John Bassford and Chris Garner are incredible at the sport itself but also possess a seemingly endless supply of energy, patience, and eye for detail. They will not coddle you, but they also will not make you feel stupid as you learn. And learning is what they want you to do. It is hands on, you will work with others in the class respectfully, they insure that. There is a limit anyone can learn simply practicing alone or with someone who will not challenge them. This is not something you need to take into consideration at Undisputed. If you want to improve you will have to suffer the pain education brings with it. Undisputed understands this. They will not antagonize this inevitability. Any rivalry that springs into being from sparring is kept amicable. For those with lousy vocabularies this means respectful, friendly, maybe even fun. All skill levels are embraced and all are welcome. It is a rare community, a real community, a place where you become part of something greater and are free to roam and lift weights or tap into the dynamic teachers who are there. Finally, Cassie worked with me on payment plans and proved that not all gyms are rigidly fixed on taking your money. She was accomodating and fair. I will use this gym maybe twelve times throughout the rest of my two year contract. I'm not looking forward to walking into this place. Save yourself the burden of feeling forced to go here due to money and just pick a different gym.

Even if you move to another city or can no longer attend, they continue charging you--no exceptions. Worse still, your payments don't stop after the 12-month contract ends. They automatically switch to a month-to-month charge until you submit a written cancellation request. I couldn't attend after just 3 or 4 months, and today, I realized they've been charging me for an entire extra year beyond my original contract--just because I never sent an official cancellation letter. Make sure to read the fine print carefully before signing up! Otherwise, you might end up paying far more than you expected.

You can't take that class and not get in shape. There is a similar class in the evening that is great too - just more people. If you get bored easily at the gym, you won't be bored in these classes. They are always challenging and you're learning to defend yourself while working out. I've been studying mixed martial arts for over 10 years and have been at Apex for 3 years and thoroughly enjoy it. I'm checking the "good for kids" because they have kids specifically for kids - don't bring kids to the regular classes.

My wife and I visited last week for a quick getaway vacation, and wanted to keep up with our workouts to offset all the cheese, carne seca and margaritas we knew we'd be consuming. Contacted Wildcat Crossfit and dropped in first for their Sunday community workout. Lori was the coach and instantly welcomed us--She's a great coach and utterly hilarious. The workout was solid with a mix of pullups, running and kettlebells. We dropped in several more times and it was like we were regular members! We also met the owner Jen, who was also super friendly. Couldn't recommend the gym more-- Good programming, cool (yuge) space, no douchebaggery, and awesome people. Oh, and it's also close to Roma Imports, which is an amazing place to go undo all the hard work you just did with a Matt's Special sandwich :)
