This is the second time ordering from here. I think I forgot I wasn't impressed the first time. I got a Cheeseburger with tater tots. First they charge an extra $3 for tots instead of fries. As you can see in the photo, I got fries and no tots. The delivery service kindly reimbursed the $3 so kudos to them! The fries were not crispy and had nothing going for them other than being greasy wimpy potato sticks which did nothing for me and ended up in the trash. The burger patty is about a quarter inch thick, similar to something you would get at a fast food restaurant and was overcooked. There was so much sauce on the burger that there was no way to touch or hold it without getting it all over my hands and I had to hold it over the box to keep from dripping it all over me and the floor. Not grease or burger juices (there were no juices as the patty was very dry) just an overload of sauce! Perhaps that was to cover up the fact the burger was cooked dry. I doubt they will get anymore of my business and I cannot recommend them to anyone. This was a huge disappointment of a meal. read more

My lady, her roommate and myself made a GrubHub order. 3 burgers with sides. They only bothered to send 2 burgers and 2 sides,even though the s reen shot of the order and receipt showed all 3 were ordered and payed for. When the delivery driver came with the food, my lady went thru the order with the delivery driver to confirm everything was there. Obviously not. The driver went back to Rex's and was told they were done for the night. It wasn't until the driver returned to Rex's that they decided to be sneaky and edit the order. Then they gave a partial refund for the missing items. Not good business practice guys. You don't let your manager and employees pull crap like this. They did not bother to call or in any way let us know they screwed up. And to be sneaky and surreptitiously deceptive in editing the order AFTER THE FACT is HORRIBLE business. And according to my lady and roommate, the food was not very good at all. If there was a lower rating, this company deserves it. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Service - good Food - quite average. Nuggets were packed that we get at home from Costco. Fries were just okay. Burger is not extraordinary either. The theme is only in the menu. Most of items are pretty much frozen when we had and it was just put on the grill and assembled back up. read more

Service was amazing, put mayo on our burger when we asked for no mayo, felt bad asking for a remake but she was more than happy to do it. When she brought the remake out she also brought fries which were also amazing. Burger patties were juicy and exceptionally cooked. Colossal sauce was also amazing. The service here is remarkably good, especially when considering the other aspects of the Rex Prehistoric Patties experience. More than $10 for an a la cart burger, slow prep times, undirected self-busing, and a sparse menu set Rex at a disadvantage to begin with, far before you've even seen the food. 2 stars instead of a full out one because despite all the flaws of Rex, I don't mind tipping here because the people are so genuinely nice and clearly trying their best. On to the food: The patties are thin, smash burger style, which can be incredible given the right seasoning and careful sandwich composition. Unfortunately, Rex lacks either of these. Every burger I've had has been either a salt lick or bland to the point of rivaling mom's low sodium meatballs, and there is absolutely no in between. The cheese is uninspired but classic, so nothing to worry about there, but the veggies seem to be perpetually wilted. The sandwiches are sloppily constructed, even eating in - don't even bother risking delivery with this shop. Now, for a $5 burger combo, I'd be willing to overlook all these flaws. But that's not the price. A burger, no fries, no drink, before tip, can run north of $12. For the same price, I can get perfectly crafted wagyu sliders with table service just a couple blocks away. The absence of fries at the price point, given the apparently nostalgia-driven fast food smash burger style, is borderline insulting. Worst for last, Rex has somehow managed to mess up a peanut butter bacon burger. First off, no pickle, which is the lynchpin ingredient in making the combination work. Secondly, adding liquid smoke for apparently no reason, as it adds nothing to the overall flavor profile except a slightly artificial aftertaste. Finally, the usage of the blandest unsweetened peanut paste known to man. If you want peanut butter and bacon, wait for killer burger instead. 2/5 stick to the dino nuggies and pleasant chat with the cooks. read more

Oh man, you know it was such a disappointment coming here. My son was really looking forward to eating here. I had bookmarked it for when we came out to Salem. We get there, the restaurant is in like a food court place. We order and the woman seemed like she was over the day and was almost annoyed we were ordering. All good, didn't think anything of it. Our food is ready and she tells me they are out of toys that come with the kids meal (why we got the kids meal). I was like maybe that would've been nice to know before we ordered the kids meal and played full price for it. The food was saltier than the cashiers attitude towards us for ordering. The lemonade was basically water :( just all around such a disappointment. Maybe I had high expectations for this place, but it didn't even meet the bare minimum. The Mexican restaurant next to it looked good though! Maybe we'll go there next time! read more

We went on the 2nd day they were opened and we were highly impressed! Juicy medium cooked burgers, they taste handmade. I hate having to "add" cheese for an extra cost. In my mind it should be automatic on a burger but I know some people don't want cheese. Every burger comes with sauce, lettuce, tomato and pickles. All the other toppings are extra. Fries were delicious. We were told starting next week it's one sauce per order (ketchup or ranch) and then they are gonna start charging for a 2nd. Either way, it's worth it. I stumbled upon this place when I visited the Fork Forty food hall. Great place for a burger! I like this place for a few different reasons. First of all, have loved dinosaurs since I was little so the artwork attracted me really quickly. Also, the lights really lit up the place and caught my attention. Another thing that is great about this place is the simple menu. At the food hall, you can get overwhelmed with all of the options. Burgers, toppings and food options for kids. I got a burger with pepperjack cheese and jalepenos and it was super juicy and delicious. Thanks for bringing a new burger joint to the food hall! read more

Went today - Rex burger? Would think it would be a fat juicy burger - worst burger I've ever had .. don't recommend at all. Ordered with some girl at the counter ... paid, then waited almost 20 mins for the food- watched a guy walk up - order, then get his burger b4 me. Got my order then told them it was a Togo order again, so I had to wait even longer - the girl walked by and I asked for some dipping sauce for fries and was I ignored just so she could get on her cell phone. Burger was cold, tasteless and had no flavor. We ordered a few burgers from this place with Uber Eats. The burgers were well seasoned, the buns perfectly toasted and the bacon and rings on the western were delicious. They had a special if you spent $40 or more you got an order of free loaded fries. We received a big box of fries covered in cheese, bacon and grilled onions-fries were well salted, crispy and just loaded with toppings. this was our third time coming to Rex burger and we have yet to eat anything from there... same thing every time. exhausted annoyed employee telling us the wait is 30 minutes and that they are out of everything before we even make it to the counter.... terrible customer service and the place was dead!!! i know online orders can clog things up but like I said this was the 3rd time we'd gone and this happened. I've worked in restaurants for years and it's really just a shame that the service is costing this place money. I ordered the Peanut Butter burger through UberEats. They were doing the collab with Slick Licks Ice Cream so I also got a chocolate shake. I was unsure about the peanut butter, I've never had one but know a lot of people love it. Well, consider me converted! It took a couple bites to kind of adjust, it was definitely weird, but by the end of the burger I could not deny that it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. It didn't hurt that the burger and bacon were cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got the Rex burger with no onions or pickles and his only complaint was there was a lot of lettuce so the burger was kind of sliding around a bit. Wow! My daughter and I went for lunch today and each had a Rex burger and fries. Hot off the griddle, the first bite was the perfect balance. The juicy handmade patty, pickles, and red onion were all set off by the most perfectly toasted bun. I can't say enough about the bun- soft, toasted amazingness!! Got take-out regular cheeseburger (Single Rex) and small fries. Added mushrooms, bacon, extra cheese. Hold the onions and sauce. Really hit the spot. Burger was handmade, big, thick, juicy. No relation to burgers from fast food establishments. I don't think I could eat a Double Rex in one sitting. Fries in the box with the Rex were limp, but tasted fine. As a regular of fork forty and of Rex specifically the veggie burger/ "vegisaurus lex" has consistently been my new favorite veggie burger. The staff of Rex are always friendly I honestly have no complaints and will continue to patron Rex. read more
