I got the tarot and vanilla swirl ice cream in the fish waffle cone. It has a name and I'm sure it's much shorter than what I just described - you get to choose 2 flavors of ice-cream and if you want your waffle cone filled with Nutella or custard. And you also got to choose a topping - I chose fruity pebbles and it was surprisingly perfectly sweet. The cone is a real waffle cone not a crunchy Cold Stone cone - like a legit fluffy waffle made into a pocket to hold your delicious ice-cream. Echoing the other reviewers - this place is a gem. My partner and I haven't had good bubble tea since we moved to the valley (from Boston), but this place was amazing. We had the matcha milk tea and the coconut milk tea (w/boba), as well as the taiyaki (with red bean). Both milk teas were excellent with perfect levels of sweetening (subtle, not overly sweet) and great flavor (the matcha in particular was very matcha-y). I was also thrilled to find taiyaki, which was was also *amazing* (freshly baked with a perfectly crispy outside and perfect red bean filling that comprised of whole beans and perfectly sweetened). Definitely made my top 3 favorite food options in the RGV. Will be stopping here next/every time we're in Brownsville. read more

We had Japanese ice-cream on a recent trip to New York in China town so when we visited Brownsville and saw that they offered a similar ice cream at Bubble Cafe we decided to go and check it out. I had the taiyaki matcha ice cream and my father in law had the taro ice cream. We were very impressed with how delicious they were. My husband had the Mango milk snow and loved it! Our daughter had the coconut bubble tea and said that they tasted better than some we purchased at Houston pricier locations. This will definitely be our dessert to go place when we are in town! Worst bubble tea I have ever been too. We ordered two Thai teas with boba four bread snacks and we sat for an hr waiting for the drinks. On top of the long wait, the bread was not cooked in the middle and the boba was not edible. There were also small flies flying around the couches. read more
