, but I have to admit that I grew up eating decadent gourmet cakes and it's really hard to impress me with cake flavor these days. Overall it was an amazing experience! And we highly recommend this place if you are in a mood for some beautiful sweet stuff:) THANKS to everyone from Monique's Cake Company!

My boyfriend and I had brunch at crepe town on a Monday morning. They are going to close soon and…read morereopen at a different location so I wanted to try them out before they disappear for a while. It is kind of hidden next to the museum but we found it after a couple of minutes. I can see why they want to move to a different location so you can find them easier and so the seating can maybe look a little more elevated. We were able to sit wherever we wanted and it wasn't too full so we chose to sit in a corner and it wasn't too full pretty quiet. This was a nice little change compared to most brunch places that are loud, we enjoyed being able to talk without yelling. There is only one server so I'm not sure how they do it if it gets busy but he was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We got a green tea with pineapple and a raspberry tea. They came unsweetened so you could add the sugar you wanted and customize the sweetness. Soft drinks (Coke, sprite etc) were not refillable so I'm not sure if it was a can or bottle. Coffee was available (cafe de olla) and also had free refills. I got the eggs Benedict with a spinach crepe and it was pretty good. I liked the fruit it came with, it was super fresh and the eggs were perfect! My boyfriend got the poblano chicken with a spinach crepe and this one was AMAZINGGGG! I know why the server said it was his favorite. He added some spice with the chile and it was perfect. I would 1000% come back for more and I will definitely go to the new location for this specific plate. The chicken was shredded perfectly, corn, poblano pepper and the cheese was all delicious. We ordered a side of almond flour pancakes because we were pretty hungry and weren't sure if our plates would satisfy us but we loved these! It comes with strawberries, bananas chocolate sauce and I think roasted pecans. It was so yummy and the pancakes were a little dense but the toppings complimented it so well. I do wish the server came back so I could ask for more syrup because my boyfriend and I like to drown our pancakes but that little cup was fine. Overall I would definitely come back and try other things on their menu. I hope they get a soda fountain since I am a Coke Zero addict but their tea was not bad. I also got to try their mostachon with strawberries and that was hands down the best mostachon I have ever had. I will be looking into ordering a full size one because it is worth it!!

For funsies, we decided to pick up a dozen cupcakes to take with us. Talk about variety! But first, the customer experience of walking in: You are IMMEDIATELY hit with the smell of cake. Sweet, delicious cake. I imagine that's what heaven smells like. It's a small space, but the group makes the best it can with social distancing. Everyone is wearing a mask, and a hand sanitizing station is by the door and also by the register. All the cupcakes are protected by glass, and the colder sweets are protected in a clear fridge. And as appetizing as the cold cakes looked, c'mon. We were here for the cupcakes. They're legendary in the Valley. Our selection only had one duplicate: The lemon blueberry. And honestly, these massive muffin-sized cupcakes are huge. They're huge, dense, moist, and did I mention huge? They maintain their cupcake flavor without coming off as too muffin-like. And with eclectic toppings like HOT CHEETOS WHAT, decadent brownies, cherries, and candy corn (they can't all be winners, I guess), there's something for everyone here. My absolute favorites, in no particular order: Red velvet (Classic, delicious, traditional), strawberry (not cloyingly sweet, still fruity), German chocolate (ohmygodddd), and chocolate with a massive brownie plopped on top (guaranteed to satisfy your resident chocoholic). In fact, I loved these cupcakes so much I stopped by again before my drive back to San Antonio. The four and a half drive back was, indeed, torture. The smell was all-encompassing and you bet I tore into one as soon as I got home.

The verdict is out, this place rocks, from the tacos, to the service, this place is The Bomb dot com. The place is decorated with simple Mexican decor of bright colors. You walk in and seat yourself, and immediately a lady comes to your table to take your appetizer and drink order. I ordered the charro beans and from the aguas frescas choices, I ordered the Cucumber. The beans are nicely flavored, and the Cucumber drink has lots of fresh cucumber in it, it was very refreshing and lightly sweetened. I added lime juice, (it adds a little tanginess to the drink, Try it!!). My choice of tacos was 3 bistec tacos (chopped grilled beef steak), and 3 crispy tripita tacos (chitterlings that have been cleaned, boiled, and fried to a crisp). They are served in corn or flour tortillas, with chopped cilantro, a slice of avocado, and queso fresco on each taco, and a side of sliced grilled onions. The tacos are FANTASTIC!!!
