Dr. Moutan Barrett, is a great plastic surgeon, extremely meticulously which I truly appreciate. Had to go back for a couple bumps that wouldn't go away. After 5 months of my procedure he addressed the mini procedure to remove the bumps. In less than 30 min I was good to go with bumps removed! Warning: Avoid This Incompetent, Arrogant Plastic Surgeon at All Costs! This so-called "surgeon" butchered my face and left me scarred--physically and emotionally. I trusted him for a "lip lift," only to be left with a double lip reduction leaving me with a deformed, sagging lower lip that never "settled" as promised after six agonizing months. When I reached out to him, he had the audacity to demand I remove my negative review in exchange for a "fix"--a skin graft using my own donor skin, which sounded like another reckless experiment. Desperate, I considered it but declined after researching the risks. Then, he tried to upsell me an expired Permalip implant from a defunct company for $1200, requiring a waiver to dodge liability. This was his solution to the disaster he created! This man is not just incompetent--he's snide, mean-spirited, and dangerously out of touch. Who suggests a double lip reduction for a 55-year-old woman with naturally full lips? His arrogance and outdated techniques destroyed my self-esteem. The trauma of seeing my lips carved into strips on his table haunts me; I feel maimed. His arrogant demeanor and masochistic approach made every visit a nightmare, leaving me with PTSD. Steer clear of this washed-up, opinionated hack who imposes his warped vision on patients. Do your research, ask every question, and never trust this man with your face. Save yourself the regret and find a real professional. Previously removed review: Buyer Beware: I agree this doctor has some skills as a plastic surgeon (why the 2 stars). However, when you go in be prepared to be your own advocate and get absolute clarity on what your desired outcome is BEFORE surgery. This doctor gave me complexes I never had before. He told me I had long face syndrome and my face was very "simian like". He suggested a lip life w/a lower lip reduction. Hesitant about the reduction I trusted his expertise. Only during the pre-op apt. did I learn that he would be reducing both upper and lower lips! I asked him if we could do the lip lift first and see, showed him a pic from me as a kid (I have always naturally had full lips)....nope. "I don't want you turning out to be one of those Beverley Housewife types". He proceeded to take out two fat strips from my natural 55 year old lips. Somewhere in there he managed to do a "lift". He never once measured my philtrum length. It was 11mm before surgery and 10.5mm after. Now I am left with an unsightly scare under my nose, two deflated and loose & empty lips that show the bottom row of teeth and a downturned mouth. Absolutely awful in every sense of the word. His response to this...you wanted the reduction right?! NO! He denied ever making the comment about the Beverly Hills Housewives...and continues to add insult to injury as he denies any wrong doing OR refunding my money. He is arrogant and makes snide remarks. Pay attention to the things he says under his breath (he admitted to not having much experience with lip reductions). Be prepared to wait at least an hour for your check up apts and high turnover with staff. read more

This was my first visit with Dr. Moulton Barrett. I had a couple of concerns. He understood these and addressed them in layman's terms. I felt comfortable speaking with him and felt as if he genuinely respected his patients and their concerns. Upon nearing the end our appointment I inquired if I might be a candidate for a certain procedure, he did not hesitate to respond candidly by stating no. I had a skin growth on my face that was worrying and I did not want to wait; since it is Christmas Eve all other medical offices would not take anyone in, but doctor fit me into his busy schedule and quickly saw me. I was assured that the growth did not appear malignant, but getting a biopsy was the way to go to make sure. His experience was apparent, the attention to detail was on point, plus Jessica & Elva were there with me every step of the way making me feel at home. Good thing I went to my doctor at KAISER same day and blood pressure was normal.
