Longtime Customer, Deeply Disappointed…read more I've been a loyal customer of Frye Farms for over 15 years, but after my recent experience, I won't be going back. What happened was not only disappointing--it was downright disrespectful. There was a sign outside advertising 50% off fruit, so we asked a simple question about it. We were told the discount only applied to EBT cardholders. When we politely asked for clarification, the staff member looked us up and down and told us to leave, saying she never wanted our business again and that our question was "disgusting" To make things worse, they shorted us on our change and kicked us out before we could even address it. The staff member referred to us as "you people," which felt especially offensive and discriminatory--particularly since I'm Hispanic. It was a revealing moment that contradicted the inclusive image they seem to project. It feels like Frye Farms punishes people who work hard and pay out of pocket, while charging outrageous prices for basic produce. If you're hoping to be treated with respect while spending your hard-earned money, this is not the place. This business has changed, and sadly, not for the better. I strongly suggest taking your business somewhere you'll be treated with basic decency.

Dunbar Farms has long been one of our favorite spots in town. Last week we had an especially fun…read moreevening there- we had a large group of multiple family's with kids and grandparents, and the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating despite our large party and many requests. The food came out quickly and was delicious. And as always, we stayed for hours because the kids were busy and happy, playing catch in the grass together. Looking forward to many more evenings at Dunbar Farms this summer!

TO BE CLEAR, THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH- My family and I went to Mother's Day brunch…read morefor the first time. I'll start with the pros: The scenery and views are beautiful. The music stage and grassy area looked lovely. The cons: The food was just ok. It was ala carte, pricey and you had to order it at the counter and then pick it up and take it to your table, also bus your table when finished. So basically they had no host, server and one guy bussing if he had to. We had to find where our reserved table was ourselves. The tables and chairs were plastic with no table cloth so it felt undressed and unthoughtful. We had to search for salt and pepper on other tables and every table didn't have them. We asked for ketchup and the guy said he would look for some when he wasn't busy. He did finally slap a big bottle down on the table well after we were finished. Normally on any other day, I wouldn't have a problem serving myself but it was Mother's Day. I did not want to do all that. I hope for them in the future, they make the Mother's Day Brunch better staffed and thoughtful for the mothers and families who come. Perhaps, instead of their usual food service style, they could alter it to make it feel less self service on Mother's Day. We gave it a try and we won't be going back for Mother's Day.

Their wines are some of the best affordable options in the Rogue Valley, offering real quality without the big price tag. The food menu is surprisingly extensive for a winery, far more than simple snacks. The wood-fired pizzas are a standout, whether you go personal size or shareable family style. Families will love this spot. It's genuinely kid-friendly with plenty to keep little ones entertained: animals, an on-site ice cream parlor, and if you're lucky, you may even catch a magic show. Located close to town and as one of the Jacksonville Trolley stops, Rellik Winery has become one of our favorite go-to hangout spots for friends and family. A must-visit for anyone exploring Jacksonville. They have a Killer story behind the wines...

They were setting up for an event and there is a pond out back. Also a chicken coop. We were greeted right away and we ordered a sampler of wine and sat outside. They have a nice selection and I ordered a Chardonnay and a Rose. Shout out to Audrey who was very nice and we discussed the wine and cider they have as well as some upcoming events.

It's the end of an era…read more I remember first discovering Lillie Belle's magical chocolate at Phil Lesh's 70th birthday celebration at Bill Graham. It wowed my tastebuds in a profound way. It's been 15 yrs since then. Lillie Belle - closed up shop this month - after 24 yrs of delighting people with their handmade artisan chocolates. Thank you Lillie Belle for bringing so much joy and goodness to the world. Trust. See original review back in 2010 below: For me - chocolate is seeped in nostalgia. I can remember spreading chocolate hazelnut spread on toast in Jakarta. I remember my first Snicker bar in Bali. Lying stomach-down with a Kit-Kat bar - on my great Aunt's carpet in Wales. Playing faux fondue parties with my barbies with a Cadbury Creme Egg in New Jersey My stomach groaning after a trippy Cadbury Factory tour, with excessive free chocolate- in England And the spicy kick of a Lillie Belle Farms' Crunchy Fire Bar comprised of sugared Pecans and Firey Chilis in dark Organic single origin chocolate - at a Furthur show in San Francisco. Given to me by a regal looking nine-year old redhead with a thin purple glow-stick weaved into her braids. And later - sweetly- given two other bars - - by her just as amazing nine year old friend; clutching a tye-dye plastic ball. As I snapped off pieces of those bars - beneath the moving iridescent colorful lights, while the soaring chords of a guitar wrangled my soul - I felt like I finally understood it all. Understood why. Why chocolate is so alluring. So seductive. I understood - as the brash kick of chile lingered at the back of my throat - intermingled with a coating of bitter sharp dark chocolate. Lillie Belle Farms now has a permanent imprint on my chocolate memories. So much so - that I've already ordered a couple of bars of chocolate from their website Even browsing through their site - makes me happy. I appreciate the simple packaging of their bars. Their straightforward organic ingredients. And moreso I love that I first discovered Lillie Belle Farms in a dark-love-filled-music-blessed concert space in San Francisco. Trust.
