They carry beautiful, locally grown produce, but they have so much more to offer. Our first great find here was their fresh and frozen fruit pies made by The Pie Company, a well-known, local business located in nearby Ripon. We are already big fans of this pie manufacturer because they supply their frozen pies to some of the larger Ace Hardware stores in our area, too. We live in So Cal, but we can pick up the exact same pies they make and sell here in Ripon/Manteca. We swear by them, especially the peach, apricot, and blackberry. They taste homemade and are piled full of naturally ripened fruit with very little sugar so the fresh fruit flavors shine through. While the crust is more thick than I usually prefer, I decided their crust is one of the better ones. Such a treat! Another find here was the wonderful array of flavored vinegars and honeys. The fig balsamic vinegar is amazing. So good, we returned the next day to bring a few more bottles home with us. There are several local brands to choose from. And then, check out the refrigerator section. If you see products from Long Ranch, this is a local pig ranch that has prize-worthy, thick cut, perfectly smoked bacon that has brought me to tears. Their bacon is heavenly. If I ever get a do-over, I would grab some of everything I see from this Ranch. Since we were on a road trip, we grabbed a few snacks. The sesame sticks, packaged under their own label, are so fresh and delicious. They have many other snack options that carry their label. Bet they are all really good. I am so impressed with the quality of the products they sell, I only wish I lived closer. I'd be a regular here.

I walked the whole store and couldn't find any organic produce. I asked a man stocking the produce if they carry organic and he shrugged and pointed me to ask the man at the front. (Hard pass since I knew how that would go and I didn't see any). I wasn't interested enough to look at pricing, so I am not helpful there, sorry. I left the market and saw that they have a fairly large garden space where they grow their fruit and veggies. Which would be great, but they are literally 100ft down a slight embankment from the I5 Freeway, so I imagine they are exposed to lots of emissions, etc. I added a screenshot of their location for perspective. As I enjoy visiting different types of farmers stands and markets during the summer. My opinion of here, is that this is a location that you can stock up on food items in large quantity of what's in season at a really low cost given the fact that you would need to eat a lot of the items within the same few days of you purchasing them. There are a few items that may last a little bit beyond that timeframe. But I can't say that the small handful of produce that we chose that I was pretty satisfied with were the flats of white eggs that were for five dollars for 24 a flat, and the mini sized watermelon that were for $.50 each as we picked up four of them you will also find some good sized garlic and other items in the refrigerated area like cilantro, parsley, and mint. The inside of the establishment is mediocre in cleanliness but pretty clean around majority of the food areas you are able to also venture outside of the establishment where they have a lot of the starter fruit tree plants that you can purchase in buckets and the establishment growing some of their produce along the side at this location. They do have a parking lot, which may hold about seven cars or you can park on the outside of the establishment alongside their fenced area. Where you will see some fruit trees that have been growing there. As you start to walk into the establishment, you will see two massive size posters advertising what they have on sale for that current day or throughout that weekend. They also have a small standup freezer that holds some of the meat items that they sell here as well. Overall, you can find a lot of produce that will get you through a week or two again depending on what you're picking what you're looking for and how long that produce will last. This establishment accepts cash card and EBT. And they are open seven days a week which I think is also great 7 AM until 7 PM. It says the establishment is for sale so I'm not sure if they are moving towards new ownership in the near future but again you can find some great deals here. We went during the summer the day before the Fourth of July around 9am which was a Friday. It wasn't busy but a few cars there. The regular price is $10 for 15 dozen, still a great amazing deal. Fast friendly service, at their window pick up. This week of August 11th they had an $8 deal for the 15 dozen We came on Thursday the 13th and got that 8$ deal!! We mentioned them to family and friends. My cousin's family from her husbands side has a lot of kids and went by in the afternoon and said there was a long line and a lot of people My Thursday morning around 10a wasn't busy, even with the deal, so I guess their afternoons are a lot more busy FYI I hope they will still have these amazing prices for months to come which definitely helps big families. There were a few cars and waiting people when arrived but, the line to grab some fresh eggs moved quickly. I grabbed 18 large brown eggs and paid $5 dollars. No fuss. No muss, just some fresh eggs. SCENE: Pleasant Valley Farms is located in the unincorporated city of Ripon on W Ripon Road between Austin Road and S Curtis Avenue. The farm has signs clearly marking which way to enter and leave the property and the process for getting eggs is simple; drive up. Find a place to park. Head to the window and buy your eggs. RECOMMENDATION(S): You can't beat the freshness of their eggs nor their price. Highly recommended.
