Chicken poblanos enchiladas at lunch (like mole)
    Angela M.

It was 2pm and we were desperate for something that would have gluten-free options. Rey Azteca was the first place we saw that could accommodate. There were a few patrons just leaving as we arrived. Service was super speedy - drinks, chips, and salsa in barely enough time to glance at the menu. They've got good deals on lunch specials, but I opted for the lunch chicken poblanos enchiladas with beans instead of rice. The food came out just as fast. The salsa was fresh and bright. The chips were crispy, not too greasy, and perfectly salted. The chicken in the enchiladas was a tad dry and a tad tough, but the sauce, which was more of a mole than I was expecting was delicious enough to make up for it. The guacamole salad was definitely cut with sour cream, given away by the tang. They've got happy hour specials (16oz Bud Light draft for $.99), but we had to get on the road back to Atlanta.

Cute place, great food, great prices - I felt "transported" from York County to a small town in Mexico

I was in York around dinner time by myself and I figured I'd check out something new and found Rey Azteca. My taste buds and my stomach are happy I did! I had the special, beef enchilada and beef taco, a beer and then finished out all of with flan. Everything was great including the chips and salsa. And the prices - put it all together and this place is worth driving to! Oh, and when I came in 8 o'clock the place was packed with only 2 tables available - always a good sign! If you're searching for authentic Mexican food with great flavor - this IS your destination!

Four stars for this one, guys, just because the prices are pretty high on some items... other then that, it would be a 5!

Food is yum, lots of variety. The rice is better than the other spots locally. Service needs some work.

Meh. Mediocre food and a dirty, ugly building. Rosita's on Congress street is much better.

I had the Shrimp Al Pastor, Barbacoa and Carnitas all on flour tortilla. Each is topped with something different which gives in a unique spin. The Barbacoa with crispy onions and poblano cream was excellent. The Carnitas with tequila pickled onions, fried green tomato & salsa cotija. The Shrimp were marinated with Al pastor sauce, topped with pineapple serrano, pic o& cilantro. You won't get that at Taco Bell! I was really impressed with the Staff, the vibe and the dinning room. The main entrance fronts Main St but there is more than adequate parking in the rear where there is an entrance and during good weather a nice patio as well. The have quite a selection of top shelf Tequilas as you might imagine and a wide selection of domestic and imported Cerveza's. I'll def be returning to check out some of the interesting menu options. A great independetly owned and operated option in 'downtown' Rock Hill!

We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in the back as we were a party of 8. Our server Marisol was fantastic. She was welcoming and very patient (as some of us could not make a decision). Marisol was extremely attentive throughout our visit constantly checking in even though she had several tables to serve. Served complimentary chips and salsa to begin with. The food fare is your typical Mexican cuisine: enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, carne asada, soups etc. we started off with the spicy guacamole which was delicious and lived up to its name. There's even a children's menu available for the less adventurous. The food dishes were all well portioned and reasonably priced. There's a full bar available as well.
