OMG! It had been a good 20 years since my last visit before today. A Facebook group Im in reignited my interest! It seemed like I walked into a totally new restaurant with the same name! Gorgeous remodel - upscale even. Absolutely beautiful decor- the color palette, the artwork and even the ceilings. We ordered two types of pizza - spinach white flatbread and a sausage red regular. Both were out of this world delicious!!! No wonder they're known for their pizza! Wow!!! The rest of the menu was extensive and impressive - wish I snapped a pic! Very fair pricing was sweet too! Visited for a late afternoon lunch on a Monday just before its happy hour. My wife and I ordered a couple of beers and a margherita pizza at the bar. There was an odd smell at the bar, but we endured. The service was fine and the pizza looked beautiful, but tasted average. The crust was gummy and the sauce was unspectacular. What made for the outstanding visual were the patches of mozzarella and large sprigs of basil on each slice. Upon leaving we noticed the restrooms and thought it odd that the restrooms were located on either side of the front door. Parking lot is large and has several HC spots. read more

The food here was good. The calamari had thicker rings which was a unique experience to try but it had pieces of fried zucchini in that I loved! The fries were thick cut and those aren't my cup of tea but I know some people like them! The mahi mahi sandwich was good and the pear and gruyère pizza was very unique and good but I couldn't eat multiple slices so it'll be a good leftover. Very kind staff and great service. My first time at this restaurant and I wouldn't go back. The service is very slow. After ordering the waitress came back to tell me they couldn't make a crispy chicken sandwich but could make a chicken parm or grilled sandwich which really made no sense. I was told this about 25 mins after the table ordered. The table then got their order and I had to wait about 10 mins after that. My burger was not good the patty was hard and cold. We were seated near large parties so it was pretty loud. I wouldn't visit the restaurant again. read more

February Visit: I visited Rex's Bar back in February and ordered the pork chop meal. It was one of the thickest, juiciest pork chops I've ever had--cooked to absolute perfection. I was so impressed that I even wrote a review and included a picture to show off how amazing it was. Today's Visit: Unfortunately, today's experience was the complete opposite. I ordered the same pork chop meal, expecting the same quality, but what I received was a burnt, tough piece of meat that was nearly impossible to cut, let alone eat. It clearly wasn't the same cut or preparation. I'm extremely disappointed--especially considering I spent $38, only to throw it away. Rex's Bar, consistency matters. This was a letdown. read more

Wow what a great restaurant with a festive atmosphere, expansive menus, superb selection of hand crafted cocktails, and a great happy hour. This is a great day night restaurant or a great place to grab a few drinks and appetizers. The staff was so friendly and the food was flavorful and delicious. Filler a drink I ordered a chocolate covered pretzel martini which tasted just like a chocolate covered pretzel with shaved ice particles of a drink shaken to perfect perfection. For an appetizer we got the Brie crustini with cranberries which was savory, cheesy, and decadent. I ordered the meatball salad with ricotta which is a strange combination but it worked and the meatballs were homemade. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos which were tangy and crunchy. This spot will be my new favorite happy hour hangout and they offer Tito Tuesdays with $5.00 drinks all Tuesday. read more

Held an annual cousins get together at Rexy's last night and all had a fantastic time. The service was great, and the food was fantastic! I ordered the NY strip med. rare, and it was done to perfection. I also asked our server if I could add sautéed shrimp with butter/ lemon and garlic to the platter and she checked with the kitchen and came back and said, "no problem". When she bought my platter out everyone in our party of 14 said "Wow- look at that!" Absolutely loved it! We are already talking about coming back next time the cousins get together. read more

This is a pretty place and the bar is huge. The food we had was just okay and the drinks were a lot of money for the size of them. The music was VERY loud and rather annoying. The one positive was the bartenders. They were so pleasant and talkative. Very helpful. Spending $100 on lunch was not what we had planned when we walked in so not sure we'll be back. If they offered more drinks and appetizer specials, we'd consider coming back. read more

Heard this face recently got renovated although I hadn't got the chance to visit pre-renovations. This is a classic spot for some Italian food, pizza, and drinks. Reasonable prices, and our server was really great! I ordered a seasonal spritz, which paired nicely with the Stoli pasta (penne vodka). The ambience is 5 stars!! The food is average. Drinks are weak. The people are nice though.

Went to check out rexys today. Great happy hour special drinks and appetizers. The antipasto board was a bit sad, but everything else was good. The prime rib sliders and clams were delicious. Dinners were delicious as well. The lasagna and the pasta bolenese were very good as well as the ribeye steaks. Desserts and cocktails were all good and service was very good. Visited for a family dinner. Didn't call ahead but the wait was not long. Ordered the arancini rice ball appetizer. The rice was overcooked it was like mashed potatoes with zero flavor. Bartender comes back to tell me the cook said it had no onions; curious how I took 2 bites and onions uncooked in both. I have only been here 2 times and will not be back. I asked for a skinny spicy margarita, which I was told they couldn't make it skinny bc they use mix. Every other place I have ever been has always made it from scratch. So I just got a spicy margarita that was entirely too spicy. I could only drink half of it because it burned my lips. Then we ordered two things off of the happy hour appetizer menu. One was the beer cheese, which was extremely watered down and not good. My friend ordered a dish with mussels, clams, shrimp and scallops. As soon as I saw the plate get put down I was like those scallops don't look right they were not pan cooked. They didn't have any char marks on them. They weren't broiled. It's like they threw them in the broth that the pasta was in, and they were entirely overcooked, and the shrimp were hard. We went here last night and it is definitely a must go to again! We had the corn crab chowder, calamari , chicken parm, and fusilli giganti. The chicken parm was nice and crispy . Everything we had was so good. The meatballs were superb - it was a beef,pork and veal mix . For dessert we had the dark chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling. Menu is very diverse. I come here with my family and friends because we like the food and atmosphere. I have to say it's probably the last time we will come here. It just got to be happy hour so we got a few items on the list. One was the cheesesteak spring roll, which was cut in 1/2 for $7.00. Seriously.... I thought it would have been 2 larger ones. One bite and it was gone!! Antipasto board was small and not worth the money. We never had the pizza there, and I asked the server about it and he highly recommended it . We ordered a cheese pie . When it came out, I was shocked. You could definitely tell it wasn't homemade, the crust was hard and the pizza had no flavor. We boxed it up to go, but ended up throwing it away when we got home as no one liked it. The server we have was also the bartender. He was well in the weeds!! I asked for a drink and got it about 15 minutes later. At that time, it wasn't even crowded. We have had him when Covid hit, and they had the tent outside. He needs to pick up the pace or they need to get more help. The dishes were piling up at our table and he would not even clear the table as he went by. We sat there waiting for water glasses to be filled. He worried more about his "bar" customers than his tables. It got to the point where we all just wanted to leave. I was hoping a manager would have come over to ask how everything was, nope! He never even asked any of us if we wanted dessert. My friend suggested we go here for dinner. This place has been around forever, yet I haven't been there in years. Walked in around 7 on Saturday, they were busy, but still had availability at the bar and tables. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Started out with some cocktails, & the Tuscan Plate app, which was very good. The had the prosciutto chicken, with mashed potatoes & asparagus. It was a large portion & very good. I took half home. My friend had the filet, mashed potatoes & spinach. She said it was very good. I'm glad we went, because now I have another good place to eat, that's close to home. read more

It's the Best Sausage Pizza Here's why: the sausage is Hot, yeah ya read that right, not only that, it's grated, not sliced, so it covers the whole pizza, and it's delicious, it's spicy but not too spicy, but the flavor wonderfuly Italiano.. the sauce and cheese compliment each other, the crust, divine. Okay so can I just say I've lived 15 mins from here almost my entire life and never known about this hidden gem!! It's like tucked away pub you always pass by but never stopped in that you need to go ahead and stop in! First of all they have great drink and food specials. Second the food is so good. The spicy mussels were so good we actually asked for more sauce on the side to continue dipping our bread! We also tried the lamb appetizer which was so good and came with 4 pieces so it could double as an entree if paired with a side. I actually really like it here. We went a few years ago for dinner with some friends and I remember the food being decent. I went here again a few weeks ago for dinner. We were able to get seated right away. I got the white sangria which was delicious. Tasted fresh and not pre made. I got the chicken Marsala as an entree and it was huge!!! 7/31/2020 Ordered a pitcher of Sangria (as advertised) for $30. My friends and I have ordered this with our meals many times over the years. This time it came out as a carafe, not a pitcher but for the same price of $30. It came to 2 - 16ounce cups with ice & fruit, I should add at this time, that if we ordered by the cup(16 ounce) it would've been $10 a cup. We asked the waiter if the carafe was a different price, he said no. We were going to send it back but were told it would be taken care of. Our food came, we ate & drank the Sangria then the manager came over and very rude about the entire matter. This is the 2nd time they've been rude. My wife and I had dinner here the other night. This is a semi-regular stop for us, as it is always on point. Once again, they did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken fettuccini alfredo and my wife ordered the cioppino. Both meals were delicious and the portions were generous. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that my pasta could have been cooked for another minute and my wife asked for no crab meat in her cioppino, but it was in there. Not a deal breaker for her, she just didn't want it that night. Overall, we really like it here and would definitely recommend a stop if in the area. read more
