My goal was to avoid becoming significantly blonder. Unfortunately, the final result was the opposite of what I had requested, and my hair ended up much blonder than I wanted. What was particularly concerning was that when I expressed my desire for a brunette look with minimal highlights, Kim responded that it would be "disgusting." I found that comment unprofessional and unnecessarily harsh. Clients should feel heard and respected, even when a stylist has a different professional opinion. To her credit, she did attempt to correct the color by adding lowlights. However, the lowlights did not appear to take, and I was told there was something wrong with my hair rather than being given a clear explanation or solution. I understand that color services can be complex and that results may vary, but I left feeling that my preferences were not fully respected and that the outcome did not reflect the look I had specifically requested. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not return and cannot recommend the salon based on my visit. I hope this feedback helps future clients and encourages better communication between stylists and their customers.

On four or five separate occasions, one of my nails fell off within two weeks, requiring me to take additional time out of my day to return for repairs. After the change in ownership, I began booking with Emily, whom I understand to be the new owner. At my last appointment, Emily gave me a medium-length Gel-X set with French tips. Within only three days, the white polish was noticeably chipping from the tip of every nail. When I returned, Emily showed no sympathy for the inconvenience and made me feel as though I was imposing by asking her to correct the problem. She repeatedly suggested that I must have been "using my nails too much." Gel polish should not chip that badly after only three days. I directly asked Emily whether she had used regular white polish instead of gel because that was exactly how it appeared. She said no and insisted that she had used gel polish. I do not believe she was honest with me, particularly because after she touched up the white polish on the tips, it did not chip again. I asked her to redo the nails and make them slightly shorter, but she said I would be charged for that and would not redo them complimentary. The only correction she provided was a slight touch-up to the ends of my nails. There was no discount or other gesture for the repeated inconvenience. I left feeling that my concern was blamed on me rather than honestly and professionally addressed. After being a loyal customer for years, this experience was disappointing enough that I will not be returning.

I'm not sure what style I wanted, so I let my hair grow for 3 plus months with plans of going to Hammer and Nails. I met Mike, the owner, at an event at his place. I was impressed with the concept of a place focused on guys and doing it with style and quality. Fast forward 4 months later, it was the first time I spent over $25 bucks on a haircut. Also, my wife convinced me to get a pedicure that I never had before. My hair stylist was Roya. She knew exactly what to do with my hair. I was very pleased with Roya and the entire experience. In fact, I already booked my next haircut with Roya. The pedicure was good also. Having your feet and legs massaged was a cool experience. This is a great place for guys to get a great haircut, watch sports, and have a beer. I Highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a new grooming place for guys. In looking carefully at the site again, Mgt needs to add a "cancellation" button or a "button" is not their for a reason, remember your credit card is on file and if you forget to "call-in" you'll get a charge on your card. She assured me they should not & would not look like that. While she was doing my nails I noticed her do at least 5 extra things I've never had another technician do for Gel X. On top of that she takes the time to match up the length of each nail on both hands & shapes them to your perfection.
