I called Daniel, who happened to be in the neighborhood and was here in a mere 20 minutes. He identified the problem, called the parts supplier, found what was needed was in stock, ran out to get the part, came back a few minutes later and finished the job. Maybe I should say "parts" since he asked if I wanted to replace both of the shelf supports. Given the age of the dishwasher, the fact that they're plastic and that one had already just broken, that seemed like an excellent idea that hadn't crossed my mind until he mentioned it. The total time from when it broke to when he did an excellent job of fixing it couldn't have been more than 90 minutes. I've never experienced anything like it in my life!

He came within the time frame quoted and diagnosed the issue in probably 20 minutes. I figured we'd have to wait a few days for the part and he said he'd go pick it up from the shop. He was gone for about 45 minutes to pick up the part and explained what was wrong. In another 30 minutes he was done, cleaned up and ready to go. His pricing was fair, and MUCH lower than replacing the fridge! Believe the positive ratings....the best experience I've had with appliance repairs...ever!

Called best buy back and they told me they don't know what's going and it's their system. He said it will take 24hours and this was being told to me after 3 days of waiting. 15min after I get off the phone with him, I get an email saying my order was cancelled. This is the worst best buy I have ever been to. Better to go in and buy with cash then deal with their bad customer service over the phone. They don't even deserve 1 star.

9/30/2024 SameDay Appliance reached out and they have secured the dishwasher back in place so…read moretenant can use it. 9/17/2024 We hired SameDay Appliance to fix the dishwasher in our rental unit, the quote was $322 to add the drain hose and add the airgap. Labor cost was $190. The work was half completed. The technician left, the dishwasher was still pulled out, and not secured. And they quoted another $160 to add the mounting hardware. We should have ordered a new dishwasher from the store instead.

I could type out a novel here with the whole saga of "SameDay Appliance Repair" but I don't feel…read morelike wasting that much time out of my day. TL;DR we had an issue with the dishwasher. Home warranty company assigned these guys. They kept replacing small parts (door latch, door seal) that had nothing to do with the problems actually experienced. Had to push hard for them to come back out again. They did. Said they would replace the control board. And then we got a call from the home warranty company and they said SameDay said there was nothing wrong with it and tried to close out the work order. Thankfully our home warranty sent out someone else. They replaced the water pump. And all was fixed. Did some digging and SameDay is working under a fictitious business name and has a sketchy past. The receptionist that answers the phone is incredibly rude as well. Stay away!
